I usually stop when I'm in a pinch and just want to put a splash of gas in to hold me over. But the store has all the necessities and the station overall is lit quite well at night. The gas station also does some car repair, so you'll see some extra cars parked in the rather tight lot... and now, there's a (delicious) Honduran food truck there as well, drawing even more traffic. With CVS already being there with their one-way drive thru for prescription pickup, the area can feel a little cramped. But fortunately, gas stations are one thing Greenbelt doesn't lack in.

I was in a hurry and trying to make it to my apartment before I was off to my next place. I knew I was going to need fuel and needed to make a quick stop to do so. I can echo the other reviews and tell you that this is one of the cheapest places in the area to get fuel. In fact, all their locations are always the lowest when compared to other places and chains. There is nothing special about this place. It is your run of the mill gas station. There is a small convenience store attached but mostly a gas station none-the-less. To me, it is an afterthought of a lot, but one that is worthy of your business. Five stars? No, but it serves its purpose.

They brought me in with the best price, and kept me as a loyal customer by working efficiently and affordably, telling me when something doesn't need to be done, and doing extras like fluid top-offs and headlight bulb installations at no charge. My latest visit there was today, where I needed front brake pads and rotors. I called a couple of shops near my home and got quotes of $450 and $360 -- Interstate Shell quoted me $270 and ended up doing it for $10 less in the end, well worth a 40-minute drive. You'll get further savings with pretty low gas prices there, too. My main caveat would be that there's no customer waiting area. At various times, I've borrowed a metal folding chair to sit either in the back of the convenience store or the edge of the gas station lot. The amenities of some other shops are nice, but I'm just not going to pay an extra $200 for a cup of coffee.

Unfortunately, when I arrived to the pump, I noticed that the super cheap prices were for cash-only purchases. I guess I cannot fault this business too much for the "bait and switch" because that's what a lot of gas stations are doing nowadays. This is for the gas, not service ( which I don't know about)…read more Gas is a fairly routine transaction. We all do it a lot. But there are many ways it can be annoying and not customer friendly, most of which are completely avoidable. First, this Shell had NPR going over its speaker system. I was a little taken back as I have NEVER heard NPR while filling up. That wax nice -- i really hate those ad-news TV things that some Chevron stations have installed. Next, the pumps had the octane going from lowest to highest, left to right. I really appreciate that--too many stations have the basic gas sandwitched between their two premium blends in a deliberate effort to trick you into selecting the higher priced gas. This location is right off the beltways outer-loop. Zip-zip I was back in my car and on my way home. Easy off, easy on the highway.
