Most offer a shop with some sort of take-away food attached, a carwash and a variety of emergency goods. So, even I was surprised to write this review, but I've always had a love hate relationship with this service station. The service is fairly average at best, and at night they switch to prepay, I hate prepay. This might sound like a negative review, and in some ways it probably is, but I'm actually giving them 4 stars, for nothing else than selling fuel at a good price. A price that is up to 10 cents cheaper than some other service stations, and you don't need a stupid voucher. Thanks Mobil.

Whatever the reason I don't care, I'm just so stoked to have cheap petrol. There are loads of people always there but you'll always find a free pump as there's quite a few of them. They don't have anyone helping you with your petrol which can be somewhat annoying, but I guess you get what you pay for. Also, watch out if you're trying to turn right into it when coming from the sea side. There's a huge island that blocks you from getting in so I always try get my petrol after I've been somewhere rather than when I'm going to the city.

They've always had trailers available on the days I've needed them and I haven't had to pre-book or wait. The friendly staff will help you hook the trailer up to your vehicle if you haven't a handy man in tow. Of course, they serve all the regular petrol station duties too, with fuel, over-priced food and drinks.

I have an old classic car as well as a Hilux and a new Corolla and when I moved to the area a few years ago I was recommended I go to Ward for my vehicle servicing and repair. Ward does my servicing, mechanical work and WOF's on all my cars and he is such a genuine honest mechanic. He has been in the business for donkeys' years, so he really knows his stuff, and nothing is a problem. He is hands down the most honest, thorough, and trustworthy mechanic I've ever been to, and I know my cars are in safe hands with Ward. His no BS thorough job saves me time and money in the long run, and I can trust everything he says. Having Ward in the same suburb I live in is awesome but even if he was 50Kms away I'd make the journey because I know he will respect and look after my pride and joy and treat it as if he owns it - this alone is a massive weight off my mind when I drop the keys off. The job is always done to an exacting standard, within budget and specified timings. If there ever is anything else required (and there always is on a classic car) Ward calls me before he starts the work with options as well as updated costs and timings. I cannot recommend Glen Eden Auto Services strongly enough, especially if you have a classic car or in fact any car which you want to take somewhere that is honest, will not rip you off and gives you peace of mind with a no-nonsense quality job. The car I bought a couple of months ago needed its first WoF under my ownership last week, and…read moreafter hearing good things, I booked it in at Auto Services on Thursday morning. They're a little hard to find, down tiny Eden Street in Newmarket, next to the Carbon Garage. My first (niggling) complaint is that when my car had issues they needed to inform me of, they didn't phone me, they texted me. I didn't hear it, and so my car was sat there for a couple of hours longer than it needed to. It failed the WoF, unfortunately, due to rust and a couple of mechanical things. After getting the rust seen to, we brought it back late Friday afternoon, and it was ready to go Saturday morning. I was very impressed with the turnaround time, as I know they had to order parts to get it done. The cost was maybe a little expensive - as it was my first WoF in NZ, I have nothing to compare it to, but Newmarket tends to be more expensive than other areas in my experience. The WoF itself was $48, the repairs a couple of hundred on top of that. I'll definitely take it back there for future WoFs, because it's within walking distance of my home, and everyone working there that I dealt with was very friendly and helpful, happy to show us the rust, explain the mechanical problems, give us price quotes on what needed to be done and get it done when we needed it.

First they had it wrong in their system so no reminder, then I had to beg for a courtesy car, and had to wait over a week for a day with a runabout. I arrive promptly at 9am and they hand over keys to a mirage which was parked wedged so tight between two other vehicles I had to flag down a rep to extract it. The loaner was dirty, inside and out. With the tank almost on empty. 4pm and noone bothered to call, so I called them... Kept on hold for 15mins while the rep finds my car... It's in the groomers, head on over (in rush hour traffic) and it should be ready when you get here. I arrive at 4.35pm The bill astounded me.... $750! For a standard service and oil change on a new vehicle with less than 11,000km!! It was $250 to service my Lexus at Toyota!!! We expressed our dissatisfaction and disappointment and the rep couldn't care less, he just took the credit card and swiped the transaction through. And then threw back the keys. Left to go find our car, it was nowhere to be seen in the top lot. We trapsed back in to ask where our vehicle is located... 15mins later while standing in the cold... Our wet, barely groomed truck arrived back. The vacuum didn't see the inside of the car. And the windows still had smears all over them. And the floor mats were worse for it all. What a complete failure of a service experience. We will never return and not be buying another Mitsubishi or anything with Andrew Simms. And I will definitely not recommend them. And look for another dealership to service the remaining scheduled services.

I always hate getting repairs done on my car, it always ends up a ain in the wallet, but I checked out Novus because of their awesome 'Show us your crack' ads that I can never get out of my head! So get it checked, no good, needs replacing. Within 5 minutes I've got a time orgaised for them to come out to my place and get the job done the next day, not bad. The service man who came to replace the windscreen was excellent, arrived on time, had the windscreen replaced in less than an hour, and even lent me his phone to call the office to pay with credit card over the phone. All in all, a much less painful experience than I expected. I definitely know who to show my crack to next time!
