We had an issues with the master bath toilet and we have been using the guest bathroom. I thought…read moreit was a real pain having only one bathroom, and did complain about it and then Karma came a calling. The septic tank backed up and now we had zero bathrooms, zero showers, and zero washer, etc. Of course I went straight to Yelp and found Alliance, they had the best reviews by far and I gave them a call and spoke to Nyla. She was so kind with a great sense of humor, which helped ease the stress. She asked the question, if we knew where the manhole was for the septic. Finding the manhole started a two day ordeal during a historic heatwave with shovels and by the third day a backhoe. Success! You would think calling on a Monday morning would be hard to schedule but Nyla arranged for a truck to be here that afternoon. Nyla sent the nicest driver Robert, who was friendly and knowledgeable and worked aggressively to solve the worst septic tank blockage he had ever seen. He worked diligently and in two hours he had the problem solved. Seriously, Robert was so nice. We needed some extra work done and Robert called first thing this morning with a quote and it was less expensive than our expectations! We would confidently and wholeheartedly recommend Alliance to anyone! And kudos to the owners for hiring such great workers.

We had a sewer line blockage at a new property…read more Background:A service technician from a national chain was not able to properly diagnose or resolve our issue in a day despite $5k in expenses for snake, camera, and hydro-jett. FWIW, they eventually sent us a next phase $30k estimate. We talked with local friends and got a referral to Corey. Corey and his team were able to diagnose and resolve the issue in a day for less than we paid the other company for their initial single day services. Many thanks to Corey and his team for taking on this work. You guys did a knock out job on the problem. You helped me answer lingering questions and feel at ease that we picked the right crew even before you started work.

Recently we remodeled a house here in SLO and we needed to replace the main sewer lateral from the…read morehouse to the City's sewer main in the street. We also decided to redo the aged galvanized water supply line to and upgrade the City's water meter. The sewer lateral replacement is somewhat straightforward in terms of finding plumbing contractors who could do it, and the cost is partially offset by the City through a credit. However, replacing the water supply line is more challenging. Both our plumber and contractor said it was a challenging job City's main water line under pressure. There are only a couple of local contractors who can do both jobs and identifying them is a bit of a "unicorn hunt". There is insurance, easement permits, traffic control, and more importantly familiarity with the City's utilities. Coastal Construction and Engineering checked all of the boxes and our experience was great from start to finish. The owner (Corey Sarros) showed up as scheduled and provided a bid onsite for both jobs. Pricing for this type of work is not inexpensive but reflects the extensive excavation, care needed for hook-ups to City infrastructure, multiple inspections, etc. Based on our investigations the price we received was very fair for the work required for our job and competitive with other specialty plumbing contractors. Scheduling was prompt and work started as promised. The work crew were hard working, experienced and knowledgeable about all aspects of processes in terms of the City's infrastructure. Corey was onsite daily to check-in on progress as well as coordinate inspections. From beginning to end this was a professional and positive business experience with great service. We now have a new 1" water supply line and a brand-new sewer lateral thanks to Coastal Construction and Engineering. Highly recommend them.

During the course of the project, I was regularly asked for feedback on the forms to confirm they matched what I was looking for. I was told, "We're not happy unless you're happy!" They definitely delivered!!! The project entailed removing old and cracked concrete and replacing it with about 20 yards of flat work to include a driveway and walkways. The driveway was formed up to allow proper drainage which was a huge improvement from the old driveway. The curves of the walkways provide a lot of curb appeal and the finish hasn't caused any puddling after heavy rains. Everything looks good and flows well. I can't say enough about the quality of their work and the excellent and timely service and call response. Highly recommended!!!
