I was at my wits end with getting back in shape. Covid ruined a lot of motivation for me, and I had been paying a membership to a gym for over a year that I hardly ever used, and once they opened up, it was an absolute nightmare trying to work out with what felt like 500 other people. I drive by Boxing Inc. every day on my way to work and never gave it much thought, but I figured what could I lose? They offered a free class so if it wasn't for me, I wasn't out anything. So I made the plunge and went in on a Monday exactly 3 weeks ago and I can honestly say that it's kicked my butt harder than any heavy lifting session at the gym has. Nick worked with me a bit before the class, teaching me the basic stance and footwork, along with the basic punches, something I guarantee the majority of people have put zero thought into. Then the class started. Hitting the bag. Then some cardio and footwork. And more bag. Then on to cardio and abs with this petite girl that shows zero mercy in the exercises she chooses (which changes weekly). I couldn't keep up with her and had to take several breaks during it. Once she's done....20 minutes later (which felt like 20 hours) it's back to Nick taking charge and working on the mitts with a partner. By the end of the hour I couldn't lift my arms and my body was sore for the rest of the week, but I was hooked. I stayed behind, caught my breath and took the plunge. Right now I'm going once a week on Monday's (along with a 30 min 1:1 with Nick) and will slowly work my way up to 2-3 times a week. I'm still sore after every class (a little less each time) but it's a good sore. I have no delusions about actually getting in the ring and squaring off against someone, but I can't deny how good it makes you feel to just go hard on a heavy bag. The staff is top notch and most importantly, the other members are extremely friendly and helpful. On my first day there at least 4 people came over and talked to me, asking me if it was my first time and just giving me encouragement. You'll find all shapes, all sizes and all skill levels there doing the same thing you are. It's a good motivator to see where your progress can go! But if you're serious about it, be prepared to pay a little extra for it. It's not gonna be a $10 Planet Fitness type of membership. You gotta want it and in a way the extra cost forces me to show up and give it my all. TL:DR - Boxing Inc. is fantastic and worth every penny! read more

Visiting this place makes me feel like I truly belong. Gabe, whom I met at the Park Place mall, approached me with such warmth and encouragement. He explained the enrollment process and membership benefits in a way that was easy to understand. Gabe is incredibly knowledgeable and approachable. He patiently answers all your questions and provides detailed explanations, which I really appreciate. Before attending my first boxing class, I had a one-on-one training session with Coach Elijah, and it was extremely beneficial. His patience and support while trying something new were invaluable. His boxing class is intense but fantastic if you're looking for a challenging and sweat-inducing workout. One of the highlights of this gym is the strength conditioning classes with Coach Bea. She's a strong, inspiring, and influential figure. Her classes combine high-intensity interval training and weightlifting, resulting in a total body workout. It's always fun to attend these classes with a fantastic group of people who are supportive and encouraging. The staff, including the exceptional coaches, and the community are incredibly welcoming. Everyone here is motivating and inspiring, making it a joy to be a part of. I love coming here, and I highly recommend this place to everyone! read more

Salgado Family, Eastside Gym - I wish we had found this business years ago. They have great classes, instructors and plenty of variety for the novice to the pro to try out. My son started at the gym and then got my youngest daughter and then myself into going. We attend a minimum of 4-5 times a week doing boxing classes, Cross Fit and Grappling. The instructors are friendly, knowledgeable and push you to do your best at all times. Instructors Elijah, Ed, Bea, Shali, Adan, Julian, Jocelyn and Chelsea have all been great for the various classes my family attends. We look forward to going each day and consider all the people in our classes like a second family that all help motivate each other. The Front Desk staff is always helpful, particularly Oscar, and are willing to explain and demonstrate anything needed. Highly recommended for anyone of any age or skill level, regardless of your conditioning. The children's boxing class is especially good! There are also Women's Only classes for a beginner like my daughter to ease into. read more

The staff is encouraging, remembers your name, and the customer service here is amazing! I would say the monthly fees are totally worth it (and I've heard you don't even need the full membership to keep coming back)! In the first month of starting my friends and family noticed my sudden transformation and it hasn't stopped since! I have gone down 2 pant sizes and gained 6 lbs of muscle just by going 3 times a week! I have been gone on a trip and haven't been in the gym in 3 weeks and not only do I miss the fun and entertaining exercise, but I miss the people and the trainers. The classes are fun and you can modify absolutely any move (I have a shoulder injury and I have learned, with the help of the trainers, how to make my legs burn while everyone else is killing it with shoulder exercises). I highly recommend this gym to anyone looking for a different approach to exercise, anyone interested in getting good form, getting a good body, and working on personal improvement. Everything about this place made me feel welcome. As a beginner and not taught any form of formal self defense, I was very intimidated coming into the place. As I entered, a class was just beginning and I felt that nervousness come on as the students started "wrapping" their hands and wrists before slipping on their boxing gloves. I worked up the courage to buy a membership nonetheless and was not disappointed. I started with apprehension and anxiety so I went back the next day. I went to a boxing class in the afternoon the next day that was fun, challenging, engaging, physically demanding, exhausting, educational, energizing, and just a good work out. When everything was said and done, I felt great and learned quite few things. I have since taken a one on one session and seen the sparring they do. Each time I go back I always learn a little and realize I have more to learn while feeling amazing at the end of the work out. You owe it to yourself to check this place out. read more

This gym is the best thing that has ever happened to me. I few years ago I made the commitment to start a healthier lifestyle and I haven't looked back since. The staff, the coaches, and the atmosphere are just incredible! I enjoy all of the boxing classes taught by Manny, Nick , Wes, and Junior. Over recent years I got into CrossFit and it strongly impacted my life. I love that you can really begin at any point (fit or not), there is ALWAYS a way to scale a movement or weight and everyone is rooting for you. I joined Boxing Inc on Tucson's eastside in November 2014. My plan now includes training with Joe Howard. I have been disabled for more than 20 years. This is the first exercise program that will work around all my limitations and still make me work up to my abilities I have been strengthening my body, losing weight and developing more self-confidence . Joe & Boxing Inc are the best thing that has happened to me in a long time. Looking back if this was an option for me earlier, things probably would have been different. I love Boxing Inc! I've only been to 3 classes and just got a membership a few weeks ago and I already love it. I especially love Manny and Brittany; they're both awesome instructors and I like the way they set up their classes. This Gym is really worth going to and getting a workout from because you get to either do a class or you can just go workout by yourself. The Best part about this Gym is all of the great funny instructors that help you with your workout. When you first start out here they give you a free personal training with one of the coaches to show you all of the basics on how to throw punches and how to plant your feet. And after the P.T you get to also do a free class that puts you with the coach and some other people that want to help you know what to do. I've been going to Boxing Inc. since October of last year and it was one of the best decisions I made in 2020! Not only is it a great workout but it's also a place to grow confidence and release stress. People of all skill levels are welcomed and the coaches are great! They make time for each athlete to show/correct their skills. The best part is they're able to achieve all this while still keeping you safe. All punching bags are at a socially distanced space from others. They always spray the bags and other equipment down after every use and class. I've been going to this gym for about 3 years and I've always received good vibes since day 1. The coaches have slightly different training styles and that is a major plus because that way I can stick to a specific kind of workout or change it up any day. Either way it's always a beast workout and I feel super good after putting all my effort into it. The fitness classes give you a nice combination of cardio/HIIT and boxing/kickboxing exercises on the heavy bag and spotting mitts. It's been a long time since I've been to a gym. I'm 42 And about a hundred pounds overweight. I started going a little over a month ago. I cannot explain how good it feels to go into a gym and not be judged. The instructors and the students have been so encouraging and helpful. I'm having fun when I'm there even when I'm frustrated cuz I can't get the combination right... I just hug that heavy bag and tell it I love it and it's not going to defeat me. I've been to a few boxing gyms in Seattle Washington ( where I'm from) and the experience at Boxing Inc was honestly one of the best experiences I've had in a long time. The atmosphere was amazing and motivating. The instructor Jocelyn explained the curricular where it was motivating and doable. I understand sometimes classes that have to do with fighting can be intimidating but the class was absolutely 10/10.
