Box Appliance is the absolute best and only way to go for Subzero, Wolf, Viking, etc. They are responsive, always go the extra mile and are authorized service people so they know what they're doing and they know about the recalls, etc. They have sometimes fixed my Subzero problems for free because of recalls or upgrades. Unfortunately, they don't handle Bosch, but when I called them to ask they suggested how to handle--which resulted in Bosch fixing my dishwasher for free. I'd never consider calling anyone else for my subzero or any other brand they service. read more

I found Box Appliance as I searched for an authorized Subzero service company to address a service light in my refrigerator. The service men were professional albeit last minute I was informed my service wound occur later in the day rather than the 1st stop which was annoying and inconvenient. They needed to reschedule a return bc a part needed to be ordered to complete the service. My 2nd service date was pretty far out. I called and requested an earlier date to compensate for the delayed 1st appointment and they accommodated me. Nice!! Same technician returned today to complete the job. High caliber professional technician. The office kept me informed of his arrival up to the last 45 min heads-up. Excellent service. Box Appliance has always had my back and their technician Phil is the greatest. I moved into a new home and the ice maker leaked. Phil fixed the ice maker and in the process realized there was a problem with the freezer insulation. He and Box took care of the paper work and reporting to Sub Zero and the next thing I knew I had a new unit. Phil comes out once a year to service our fridge and to keep it running in tip top shape. i trust him completely. He is professional and very pleasant And at this point feels like an old friend. Many issues. Books about 2 weeks out. No great if fridge is broken. The assign you service window day before with no customer input. The fixed issue and within an hour of them leaving stopped working. I called and asked them to return. They said best they could do was as someone to come by following week. They did book me another appointment in 2 weeks. So now 4 weeks with fridge not working. I also asked for a manager or owner to call me. That was 4 days ago and no one has reached out. I had a great experience w/ Box Appliance. They were recommended by Ferguson, where we purchased our Subzero refrigerators. Our technician, Eric, was on time, respectful (put booties on as to not dirty our floors), explained the problem in layman's terms, and fixed the unit efficiently. He was friendly and was good at explaining everything to me, from pricing to the issues with the ice maker and the repair required. There were no disappointments during the whole process. Setting an appointment was easy,there was good messaging up to the appointment and the repair went really well! Of course, the real test will be if the ice maker continues to function as it should! Called for service on my brand new subzero wine refrigerator, 2 weeks to get a technician to take a look. After examining the wine refrigerator the technician determined that a part had failed. Mind you this refrigerator that took 19 months to have delivered worked for 30 days. After receiving the part a follow install of part was scheduled, another 2 week wait. Two technicians arrived. And the new part was in fact not the only failed part, the compressor failed as well. Subzero had the part delivered to box in three days, and the install appoint will be another two weeks. Six weeks to get a wine refrigerator repaired. Staff and technicians were all nice, professional and sympathetic. But there is no solution. You maybe better off with a common wine refrigerator. We have a very expensive ornament in our kitchen. Once they have your money, you are at their mercy. read more

I have a wolf ventilation hood that needed to change blower after only 3+ years. I communicated that with the customer care rep from Box appliance and they asked for the details of the blower to get the right model. I was very happy to learn that when the technician - Brian showed up, he had the right parts with him. Brian initially thought he needed a 2nd hand to get the job done, and it was indeed hard for one person to change the blowers. Later he decided to give a try and was successful ! I am so grateful to him !! Throughout the process, Box appliance has communicated well about the whereabout of the technician and gave very good heads-up. For those of you who wanted to use their service, please make sure to do some homework yourself before asking the technician to come over, because the per visit fee is 185 USD. It is better to do some diagnose yourself, if you can, to save them a trip and better utilize their precious time. read more

I had Box Appliance out to service a new Sub zero refrigerator. The technician was able to diagnose the problem which most likely was a result of the delivery installation process. Jon., the technician, was very knowledgeable and was able to communicate the features that the sales room and installers from Pirch were unable to do. I have used Box over the years. They kept my 36 year old sub-zero working . I am trusting I will get many years out of this new one. My refrigerator was leaking water from the inside out. I called Box App and we quickly set up a service date and time. Robby the service guy showed up during the allotted time. He went right to work and fixed the problem, cleaned up the area afterwards. He noticed a couple of burned out bulbs. He told me the price and he had one in his truck which he replaced and showed me how to order and replace the next one. He was guy pleasant and knowable guy. Would definitely recommend. read more

We had a routine service in Santa Barbara for our Sub-Zero refrigerator recently. Michael was on-time, professional and tidy. He changed filters, cleaned the coils, and checked all seals. He cleaned the surface after doing the work. Some of this maintenance could be done by an attentive homeowner (especially a person at least 6 ft. tall) , but it's nice to have a professional who thinks to troubleshoot and make recommendations. On Friday, 10/6/23 Box Appliance sent the same rep back to my home to repair our Cove dishwasher for the third time in less than a 5 week period. The rep arrived to our home at 6:52 pm on a Friday. The only thing we want at that time of the evening on a Friday from a repair tech is proper repair service. When a service tech comes to my home I am not interested in making friends I want my appliance repaired. The rep talks more than he works, and my dishwasher still does not work. I would not recommend the COVE dishwasher to anyone, and I would recommend Box Appliance even less. Box Appliance has subpar repair techs and customer service. I question Subzero for partnering with such a company to represent them in service and repair. read more

They came to fix a minor issue of excessive frost with our freezer. They were unable to fix it without a part, which is understandable. The next day I noticed that the freezer did not work at all. I presume that some connection became undone. I called to see if they would come back to at least get it working but they refused until the next day, when things would be melted. Said they couldn't contact the technician. Really? No phone or radio. This is a problem that they caused. read more
