I'll say up front, it's rather pricey, but I'm sure deals can be found if you walk around. There are sales racks in various places throughout the store. Apps and other means of advertising may offer many of them too. This Dillard's is one of the three pillar department stores at The Avenues. Belk and J.C. Penney's are the other two. There is a wide array of superior men's and women's clothing, both casual and formal on both floors. But I did notice that female clothing and other accessories are found on both levels. I like to visit the men's section to feed my attraction to ties! There is a nice array of ties distributed across three separate tables - all name-brand. Though I didn't make any purchases on this visit, I did have a nice chat with a very courteous sales rep in this section. It was good to hear a little bit about the background of this outlet and The Avenues too. In all, it was just another nice pit stop to visit another Dillard's and keep my stroll across The Avenues going full speed ahead! There was one tie I initially wasn't sure about, but once my husband tried it on, it ended up being everyone's favorite (even earning the approval of our 16-year-old)! What stood out most was how Donn balanced listening with offering expert guidance. He never pushed; he simply helped us find the perfect look. I was greeted and helped throughout my entire shopping experience by an employee named "Steven". Señor Steven was super professional and friendly. Steven made my visit and shopping experience a wonderful one. With his help I purchased all the clothing that I liked and wanted. The store is always filled with nice merchandise of high quality and great prices. I also found three shirts from their clearance rack that were amazing deals! Indoor malls, especially ones this size, are becoming a rarity these days. The Avenues at Southside…read moreJAX has survived and seemingly endured through some tough years, such as the Covid period. Looking at the shops as I was walking through, I didn't see many stores that had closed down, though there were a few. It did lose Forever 21, one of its biggies, but it will be replaced in the not too distant future. The Avenues three pillars at this time are Belk, Dillards, and JC Penny. I came on a slower day during school time and it was a very pleasant visit. There are more than 150 shops and specialty outlets here (like two fantastic coffee kiosks!). Certainly far more than anyone can cover in a day. For me, I love the three sports shops here! Lids, Locker Room by Lids, and Palm Beach Autographs. I'm always guaranteed to make a visit in all three of these stores! Palm Beach Autographs sells sports paraphernalia you won't find at many other places in JAX. You'll find banners, pro and college football team pennants, helmets (large and small, many autographed), signs, and many other unique items for sports' enthusiasts. Lids is mainly a ball cap shop. I got my new Jaguars ball cap on this visit! It also provides stitching on ball caps - a unique feature found rarely in stores of this type. Locker Room by Lids provides all the Jacksonville Jags jerseys, ball caps, T-shirts, and other team player jerseys any fan could hope for. Lids at Town Center has closed. So now I'll make the trip here more often. Two other places I love are Le Crepes and now, Coffee Mood. Make sure you stop at these stellar coffee kiosks when you visit. I'll drift in to Van's, along with a few others. Of note, there are many similar clothing stores and plenty of places for cosmetics and clothing for women at this mall too. As for value, most of the stores here are reputable and things are priced higher than what you may get online. Of course, many shops offer deals, so even this can make visiting The Avenues worth it. Ok, so the sneakers at Foot Locker are probably a little more up to date, but I could care less about sneakers that are fresh off the press. A cool looking pair of new Nikes are a cool looking pair of Nikes. I don't care if they were put on the market yesterday or 6 months ago. So socks. Good deal on Nike socks. The employees here are super helpful and friendly. They tend to be younger and prior to entering the store, you may see them joking around with one another, but as soon as a customer walks in, they stop and all attention goes to the customer/customers.

The associate let me know it was at the back. I waited in the back by the sign, but didn't have anyone acknowledge me for roughly 10 minutes. The store is pretty small, but is pretty packed with items, but it was a little irritating that it took 10 minutes to come back and help me. Once the person scanned my order, it took about 5 minutes to grab my item from the back, unbox it, and then put it in a bag for me. The associate that helped me was friendly and nice.

Tory called Hot Topic corporate for me to ensure I would receive a refund for the 2nd dress and even gave me a coupon for waiting. While I don't necessary like shopping at this physical location, I'm glad it exists since it allows me to continue using the ship to store option (see tip) and the online selection is much larger than what's available at any Hot Topic store.
