Prices are steady on Coney Island Ave, holding at under $2.10 a gallon so where you gas up doesn't add to or take from your pockets. Then an older man approached me from the garage area, I'm thinking he's gonna ask me some ticklish business, when infact, this was the fine establishments proprietor. I peeled off $40 and went for the vintage style pump handle and he scurried in and then quickly back out to the island of gas and resumed his intensely broad sweeping strokes and then into quick and narrow wristy flicks. We chatted for a bit thereafter, he told me a bit of his childhood and I thought to do the same for a moment. About those beautiful snow white phantom doves of my childhood and their magical ways to make me smile as they fluttered about my eyes and ears -- but I thought then that this was his moment -- his moment to share and enjoy the walk down memory lane of his distant youth.

I only got an oil change so I can't comment on the other repairs and their cost. From reading other reviews it can be hit or miss ( one patron stated bring lube lol ). Oil change was quick and I waited in the waiting area. Dave the manager printed me a receipt and I was told to go at the regular cashier inside the quick mart on the other side. Their special is a free car wash with oil change. Their is no mention on the receipt of the oil change. Just tell the car wash attendant. He printed me a receipt for about $12 or 13. I feared I would have to pay some amount but that was not the case, when I made it to the final cashier. My car was really filthy and it came out 90% clean. Im not sure why, but I did notice after the car wash my car did not receive much attention in the drying process. All other cars had two people cleaning inside and out. However mine was neglected a bit. Overall I would come back again for the special. My regular mechanic usually charges 30 flat for an oil change. So another five won't break the bank and it comes with a decent car wash. I doubt I would ever pay for a car wash alone. The wash here is overpriced and rushed.
