I loved the way the shop was organized. There were clothes for the whole family from adults to children. The place was packed with clothing at every angle and from top to bottom. I really liked some of the fabrics, they were so soft. I was offered help as soon as I walked in the door, so service was good. The prices were excellent. Some of the cute tops were only $25. That is a deal. Unfortunately, I didn't find anything that I liked. But, I am sure my granddaughters are going to love this place. Welcome to the mall Uniqlo!

When we went, there were a lot of patrons, checking the store out - we found a few shirts and some bags that we purchased. There were staff on the floor, mostly making sure that the clothes were folded and kept in stock. The store was laid out as the other Ross stores are. I perused the aisles not looking for anything in particular, but maybe something that would catch my eye. They had a good assortment of toiletry, clothing, household, small furniture, and snack items at pretty reasonable prices. Like most stores now, you have to bring your reusable bag to place your purchases in, or you can buy a cheap one from them. This location was ok, but I gather, since it is a new location, a bunch of folks come here often, as the stock was not as plentiful as I had seen at other stores of recent. Checkout was hassle free and the associate was very pleasant. All in all, if this is the nearest location to you, half at it. Otherwise, and if you are able, check out other Ross locations as the inventory varies.

I arrived early and received gifts from the sales associates, which was a nice surprise. The staff were friendly, helpful, and welcoming. They have a lot of cute items. The style might not be for everyone, but I personally thought everything was adorable. They carry great brands like The North Face, Vineyard Vines, Free People, and many more. They also have a great promotion going on right now. So after the discounts, they are pretty affordable. One downside is that there is no in-store restroom. They are OPEN!!! Not sure why it still says closed, they've been open for a while (after the…read moretornado smashed in the roof). I LOVE this particular TJ Maxx. I always seem to find something in there! Not to mention it's combined with a HomeGoods - double the product and double the fun of shopping! I literally never leave this place without buying something. Latest purchase: Cat Mom hat. Only two things that caused me some issues: 1) When it reopened, it got ten times busier. Always like 200 people in the store. The grand opening was almost out of control, with insane lines. But I guess that also means that people genuinely loved the store and were excited to shop there again! 2) I finally signed up to get a TJ Maxx credit card and it didn't show up in the mail until almost a full month after I signed up. After about two or so weeks after I signed up, I just paid the remaining balance and cancelled it - I thought someone might have stolen it! Had to call their customer service and everything. Total waste of time for me. Not sure what happened but I signed up in early January and it is February 26th and I JUST got the card in the mail today!!! But at this point, I already cancelled it... :( Anyway that's why I had to give 4-stars. Other than that, I love the place.

Whenever I come here, it looks so sparkly clean that I feel that its a new store whenever I walk in. They're also connected to a Home Goods which is just as clean and has a good selection. This TJ Maxx's specialty is their jewelry line. Each individual TJ Maxx/Ross/Marshalls usually has their own specialty, one that makes each store unique and some unique enough to drive to the middle of nowhere to. I've personally bought many nice watches here because of their selection and prices. Recently for Christmas, I bought a women's Movado for literally half the price of the retail cost, it was on clearance. I saw everything from Lacoste and Fossil to Diesel, Movado and Coach. Don't expect Rolexes and Cartier here but it'll be good enough for most people. Prices ranged from $30 to $500. The staff had a southern hospitality thing going on, which I wasn't ready for considering the nastiness I was accustomed to at most TJ Maxx stores. In all, if you need a nice watch or want to be impressed by a clean TJ Maxx the one in Mt. Airy is the one you want to go to. It's pretty far (you know a store is in the middle of nowhere if you have to pass 2 Wal-Marts to get to it), but it was worth it for the awesome deal I got on a perfect watch.

This awesome Japanese store is part Asian Trader Joe's, Sephora & FAO Schwartz. The makeup aisles are crammed with a huge variety of skincare products, foundation, eyeliner, lipstick/gloss and lashes. Many items can be sampled. I didn't see any one time use (or disposable) products to try the makeup. I wouldn't want to use the same lipstick (or anything else) that everyone was using. There were several employees circulating in the area that could answer questions about any product. There were so many items. I couldn't read the labels but it was interesting seeing all of the inventory. And that was just the makeup section. The household goods area included laundry items, cleaning products, picture hangers, and sponges. There were school products (pens, Hello Kitty markers, notebooks and Snoopy products. It was fun looking at all the items. The haircare products filled two entire aisles. There were many adorable stuffed animals, doll houses, toys and games. The snacks were varied. I was interested in the packaged ice cream cones. They have Matcha tea (whole in a tin and individual packets) and other tea flavors. They only have baskets with handles and no shopping carts. The cashiers are friendly and efficient. Shopping bags come in three sizes and cost 10 cents (worth it).

I decided, and to my better judgment, to walk the aisles without a cart to lessen my chances of impulse buying and it worked! I did eyeball a few items that interested me, but resisted the urge. They had an extensive inventory of home goods, food items, and pet supplies. I did notice that in this location, the selection of furniture was not as plentiful as in the past. Could have been what was available during my visit. The staff were pleasant and provided good service. All in all, I enjoy going to HomeGoods and on my next visit will indeed grab a shopping cart!

The curb side appeal is severely lacking at this location, as there are shopping carts stacked in the front without a designated area. However, Parking is good with a huge parking lot right out front, and it is free. Prior to getting in line to start my return, I visited the aisles with the dining and hosting merchandise, and honestly, the selection was lacking. Everything was not very organized, though semi neatly stored. Also, one of the workers, who was putting away items, had a passive aggressive attitude towards me when I was attempting to walk around her with my cart. This happened twice, despite me politely saying excuse me/thank you. Perhaps, she had this attitude towards others, but I noticed it with me. Not sure if discrimination played a role, because I observed her earlier being incredibly nice towards another customer of a different race, to the point that the other customer seemed uncomfortable and awkward by the excessive attention. Additionally, the store aisles are especially narrow at this location, but the store also wasn't particularly busy during the time of day that I visited. The return process was convenient and the customer service was polite and efficient at the registers. This location overall seems convenient to make a quick stop, but I was not impressed by the selection.
