Great food - I love the Steak and pep sub - great customer service

Buzzelli's Deli has been a mainstay for my family for over a year. We probably order from Bozzelli's at least once a week, which is a great thing because it tastes delicious and saves my family from starvation when I'm too busy working to cook dinner. Our "go to" order is the pizza plus wine deal (I recommend ordering the large pizza with fresh mozzarella, meatballs, and bacon) and my daughter loves their tuna fish subs. We almost always order the cannoli, which I think is a "must" for anyone to try. I love - no adore - Bozzelli's Deli and their entire staff. We have never received our food late (yay!) and, in fact, we always joke that of all of the places we have ever ordered from, Bozzelli's has consistently been EARLY with our orders... and we've never tried something that we didn't love! The ingredients are high-quality, the product is fresh, and the service is phenomenal. I'm not sure what the history is behind this biz, but whatever they're doing is good and I hope they keep doing it read more

A hole in the wall pizza place with an exceptional chicken parm sub. It's very very good. They put both marinara and pesto on it. I want to try the pizza version of this soon. They used to have some seating but seems to be all but gone now including the soda fountain. Plan on take out from now on. I've only tried the pepperoni pizza so far but also very good. Spicy pepperoni right crust consistency. Better than Paisano's. Just a tad pricey is all. read more

After a car service appointment, I wanted pizza. I used Yelp and found that Bozzelli's was across the street. I'd never been there but the reviews were great. I ordered takeout for my bf and me: pepperoni pizza, fries, and a Rueben sandwich. The food was hot, ready on time, and absolutely DELICIOUS - even the Reuben!! I'd highly recommend this restaurant. Where do I begin, went here cause I wanted a pizza that was different from the top pizza chains. So I place my order and the guy tells me they will be ready in 10 minutes should've have know that the pizza is going to be some trash, considering the top pizza chains take about 15, 20 minutes. So I order 2 specialty pizzas from the menu and let me tell you that for the price the place should be ashamed for the product they are putting out, the pizzas I got should've been buy one for five dollars and get the second one for free. And to make this worse the lady asked if I wanted peppers and parmesan cheese and when I said yes the guy said sorry sir we don't have any at this time. Now considering that you are a restaurant that has customers that would like this extra on the pizza and you run out say alot about the type of establishment you are operating. People please do yourself a favor and learn from my experience and save your money and buy from a top chain store of you favorite pizza place, oh and do not get the lemon cream cake. ...... man I wish I could get this place zero stars. read more

I have no idea where the good reviews come from honestly. I've ordered from here about 3 times to t try different things just in case I was wrong about the flavors, I wasn't. The pizza tastes just like a digorno freezer pizza. The cheese is subpar the pepperonis are bleh the sauce is so flavorless and it made my stomach super upset. I got a chocolate cake slice because I was craving it and I regret not just going to a grocery store. It tasted like refrigerator and it was super dry and flavorless. I also got an Italian sandwich and it was very bleh, I got everything on it and the roll was flavorless, the meats just didn't taste fresh and again, I felt sick after eating it. I got a chicken pesto parm sandwich too and it wasn't awful. It tasted like a normal sandwich and was one of the better things we had. However, the after taste was atrocious. The first two bites were okay and the rest was so gross and it made us super sick. The chicken was dry, the red sauce was like the same as the pizza so flavorless and bleh. Fantastic pizza palace!! Great staff and good eats. I was actually pleasantly surprised how good it was. I got the Mic Mac pizza with bacon instead of peppers at the staffs suggestion and I was blown away! Also, $2 bottle of wine with a purchase of a large pizza. Great combo. Bozzelli's was good. Have had their pizza before, and was back again for more. Service is quick, and you can order ahead via Yelp and others. I ordered the $9 Metro Italian on gluten free bread. Surprised with the amount of ham, like a half inch worth. Bread was toasted, possibly seasoned butter. Will return! read more

This seemingly typical pizza place was a WONDERFUL surprise! When I order a margarita pizza and get FRESH chopped tomatoes, basil, and thick slices of mozzarella then I know I've found a restaurant that takes their pizza seriously! I thought I was going to get you run of the mill plain pizza with melted cheese but it was definitely the REAL thing when it comes to margarita pizza! *UPDATE* After leaving this review, I was contacted by management/ownership, who agreed with what I said about the toppings and vowed to make a change to that. And I was also told that they were contacting Uber to the change in, so you can order double toppings. Their responsiveness and how much they care, is definitely apparent, and I'm thankful to have heard from them. Looking forward to ordering from them again. Not bad...but def not mind-blowing. The 2 issues I have are: 1. Uber Eats - when ordering pizza, there is no option to order EXTRA toppings. So after ordering through Uber eats, you must call the restaurant and request double toppings. Hassle all the way around. Now your employees have to change the order/bill, if you call them in time before it's made. 2. Ordered double pepperoni twice. The first time, I thought they just didn't add the "double" pepperoni...so this 2nd time I ordered, I mentioned that, and asked that this time I actually get double pepperoni. Well, once delivered, it certainly doesn't look like double anything. So I called back to make sure I wasn't charged for an extra topping, and she said that I DID get double pepperoni. She said normally it's 14 pepperonis on a 12", and I got 28. First of all...if you cut a pizza into 8 slices...14 pepperonis isn't even 2 pepperonis per slice! Are pepperonis really THAT expensive that you give us less than 2 pieces per slice of pizza?! Come on...do better than that. Maybe 28 pepperonis should be your "regular". Because 28 pepperonis sure as hell doesn't seem like I got double/extra. Side note...scrolling down in the comments, it seems someone else had the same issue. Ordered double toppings, only to get it and see that it's pretty basic. Anyways, the pizza tasted good...def wasn't bad...just very cheap/chincy on the toppings. I didn't want pounds of meat on my pizza...but if I order double pepperoni, I shouldn't look at it and question if you got my order right. This place makes awesome pizza. My husband loves the meaty pizza. I love the white pizza. We've ordered delivery multiple times now and it has just gotten better every time. We got the BBQ chicken pizza for the first time today and it was fantastic. Today, the delivery driver from Uber Eats stored the pizzas vertically. In a bag. Like, on its side. For the entire drive to my house. As expected, the pizzas were an absolute disaster. I did not accept them. I contacted the pizza shop and they were really understanding and immediately started working on new pizzas. Uber Eats was super unhelpful and basically told me that this was my problem. Bozzelis came through and hooked us up with an amazing new batch of fantastic pizza. The manager and staff were super understanding and helpful. This is a fantastic, family owned pizza shop that will put in the extra effort to make sure you have a great experience. Plus the pizza is great! 10/10. Go here! You wont regret it. read more

I have ordered from here several times and had a great experience. However, today was a different story. Had problems ordering through my phone this time. Had to order online (PC). No comment field on the POS for special instructions. Went to pick up the order and no one asked if I needed help. I asked if my order was on the completed order rack and I was ignored. Waiting a good time past the due time and finally had to get the attention of the staff members to check for my order. My order was ready in the kitchen area on top of the oven. I was given my pizza and there was no thank you or sorry for the wait. I will not be recommending this establishment in the future. I am very dissatisfied and disappointed. read more

My wife and I have been coming to this location for quite some time now and have never written a review. It is tucked away in a little strip mall outside the Springfield Town Center. We often order ahead and take our items to go as there is not much seating inside. We have never had a meal that wasn't delicious. The chicken pesto salad is great to share as a meal for two. We usually get the salad along with a steak sandwich (which is the best I've found around DC). The pizza here is good too, but we don't order it as often. Holysh#! This place rocks. Their gluten free pizzas are awesome. So many places have gf crusts but this place is the best. I just ordered 2 - the Parmesan crust and gluten free crust (my fav!) - and this is our new go-to spot. We even ordered extra cheese and sauce, and we can definitely taste the quality and difference in this gf pizza than all others. Thanks to the Bozzelli team for this amazing gf pizza creation!! Not sure how I found this place but I'm glad I did. I had ordered a BBQ chicken pizza and an order of wings and both were fantastic. You could tell that the chicken and bacon were fresh rather than food service crumbles. I would have liked to see the pizza be a bit larger but in reality it was the proper portion size. The wings were lightly breaded and incredibly juicy. Surprising they dont offer flavors. I wouldnt expect 30 flavors like Buffalo Wild Wings but at least a medium or hot would have been nice. This order was for carry-out but it looked as if there was some seating and even alcohol.to be had inside. This place would definitely make my short list and even my top stop for pizza in Springfield. Bozzelli's is much better than Malek's but not quite Valentino's on Beauregard in Alexandria. Being from Upstate NY and where pizza is legit, I feel confident in making this claim. read more

This place has been on my Go to list for awhile. Ordered the Chicken parmigiana peso pizza and the Vegetarian pizza. Both were excellent with fresh ingredients. I prefer a thinner crust but none the less crust was still crispy and tasty. I'm very picky when it comes to pizza. I would definitely recommend there Pizza and will definitely return when a Pizza craving arises. read more

Other than the fact "double" didn't really describe the amount of pepperoni, there was nothing wrong with it, but there wasn't anything remarkable about it either. **Delivery Review Only** After being continuously frustrated with the lack of decent pizza in Springfield, I just happened to see this place pop up on the Yelp list of places that deliver in my area and had to give them a try. And I have to say, I'm so happy to have found this gem! Thanks Yelp! It's been so long since I have had pizza crust this good! Delivery takes about 45 minutes, but the pizza always arrives hot and bubbly. They also stand apart from the competition as they use real ingredients and do not skimp on toppings! Also, I always end up ordering too much, but Bozzelli's reheats really well, so I'm always happy to have lunch the next day. My favorite so far is the Meaty boy. It's gooey cheese topped in Pepperoni, Sausage, Ham, Genoa Salami & Bacon, and it's a good reminder of why I could never be a vegetarian. It is straight up delicious meaty heaven. They also have subs, salads and desserts. Eventually I will have to go check the place out in person as I have heard they have a nice assortment of wines to compliment the pie. But for now I am happy knowing if I want good pizza delivered, they have me covered. read more

Idk how this place is so popular. My wife and I just ordered from here tonight and the pizza was just awful. I ordered vegan pizza and some how my order got mixed up??!?! I tried calling three times in a row. The first two times I was hung up on and the last time the man said they do deliver, put me on hold and several minutes later with no answer I hung up. Mind you, it's 45 min before closing and maybe they don't want to deliver this close to close but they could have just said so. UPDATE Management called and apologized - said they would talk to their employees for better communication to customers - very nice and so I decided I will try again sometime. UPDATE 9/30/15 I give up! The man who was trying to take my order was very hard to communicate with. Tried two items today for take out! 1. Seasoned Fries. Just get over the contemplation and order it. Some of the best seasoned fries I've had from a pizza joint. So delicious. Perfect amount of fry, spice, airy-ness, everything. 2. Pizza. Dough is phenomenal. It's crunchy and such a great flavor. Not too doughy but not to crisp. The perfect thickness. The tomato sauce is slightly more on the acidic side (still delicious), but I'll update my post for second judgement on my next order. Thoroughly enjoyed the pepperoni and sausage pizza, reasonably priced at 15$ as well for a large! This might be my go to spot for now on! You should definitely try!!! Pretty hard to find and the scenery encompassing the store isn't much to look at, but upon entering, the atmosphere is transformed into an old school Italian pizzeria with brick walls, white and red checkered tablecloths, and popular classic music to boot. It is a true contrast to the plaza and shows just how much effort the restaurant has put into decor. The workers who took my order were polite and honest. One even double checked my receipt to ensure that I didn't overpay. The food was prepared at a satisfactory speed: not extremely fast but not particularly slow. The "original" steak, cheese, and pepperoni sandwich I ordered was very tasty! The only thing I should say is that the sandwich was very oily/greasy so make sure to grab some napkins before eating it. read more
