Shout out to Michaels for keeping my crafting drive going throughout the pandemic. Making…read moreart/crafts has felt like one of the few things that keeps me sane while the world seems in chaos around us. This Michaels is pretty par for the course, but the staff was super friendly in helping me find what I was looking for. If you're not a regular Michaels shopping, make sure you head to their website and snag whatever the best coupon they're offering for the day is (usually at least 40% off any one item). The selection at this store seemed better than average for a Michaels and again, the staff was stellar. There were smiles from start to finish and it felt like the store did a good job keeping things safe during COVID. Masks were worn by all and I was able to fuel my crafting addiction. I'm gonna call it a win!

I should mention at the outset to the reader that this is a review only of the frame shop at the…read moreback of the store, and that I realize I'm a fairly permissive grader, such that on occasion I find myself wishing I could give out a sixth star. I would not give this frame shop a sixth star, on price alone though, good grief it's like back when I was nine during the RWR recession and she took all of us to the apprentice hairstylists academy so they could practice on us for half price, it's unbelievably cheap hopping over from the campus area especially. On quality, my standards are not perfectionist. For example I've been meaning to write a review and yesterday was in there to get a print of 'The Mahabharata' room matted, this being one of six of my Rooming House rooms. They helped me with a publicity photo from the film, especially with two mats that had 'black center' when you slice in instead of white, very nice framing a B&W photo, and so I took that one in to get my print from AllPosters of a temple wall, a scene from the Hindu epic, and get the exact same matting (and then in a months get the last of my three decorative posters for outside the door, the movie poster in French). Anyhow, their new technician insisted on taking the AllPosters print apart to get both measurements and pricing right from the start, and it turns out that was important because they fuse the whole thing together on pressboard. Last time I tried to just have one of theirs removed and another substituted it meant finding out later we needed a new mat, and on an unusual size it took an extra month. So, I'm not like that and most of their staff aren't (quite) like that. But still I have noticed infrequent errors that they fix for free, but you can't expect people hired and trained from scratch to perform to the quality of a sole proprietor frame shop with decades of experience. They've got quality control and it works well enough, modest hassle for massive savings as I'm just about done with a job I've been working on for over two years, and have learned how to do some of this on my own. I would point out to the perfectionist though, that for you it may not be a choice between here and Michaels. Rather you may want to look more toward various professional frame shops and their reviews.

First off the building is beautiful and it's very cool just to come in here and look around and see…read morethe building's art. On top of that you get to do some shopping! This Urban Outfitters has been here since I was in college- so at least 15ish years! We were visiting campus and I was actually really surprised it was still here and insisted we stop in to look around. I love that they have a little bit of everything and that it's a slice of what's popular/on the rise at the moment. There are gifts and toys, beauty products, home goods and clothing. I've always enjoyed browsing the home decor and I wasn't disappointed on this visit. They had some very cute throw blankets and a ton of mugs. The pricing varies and you can find some great deals, but some items you'll have to weigh how much you love them versus their pricing. The staff was friendly, but standoffish- there if you had a question but not overly helpful or in your face. We asked about a blanket on display and were told they could order it for us or we could order online- since we live in California we opted to just check it out online at a later point. Overall, we had fun and I think you should stop in at the very least to check out the building.

The women's selection is on the main floor. Bright colors, most everything was a mix of stylish and comfortable. It was difficult to resist the Def Leopard hoodie. Fun pit stop to our day and plenty of staff to help. They were chatting and helpful during checkout.

They have everything you can think of. Garden, home decor, clothes, electronics, small appliances, toiletries, food, rugs, a very nice book selection, and more. I was like a kid in a candy store. I couldn't believe the pricing on some of the stuff. They are name brands at discounted prices. We mainly go there to get bird suet for only $1.29. The store is organized however there are some sections that are cluttered. So it's kinda like Aldi find, once the items are gone, that's it. We left out only spending $29.00. Most items we bought were under $3.00. I even scored a hard back air frying recipe book. They even have a rewards program which you can join for free. I'm a fan!! Definitely worth checking out.

Love the high ceilings and the decor in this place. It feels very natural and bright. Not super into the religious angle of this place but it wasn't too in your face besides the Christian music playing. The young woman helping me was seriously like a personal shopper - she needs a raise!!! I ended up buying 3 dresses and a pair of shoes for Mexico and I could not be more excited. I will note that I feel like the prices here are way too high for the quality, but since it was a special occasion I just went with it. I will definitley come back to this location. I had never really shopped at Crestview Hills before but it is SO MUCH more relaxed and nicer than Kenwood. It reminds me of Roodwood but without the traffic.
