For kicks, I went to the Mobil station in Glencoe (less than 4 minute drive) and they had the gas prices at $3.999 for the (93) and $3.499 for the (89). This difference seemed much more normal. I called the store to ask and the manager tried to say that he has to pay a $.90 premium for the higher octane gas. He must be the only station in the country that has to do so. I am quite aware that there are other gas stations in the area with lower gas prices than this gas station which prices gas at $3.25 per gallon. Honestly, if this gas station was not in route to my job I probably would not have stopped in because there is not anything specific about it, other than it having a service center attached for auto repairs. One thing that baffles me about many of the gas stations in Chicagoland versus the inner city of Chicago are the gas prices! I consider myself luckily that I work in Chicagoland, so I can take advantage of those lower gas prices in Chicago's surrounding cities like Skokie and Morton Grove because prices in Chicago are horrendous. The "owner" quickly came out and poured kitty litter all over the puddle of gas, and when I challenged the fact that I was actually paying for the gas that leaked out the hose, he said he wasn't responsible, that I should have been watching the entire time the gas was pumping, rather than sitting in my car. There is now a major amount of gas on the ground covered in kitty litter. No cat around, so this must be a chronic problem.

I have to say that out of the other 7-Eleven locations throughout Skokie, this is by far the best, why? It is because you can always count on fresh foods to be stocked inside of the warmers, plus cold foods stocked in the freezer which is something that all 7-Eleven locations should be consistent with. As for the one thing that I cannot stand about this location is its location in general because it sits in-between Church St, Skokie Blvd and Gross Point Rd like a shack on a desert island.
