BE CAREFUL! They "Lose Packages" If you don't demand a receipt from them, your package will go missing. I didn't get a receipt and my package wasn't scanned correctly by them. 3 weeks went by and it never showed up to the destination and the tracking number was never activated because it never left their store. They looked through their documents but mysteriously was no tracking number for that day. Viewing their records my tracking number was the only 1 missing from that day. They still never found it and I lost $500 worth of valuables. It was a horrible experience. I wish I went to an actual shipping source store and not this access point. I lost irreplaceable valuables by shipping with this access point. My experience has been better going to an actual Shipping location, not an access point like this where you will be better insured in case something does happen. You are covered if damage or theft happens because other shipping sources like drugstores- Walgreens accept FEDEX drop offs and CVS accepts UPS drop and give text confirmation! If this place "loses" a package. You won't ever see it again and they will blame YOU. read more

I recently used the shipping services at Box It in League City to mail some items to my family in Louisiana, as well as a fragile gift to a friend in Orlando, Florida. Box It is a local shipping store that has recently come under new ownership! From the moment I arrived, the customer service from the new owners, Jon and Debbie, and the warmth that I was greeted with, was exceptional! Box It is now veteran-owned, with Jon being a retired veteran himself, and they even offer a military discount which I thought was really nice. Not only is the customer service superb under the new owners, but they have completely renovated the entire store which was quite refreshing! The store was very clean, modern and organized, with all of the shipping materials available to package absolutely anything! As soon as I approached the counter with my packages, I was met with Debbie who was very knowledgable about what my options were with different service providers. At Box It, you are able to ship with USPS, FedEX, DHL, and UPS. While I was there, another customer was mailing three very large and delicate items to another country. Jon was meticulously packing their items with care, and ensuring that the items would make it to their destination in one piece, along with all of the proper paperwork needed. It was quite impressive! With my items, Debbie was able to walk me through the different shipping options that were available to me, along with arrival dates and the prices to go along with those dates. It took me a while to decide what route I wanted to take, but Debbie was very patient, and ensured that I had all of the information that I needed to make an informed decision. Another great perk was that they packed all of my items for me. I was worried about how I was going to get my items packaged properly because they were breakable, but they did all the work for me, with all of the correct materials! Everything was very thorough and there were no hidden costs at checkout. The pricing was transparent and honest from the beginning of the transaction. In conclusion, I am very satisfied with my experience at Box It. Jon and Debbie wholeheartedly care about their business and the people who walk through that door. They display honesty, clear communication, and top notch customer service. Whether your are just mailing an envelope, or shipping something huge to another country, I cannot recommend Box It enough. I might add, besides mailing services, Box It also offers notary services, faxing, passport photos, and mailbox rentals. They are literally a one stop shop! It was so refreshing to do business with Jon & Debbie, and I am certain this will be my go-to for all of my future shipping needs. There are aspects of Box It that deserve 5-stars. Unfortunately, there are also aspects that deserve 1-star so I am forced to give it the average of 3-stars. The Good: Location - Box It is located in the old Kroger strip center at I-45 and FM 518. It is fairly convenient get to and parking is easy. Parking has gotten easier since Kroger moved out and the parking lot is not near as crowded. I have a corporate Fed-Ex account number so it is a great place for me to drop my packages off for pick-up without having to pay Box It for shipping. The owner does get a small fee from Fed-Ex for being a drop off location so don't think for a second that he is doing this for my convenience. It is also a convenient place to buy stamps for snail mail when I don't want to wait in line at the USPS. You will pay a little more for stamps but it isn't too much higher so I find that it is worth it. The Bad: I fully understand that I small businesses owner needs to make a profit to stay in business but I have found Box It to be somewhat pricey when it comes to shipping. If you are a consumer who does not ship things often, you may find yourself on the short end of the stick when it comes to the pricing he quotes you. Make sure you are asking for all of your options when you come in. Be prepared to walk away and take your business elsewhere. The Ugly: My daughter needed to ship a simple computer CD from League City (77573) to Deer Park (77536). He had the audacity to rip her off and charge her $20 to do this. Unfortunately, she learned the hard way how people can take advantage of you if you let them or are an uninformed consumer. She was extremely MAD after she talked to me and realized the owner had ripped her off. Since this experience, she hasn't been back and I have taken by non-corporate shipping to another shipping place. Like I said above, I understand a business needs to make a profit but no one likes getting ripped off in the process and we feel that we were. Since I have personally experienced both positive and negative, I averaged my review to 3-stars. I hope you experience more of the Good and not the Bad or Ugly. read more

Way overpriced and the guy is as rude as can be. I went to box and ship a fishing reel. The packaging was $2-$3(no big deal) but he wanted $18 for the slowest mail service. The Cheapest he could send a fishing reel was $18! Drove down the street to the post office and paid $7.60. read more

The owner, Dan's calm, kind and helpful demeanor reassured me that all would be accomplished as hoped. Went in to drop off a package that I had ordered and intended to return. Fed ex delivered it with all paperwork required attached. Including the hazmat paperwork for the battery that came with the product. Guy working there told me FedEx would not accept and take it somewhere else. I am livid right now. My dad mailed me my laptop and a very important document from Houston to Austin. The amount my dad was charged was unbelievable. Somehow the package didn't even get sent out until two days letter. And it's been a week and my document still hasn't arrived. They were not up front with pricing to package and ship my item. Charged me $38.59 to pack and ship an item from League City, TX 77573 to Waco, TX 76705 UPS Ground that MAY have cost me $15-$25 to pack and ship with the USPS. This is price gouging around the holidays at it's finest! read more

If there was a way to do a minus, that would be what I would give this business. I came in their office this morning with a 34 pound box and a preprinted prepaid label. A very rude man told me that the label needed to be taped on the box and I told him that I expected them to put it in a Fedex envelope as that is what was always done for me at Fedex before. He told me that he would tape it on the box for $1.00 and I asked him if he was serious and he told me that he was. I told him Merry Christmas and that I would be driving four miles to a real Fedex office on Bay Area BLVD. I did and they were very accommodating and put the label in a Fedex envelope and printed out a receipt with a tracking number, should have gone there in the first place. read more

I only went to this place because it is a convenient location. I think charging to tape up a small box is the stupidest thing that I have ever heard. Would have walked out and gone to the place that I usually take my shipments, where they have never charged me for tape, but I had to get to work. Will never take my drop offs here again! read more
