It was a very uncomfortable and hostile environment when he is there. Won't go back. The customer service is too rotten when the nice ladies aren't allowed to treat customers correctly, and they try to push rotten fruit in the shop vs you picking what you want. The guy also tries to give you samples of unwashed fruit with dirty hands and a dirty knife used for cutting the fruits. Yuck!!! Parking is very limitted on the gravel next to the shop and your vehicle sometimes gets filthy and covered with dust when you or others drive in and out. Hard pass.

Be sure to check out the cool furniture made of old farm equipment. Oh, and grab a few plants for the garden too. There's also a taco truck on site, if you're hungry!

I had no idea there were so many types of blueberries. They had a little sign that listed the type of blueberry and what rows were available for picking. We grabbed a bucket and went to town. There are blueberry bushes as far as the eye can see, and you need your own container, but if you love that summer feeling of picking your own fruit, this is the place. The payment is $1.50 per pound or a dollar per pound if you get 10 lb or more. It's all on the honor system, which was really nice and refreshing to see that there's still some trust in our community. The owner came around a few times talking, laughing, and joking with us and our fellow pickers. he encouraged us to eat as many as we possibly could off the bushes so we didn't put a dent in our haul. He also provides bottled water underneath a tent when it gets too toasty out. The only thing I would caution is that it can be easy to pick an abundance of blueberries without noticing. my friend and I were there for just over an hour, and when I weighed my bag I was shocked to find out that I had done 14 lbs. My only issue now is to figure out what to do with them all! I highly recommend going as an essential part of a summer in Bellingham.

It's a fun, large market, with a lot to choose from in the heart of Bellingham. The Bellingham Farmers Market occurs on Saturdays, so when I visited, I made my way over there an hour after it opened, and it was already packed! People get here early for the market even in the rain! I was impressed to see the large crowds with the wet weather, but it didn't stop us, Washingtonians. It really reminded me of a community event that many of the locals spend time at on their Saturday mornings - love that. The market takes place in downtown Bellingham, and has an outdoor area, along with a large indoor space where the market staff have a booth, selling their merchandise. It's also a dog-friendly market, so expect to see a lot of furry friends. There was live music, plenty of vendors of all specialties, and was next to a seating area where people could enjoy their market eats. I had a fun time, checking out all the vendors and supporting the local economy. I would happily be back to the Bellingham Farmers Market when in the area.
