He suggested one type he sold, and I bought a bag. He showed my wife a box mix for Palak Paneer, which intrigued her, and he helped her locate all the ingredients to make it at home. The rice came out perfect, and the dish was the best curry meal we have ever had. The products the market offer are top quality, and the helpful staff make experimenting with exotic cuisine, a task anyone can pursue with their most helpful guidance. It's a fun, large market, with a lot to choose from in the heart of Bellingham. The Bellingham Farmers Market occurs on Saturdays, so when I visited, I made my way over there an hour after it opened, and it was already packed! People get here early for the market even in the rain! I was impressed to see the large crowds with the wet weather, but it didn't stop us, Washingtonians. It really reminded me of a community event that many of the locals spend time at on their Saturday mornings - love that. The market takes place in downtown Bellingham, and has an outdoor area, along with a large indoor space where the market staff have a booth, selling their merchandise. It's also a dog-friendly market, so expect to see a lot of furry friends. There was live music, plenty of vendors of all specialties, and was next to a seating area where people could enjoy their market eats. I had a fun time, checking out all the vendors and supporting the local economy. I would happily be back to the Bellingham Farmers Market when in the area.

Bruce's is fishing family owned and operated for four generations. The grocery section yields locally blended herbs and spices at great prices. Fruits and veg are fresh and tasty. The bakery will cause drooling. And check the freezer section for Bruce's homemade ice cream. Sea Cider from Vancouver Island is always on the shelf. Rogers Chocolates! Now with the pet and farm store opened next door, you can pick up provisions for your furry family, and wonderful plants for your balcony or yard. Lots of parking.
