Today I had one of the worst experiences at a Mobil gas station with Bolla Market in Staten Island.
I paid for Regular gas, received a receipt, got back into my car and drove away. A few minutes later I noticed my fuel level had NOT changed at all. Before fueling, my car showed only a few miles left. After "fueling," it still showed almost empty, and by the time I got home I had only 1 mile left in the tank.
I returned to the station with the receipt and calmly explained the issue. Instead of helping or checking the pump, the employee told me that Regular gas was unavailable and acted like it was somehow my problem -- even though the pump accepted payment and printed a receipt.
When I asked how they planned to resolve the situation since I clearly did NOT receive the fuel I paid for, the employee became aggressive, started yelling, and tried to force me out of the store instead of helping.
This is unacceptable customer service and extremely suspicious behavior. If a gas station accepts payment for fuel that customers may not actually receive, people deserve to know about it.
I strongly recommend everyone double-check their fuel gauge immediately after pumping gas at this location.
