They got those chips that are so good: {not produced by some super corporation food company} that they know what sells well in an area that might be where a normal national medium income or above person may not feel safe stopping in to for a purchase or gas. The also carry FAYGO GRAPE and FAYGO BLACK-CHERRY big 24 oz. naturally and artificially flavored Soda POP. Naturally Caffeine Free, cause you don't need caffeine if you live in this neighborhood. That is not what you in this area for. The Drink is GREAT. They accept food stamps. Bullet Proof Windows between you and cashier. You have to be buzzed in after the sun goes down. read more

This place engages in dirty business practices. They sell car washes when the car wash is closed and only tell customers after the fact. I personally know someone who was screwed by this because they live out of town. The owners know that people will lose the receipt, will forget, will not be back around, it's just dirty and unacceptable. If you can't provide a car wash, DON'T SELL IT! HORRIBLE! I had an incident today with the store clerk that was very rude and disrespectful. I pull in to get gas and as I ring my card the machine says "See store clerk" So the store clerk over the speaker asked me if I needed help, I said no i'm fine. So I try to ring my card again, he tells me to come inside and pay.. so I go inside he asked me "How much do i want to put on it" I said 40 he then proceeds to tell me to go outside and pump my gas and I can comeback and pay.. (which I didn't want to do in the first place, Id rather pay first) I go do what he says I come back in and sure enough my card doesn't go through. The clerk has VERY horrible english, I cannot understand anything he says.. He starts to get vile with me and threatens me saying he will call the police and I'm accused of stealing..(I've never stole anything in a day of my life) I proceeded to tell him I had no idea why the card wasn't going through and asked if I can go and get my phone out of my car to call the card company. I told him i'd leave my ID or wallet with him while going to my car to get my phone. Sure enough I'm accused of stealing again (with his horrible english) and he again accuses me & threatening to call the police) I told him i'm not going anywhere nor am I stealing.. I just want to go get my phone out of the car. The customers behind me were even appalled by the manner he was treating me and screaming things at me, one guy offered to pay my gas but I said no thank you. I'm very upset and frustrated and very embarrassed by the way he was treating me. Long story short I found out my mobil card had fraud activity on it and was cancelled (someone hacked into my information and buying stuff all over florida): HOWEVER that doesn't give the store clerk the right to yell and scream at me in very horrible broken english. Before I left I asked to speak to his manager he then proceeds to lie and say he is the manager (which he wasn't) so I said ("Your the manager?!" then he said No, then he proceeds to say to me to write down my name & number..which was bullshit so I said No I want your managers number because the way you are speaking to me is very disrespectful. He gives me the store number.. Bottom line I called corporate and reported this incident because I hope that no other customer is ever treated this way, Just because I can't understand a word you say in very horrible broken english doesn't give you the right to accuse false accusations about me. CLEARLY I wasn't trying to steal petty gas. Also why would you authorize gas transaction if my card wasn't going through? WHY? that doesn't even make any sense.. Negative 5 stars if i could. Called to get pricing for my delivery drivers and was told they don't give prices over the phone and then he hung up on me when I asked for a corporate number. I called back again and he didn't even say hello before he hung up. Took two more phone calls just to get the owners name. The clerk was very rude. Worst gas station and customer service in a gas station/car wash that i've ever experienced in my life. With gas over $4.50 a gallon, i opted to get a car wash so i could get the discounted gas rate of $4.30ish. WRONG. I went to the car wash, paid, got my car washed, then pulled up to the pump. I went inside to pay and show my car wash receipt and they said it didn't count because i didn't come inside and buy them together. the indian manager for the car wash was there and did NOTHING to fix this. he practicaly laughed in my face for not knowing in advance to buy the wash and pay for the gas at the same time. this gas station is a complete scam, rip off. they purposely lure customers in with the promise of a lower gas price with the purchase of a car wash, and then DONT GIVE IT TO THEM. false advertising at its best. i promptly said f this, peaced out, and got my gas elsewhere. read more

Worst customer service I have experienced in a while! And AWFUL CAR WASH!!!!!!!!!! I stopped by yesterday to get gas and a car wash. I ended up paying for the deluxe car wash (or whatever the $8.95 wash is called), even though I'm fairly certain that this place only has one type of wash cycle, regardless of what you actually pay or the level you choose. Regardless, I went for the best and ended up getting the worst car wash I've ever had (and I'm counting the time my 4- and 7-year-old neighbors washed my car!). I noticed right after that the blow dryer barely moved the water droplets around, let alone off the car's surface. But, I had to get my kids home so I just figured that the wind would take care of it during the 7-minute drive home. When I got to my garage I noticed how poorly the car had been washed: bird poop still on windows, randomly located mud splatters up the sides (the sides were fairly mud splattered prior to the car wash ... hence the need for the car wash), a few new scratches to the paint, etc. I stopped by first thing today to ask for a re-wash and was VERY RUDELY told by both the car wash and gas station attendants that they wouldn't re-wash the car because I didn't tell them about the bad wash yesterday immediately after. Who gets out of their car after going through an automatic car wash to check the quality of the wash?!?! Maybe I should have, but these guys really should have just honored the very obvious horrible wash with a second run through and not made such a big deal about it. Instead, they have lost a customer forever ... and specifically one with a Yelp account who who can tell you how wonderful the car wash and customer service is at the gas station on McCormick and Howard. There must be a new manager here now: Carlos. It is nice to have an automatic car wash handy on Green Bay Rd in Evanston where gas is reduced by $.20 if you indicate you would like a car wash at the pump. I have used it frequently. This time, when I put the car in neutral, it must not have engaged. I didn't realize it until the car went off the track. At least I was able to quickly turn the wheel before great damage could have been done. The next day, Carlos had the technician look for possible damage to his equipment. He was able to adjust a noozle my car had hit. Carlos called to tell me there would be no charge, don't worry about it, and Happy New Year! What a relief! Some businesses could have inflated the damage and really hit my insurance. Thank you so much, Carlos! read more
