Shout out to Michaels for keeping my crafting drive going throughout the pandemic. Making art/crafts has felt like one of the few things that keeps me sane while the world seems in chaos around us. This Michaels is pretty par for the course, but the staff was super friendly in helping me find what I was looking for. If you're not a regular Michaels shopping, make sure you head to their website and snag whatever the best coupon they're offering for the day is (usually at least 40% off any one item). The selection at this store seemed better than average for a Michaels and again, the staff was stellar. There were smiles from start to finish and it felt like the store did a good job keeping things safe during COVID. Masks were worn by all and I was able to fuel my crafting addiction. I called to ask a question about if they had an item, the employee who answered was muffling during the conversation and then when asked if they had the item the employee gave a snarky rude tone and said no and then hung up on me. I completely understand if you don't have an item but rudeness to someone asking a single question is uncalled for. read more

Came in to look for Halloween and Christmas items. There are so many 4x4s and dump bins in the aisles it is literally impossible to walk. I'd say it's even a safety hazard. read more

I can't resist checking out this store for after holiday deals. There's plenty left over even when I visited the store late in the afternoon. Almost all of the holiday items were marked down from 70-80% off which was a good deal. I bought 5 potted white poinsettias and 5 photo boxes for a total of less than $20 including tax. It's a good bargain for me. The wait to checkout does not take long since all the registers were open during the time I was there. I'm just disappointed that I cannot use any coupon on top of the sale (which I totally understand;-). The store seemed organized and well stocked, it's a favorite place for crafters. read more

Tried several store trying to find a wood frame for daughter's graduation certificate, not successful! I googled it, see this store. Never went into, it's just across street from the gym i always went to. It's a quite big store, and A lot of selection for graduation frames, i found my perfect one! So happy! Never going back to this store. I used to love it, but the prices are so high now, and I can't find anything I'm looking for. But the final straw was the installation of self-checkouts. They now have only one cashier, and there is nobody to help at the self-checkouts. No thanks. I'll order from a store other than Michael's online, or visit a different store. read more

You know, for a place like this, being someone who used Yelp for hotels, I'd not typically write a review, but I just had too! In terms of the store its self, and COVID-19 handling (which is excellent), it's your basic Michaels! However, even though it was close to closing on a very cold week night, every employee was amazing, eager to help, and actually seemed like they wanted to be there! It's a chain craft store, so there's really nothing special about what it has or its pricing. I usually go to Michael's for baking items (pastry bag tips, cute cupcake liners, etc.), knitting stuff (yarn, needles, accessories, etc.), and the occasional impulse buy ($1 notepads, higher-end felt-tip pens, etc.). What I appreciate about this Michael's store is that they recently changed the layout of their registers. Originally it was pretty chaotic, but now they have a proper queue as well as an electronic announcement that sounds when a specific register is open. They still kind of shove all the clearance items in your face as you walk to the registers, but I like that it's much more organized. I would like for them to also make it not necessary to walk through the aforementioned queue if you just want to exit the place (without buying anything). Slightly annoying. read more

Michaels is a great option for non-specialized hobby supplies. They also carry a whole line of Martha Stewart scrapbooking supplies which is awesome. This location in particular is always well-stocked and is constantly running sales on various items. They have a relatively small clearance section (it's located at the back, near the knitting supplies). The custom framing is affordable and cheaper than Hobby Lobby... but you have less frames to pick from than Hobby Lobby offers. Also, if you visit, be sure to download the Michaels app (it's definitely available for iPhone...not sure about Droids) because there are coupons available on there that can be scanned at the register. During holiday seasons they usually toss in a few gems like 50% off one item (instead of the normal 40%) or 20% off your entire purchase (a rare coupon to get at Michaels!). read more

Looking for some good stocking stuffers? Michael's is a great place to go. They have bins of cute items that are inexpensive. They have a ton of crafts I can do with my child on cold or rainy days. Teachers receive a very good discount. I recall15%. I purchased many items for my wedding here - lot of DIY stuff. They have craft classes and birthday parties for kids. Even if you don't knit or aren't particularly crafty, I still think Michael's is a good place to check out for some unique items to give as gifts. read more

I buy crafts for my daughter and fake flowers. Their flowers are half as much money as hobby lobby. Good prices.
