Worst place ever. Came there out of necessity since I had a tire puncture. Spoke with mechanic…read moreabout getting a plug and a patch for my tire. Mechanic took the wheel in the shop to do the service. When he brought out the tire to mount on the car I have noticed that the whole diameter of the rim is scratched. When I questioned him, he told me "that's ok I scratch my wheels all the time". When I pressed, he said that they have old tire machine and it scratches rims when used. This type of service is not acceptable by any means, come in to get $20 patch job done and leave with $200 worth of damage to my car. When I kept insisting that this service is unacceptable and requested to speak with the manager, was told that he won't be in until 10am. At that point I refused payment and decided to leave. Mechanic got extremely rude and started speaking to me in condescending tone. Business like this should be called out for crapy work they do. It might not be mechanics fault per se but he should have told me that tire machine might scratch my wheel. Business owner should really invest in decent equipment that does not damage clients property who put their trust in them to do quality work. Stay away from this place, I have nothing but negative thoughts about my experience there.

REVIEW OF MY 88YR OLD LEGALLY BLIND MOTHER ATTEMPT TO RETURN AN END OF LEASE CAR TO NISSAN ON…read moreSTATEN ISLAND. This was my experience! First i callled Nissan Financial and asked if there policy on lease returns. I was told that i could return end of car lease at any cerified Nissan dealership. I also double checked by calling the dealer and explained the situation and asked if i needed an appt to return the car. I was told that no appt was needed and just drop in and theyll take the car back. I was thinking wow this is easy. But unfortunately I was wrong. I took the car to this dealership and I informed them of my legally blind 88yr old mother and her 89 year old KOREAN WAR veteran husband situation and how the due to health related issues had to use this dealeship to make the lease return They asked if the car was infact purchased there and obviously in this case it wasn't. And I was bluntly informed that I can not return the leased Nissan to that dealer. That it was Nissans policy to return cars to the dealer of orgin. So, technically what they told me was that if I bought a Nissan in California and relocated to Staten island I would have to now drive back to CA to return the car. I once again informed them of my 88yr old legally blind Mothers situation and I was them informed that under no circumstances can she return the car to them. I was also rudely and matter of factly told " that the same way I drove the car to there dealership "convenient" I can do the same and drive the car back to the south jersey dealer it was leased at. And again under no circumstances can my legally blind 88yr old Mothers and 89yr old demtia diagnosed Korean war veteran husband return the car to them. The Reader can decide if you want to do business with a dealership that treats there handicapped, eldery, veteran customers like this. Or choose another dealer. This is after calling and visiting 3 other places that were supposedly open according to google, but actually decided to stay shut - likely because it had snowed fairly heavily. Anyway, I was lucky enough to get Elton on the phone who told me to come on in for my oil change and I got there 6 minutes later. First, he cleaned the snow off my car. Offered me a seat in the waiting room in the back of the shop. After fiddling on my phone for a bit, I decided to go and check on the status and just as I stood up off the chair Elton was walking in to let me know it was done. 15 minutes, maybe, for the oil change. Synthetic for a 2024 car - was $90. Reasonable. Not do it yourself cheap, but not outrageous either. Honestly, no appointment, weekend, bad weather, arrive and receive service immediately, friendly. I'm literally writing this immediately after leaving because they deserve the praise. Also, there was a beautiful.. I mean absolutely beautiful Chevrolet inside the garage, I'd guess from the 80's, but it could have been late 70. Heck, it could even have been early 90's, I have no idea. All I know is 20 years ago I'd call it a piece of junk but today I couldn't take my eyes off it. Funny how that happens. Anyway, I digress a second time. Hylan Auto Repair, Elton, thank you for taking care of this chore that I've had on my todo list for 2 months longer than it should have been on there. Next time I know where to go to get it done in time. Happy new year, too!
