Don't be a fool like me and allow these people to go anywhere near your car! Like Andrew I purchased a Grabone Voucher for a mid-year service on my car. They rang and advised the engine mount was broken and needed replacing. I was quite confused as they had done this the previous November. "Oh not that one this is the other one" they say. Giving them the benefit of the doubt I agreed for them to go ahead $659.66!!! I was txtd the car was ready to collect, As I drove off I noticed the most horrendous loud noise which if they had test driven (like they said they had on the invoice) they most certainly would of heard it. I immediately take it back "Oh we put it around the wrong way" they say. I drive off again, there was a slight improvement, but when I accelerated up a hill the noise returned - back I go again. I ask them to at least test drive the car with me so I can indicate the noise to them if they didn't know what it was. I wait for over an hour, by this time it's 4.30pm Friday before a long weekend. Again I drive off, again it's a little better but I was unable to test it properly as I was now stuck in peak hour traffic. On the weekend I was going on a family trip, the car was still noisy and it upset me so much it brought me to tears. I sent them an email to advise I will be back on the Tues and it needed to be fixed as it was now affecting my work and personal life not too mention it felt dangerous to drive. Again, it came back a little better but gradually got worse to the point it's distracting while driving. I ring the head office, asking if I could take the vehicle to Wairau branch to see what was going on. Another bad mistake, they now say .. wait for it .. the Right Hand engine mount is broken, the engine needs to come out at a nicely sum of $1384.60. Although they said they understood how I felt, they did not listen that the problem didn't exist until I took my car for a "service" . Now I'm left with a car that is worse after going in for a "service" probably sustaining more damage and I can't do a thing about it, so hopefully my experience will prevent a potential disaster for someone else. read more
