Don't know what it is like waiting here if there's a line since it is now one car ata time washing or drying. Car doesn't come out as clean since it is touchless and the jets that spray the car are a lot higher pressure and louder to try to clean better. I prefer our $5 in Chicago that cleans with automated scrubbers for a cleaner wash. In Evanston that looks like the competition Classic across the street for $7. read more

It's a gas station! I just got gas and grudgingly filled up my own tank (I mean it's been 15 years since I lived in Oregon full time and I still get grumpy pumping my own gas). This one was the cheapest I've seen in a long time, as painful as it is to say that. It's a reasonably large gas station, located just east of Oakton and McCormick. At first it didn't want to take my card, but that may be because I left it in too long after it said to remove it; when I tried it again, I had no problems. In and out in a few minutes. read more

Most new car washes are more than $3, but this one isn't! They have different levels of caw washes and a monthly package. Great place for a $3 wash to get the snow and salt off the car in winter. They also have free vacuums. read more

I went to this station to fill up my car and take it for a quick wash. No issues filling up since I paid at the pump. The car wash was another story entirely. The wash did not spray any soap and my car was covered in oily water from the antenna to wheels. I informed the manager of the issue and he gave me a code to wash it the next day. My windows were so nasty that I had to use the squeegees at the pump (which were broken and needed replacing as well). I came back the following day and the wash was opened so I assumed that the problem was fixed. Nope. No soap; only grease and water. I went in to get a refund for the wash and they would not provide one. They told me to come back tomorrow for another wash. I told them that they need to turn off the wash, but it didn't look like they were going to. I called their 'corporate office' and they told me the same thing. I filed a complaint with Shell's corporate office, but I doubt anything will come of it. TLDR; Don't wash your car at this gas station. read more

I drove my car through the car wash and it was damaged. It ripped off a piece of wheel trim and broke off a brake light. I went in to report it and they essentially blew me off. I made one guy actually go into car wash and he retrieved the broken off pieces. It was clearly damaged by the car wash. Its not like it broke off an antenna or something sticking out - it ripped things off the body of my car! There was no manager present an the clerks kept saying they could not do anything they were just employees. They gave me managers home phone which I called and he was not there. I left the station - but I called three or four times over the next few days. I was always told the manager was out and he'd be back in "maybe one hour or maybe not til tomorrw" or something equally vague. ! I finally got a manager who told me it was not his problem and I should go to the police or get a lawyer! No apology - no offer to pay for damages and very rude and insulting on the phone. I got the car repaired and it cost $350. I filed a police report - and now have to go to small claims court.!! Stay away from this place. That's not way to do business. Had they apologized and offer me $50 bucks at the time I probably would have taken it ! Now they will have to pay the 350, court costs, and an attorney's fee. The carwash ripped off my driver side mirror. The clerks inside could not have cared less, kept referring to a sign being posted that said they were not responsible for any damages. I told them if this happened to my car it might happen to others so they should probably at least take a look at it. They told me the car was machinery was fine. DON'T GO HERE! read more

I'm glad they have E85 for my car. They also have a button for people in wheelchairs to easily get help filling up gas. I usually have to call when going to other gas stations. Staff is friendly/courteous and the place is always spotless. read more

Worst service EVER. If you purchase a car wash at the gas terminal, the receipt doesn't come out and you're expected to go inside to retrieve your car code. I wanted a tank of gas and a pack of gum. Drive up, 7:20PM Thursday, pump says "swipe card or lift nozzle to pay inside". Good, I lift nozzle, start pumping gas, start cleaning windows. Pump shuts off after 2.8 gallons. I try to pump more (my tank holds 10 and I was at E on pulling up). I look at 2 clerks inside both looking at me. I give a "hey what's happening" look and shrug. They keep looking. Finally I walk in and ask what's happening. "You have to pay for the gas" "well, yes, I know, but I want some more" "pay for the gas, and then get more" "but I wanted to pay for it all at once and get a pack of gum" "you can pay for the gas, then go get more" "are you crazy? I wanted 10 gallons, not 3, why are you wasting my time" Clerk keeps looking at other clerk and speaking not in English. Me: Run my card for the gas I owe. "uhhh..., we can run for more and you can prepay" "no, we're done, run the 3 gallons, I will go somewhere else that wants my business" Clerk proceeds to waste another 5 minutes arguing with me. All I wanted at that point was to pay what I owed and then get out of there. Finally they let me pay my $9 and leave, it's 7:42PM. I will never ever return. Fuck this place. read more

It's a minor thing. It grew. The weather necessitated a car wash. I requested the "ultimate " car wash. I pointed to the "ultimate" on the p.o.s. mat, that differentiated the kinds available. The receipt wasn't super clear (one of those thermal printed receipts). It wasn't until I was already ensconced in the care wash and the talking machine was thanking me for my purchase of the "express" wash that I realized there was this problem. Trying to figure out if I could use the talking machine to upgrade, an unbidden employee helped me by pushing the hard to miss "start" button for me. The PROBLEM: I went back into the cash registers to figure it all out. The employee that rang me up initially actually told me what I said. His chosen style was to disagree with me. Went through the car wash and it broke my license plate frame, my trailer hitch cover, and left a film all over my car. Called and explained what happened and the owner refused to refund me the cost of the wash and was kind of a jerk. I wouldn't recommend this place. read more

3 times I've bought the same $1.49 bag of Fritos here ($1.49 printed on bag and advertised)...the cashier (owner?) never scans the item, punches $1.79 sometimes $1.89 on the register plus tax and never hands out a receipt. I notice that when other customers don't buy gas, just items, the manager never scans the products, just overcharges a dime here, half a dollar there...and never hands out a receipt. read more

I have gotten gas here twice this winter specifically so I can get a car wash. The car wash is fine. I have gotten the #1 Ultimate car wash for $9. However, I noticed that on both occasions, I was charged the higher price for gas than the posted lower price with a car wash even though I indicated at the pump that I wanted a car wash. I raised my concern with the clerk about my experience and received a refund both times for the additional charge. I suggested to the clerks that customers who bought a car wash may be charged the higher rate of gas (a programming issue). He said he would look into the matter. HORRIBLE customer service. I went to the car wash at this gas station today. I paid for my wash with cash and proceeded to go through the wash. My car ended up falling off the track and I got stuck in the car wash. I honked my horn and no one came. I had to get out of the car and walk through the car wash to the gas station to get some help becasue the was NO attendant on duty! I get in the car wash to tell them the situtation and after the two employees looked at each other confused, one came out to help. He seemed very unsure about how to get the car out. He told me to get in and drive the car out. So I did that. Once the car was out I asked for my money back. He immediately said no. According to them this was my fault and the only way I would be able to get my money back is if I produced a receipt. There was no receipt, it DID NOT print out. The car wash was $8 that's all I was asking for. They made me feel like they thought I was trying to get over on the car wash. The owner happened to be there. VERY RUDE! I told him the situtation and he says I need the receipt. I explain that a receipt did not print out. He tells me my only option is to get the free car wash. Why would I go back through the car wash that I was just stuck in? He said "well I guess you need to call the police." Really? This is how you handle a customer. What happened to customer satisfaction? To top it off they started to say that I could go through the car wash without having paid; meaning I would have drove my car through the car wash just for fun and the soap and water magically appeared on my car. I couldn't believe it! It's not so much about the $8, more so about the principal and the fact that you treat customers in this way. There was no apology, nothing. I felt totally disrespected and I feel like I was ripped off. I will NEVER go to this gas station again and it is my hope that the owner gets put out of business. I don't understand how he runs a business being such a jerk. Oh and they are not listed in the yellow pages as a Shell they are A & D foods. read more
