He was attentive to our needs, and provided a quick and reasonable estimate...so we accepted the quote after assessing a few other questionable estimates from other contractors. We were able to get on his schedule quickly...and the job was completed in four days! Peter and Aaron did most of the work...they, and their support crew, did an incredible job! Our neighbors commented on how good it looks and were so happy with how quickly they worked (so parking was not an issue). Bill poured a concrete patio, steps, and driveway extension for us almost 2 years ago. Once it…read morestarted to dry, we immediately noticed a textural issue. When we brought it up he said "it'll wear down over time". We've since contacted him with multiple issues that have come up, with no response. Our concrete is flaking up, discolored, chipped in areas with wood exposed underneath? Also the brush finish is not consistent at all. Smooth in some areas and VERY abrasive in others. Our neighbors also had a concrete retaining wall poured by him, that's tipping over. All in all, I would not recommend Straight Up Concrete if you want a quality finish.
