We were experiencing frost in our Sub Zero refrigerator. Scheduling the service was very easy. The technician immediately diagnosed the problem as the freezer drawer not pulling out completely which caused the seal to have a very small gap (too small for us to notice). He showed us how to pull out the drawer with slight pressure several times, which realigned the drawer. This fixed the problem. The tech was very careful - put on booties, and protected the floor in front of the refrigerator. Will definitely call them again if we have problems with any of our appliances. read more

I reached out to them on August 8, 2023 for a warranty matter related to a speed oven that has never been used. A few days earlier I opened a ticket with Wolf. Wolf promised me a callback from Box, which never happened I clearly stated what the issue is and which part is needed. The earliest time for a visit was two weeks (!). The repairman arrived, but without the part. The person coming to the house was excellent (5 stars) and very knowledgeable. Would highly recommend him. I then waited several days for another appointment for the actual installation of the faulty part. To no avail. I had to call again and earliest availability "was another two weeks". Box Appliance appears to be seriously understaffed, which is not acceptable and should give Wolf/Subzero some pause in to whom the contract the service/repair of appliances too. From our initial request to the actual repair of the unit it will now take 1 month (1). we are renting the newly built apartment out and will now need to lower the rent, because the place won't have an oven... I called to request a service person come to look at my refrigerator. Scheduled an appointment and they called the day of letting me know that the technician called in sick. Rescheduled the appointment for the week after and they again called me 5 minutes before the service person was supposed to arrive letting me know the person called in sick!!! They were supposed to reschedule another technician to come over and assess the issue with my appliance. They never called back nor set someone over!!! We're on our second Wolf cooktop and when we were considering wall ovens, our salesperson had high praise for both Wolf and Box, convincing us to go with Wolf. As it turns out, we needed service on our cooktop and our salesperson was right---Box was excellent from the first phone call through the follow up. Everyone there is professional, courteous and helpful. Our service tech, Andrew, was prompt, neat, friendly, efficient and very informative. I had a pretty disappointing experience with the former Wolf service company (Wilshire), so I'm quite pleased. You don't really think about service when buying a new appliance, but you'll probably need it one day. We're grateful Box covers Wolf in the L.A. area. I have been working with Box Appliance since October 2023 to repair my Wolf oven. They are very busy, short staffed and appointments take months to secure. The technician diagnosed the problem in the first visit but did not have the parts to do the repair. The second visit (a month later) was supposed to involve removing the oven and installing the replacement parts. Instead the Box Appliance technician expressed concerns that the stacked ovens were not properly installed and that I needed to have a certified installer come and do a proper installation before Box Appliances would repair the lower oven. I scheduled an appointment with a certified installer and their inspection concluded that the stacked ovens were properly installed and posed no risk. Box Appliances was re-scheduled for this week after another long scheduling backlog. Unfortunately, Box Appliances sent a text saying that due to unforeseen circumstances, they were cancelling my appointment for today. Going on 6 months without a functioning oven. My advice is, only work with Box Appliances if you have a Plan B. Their reliability is inexcusable. read more

I called Box Appliance, whom I used in the past, and told them my dilemma. I was amazed that they were so understanding and immediately made me an emergency appointment for the next day. My Sub-Zero freezer's refrigerant leaked out while I was having my kitchen remodeled. Imagine my dismay when we installed it the day before Thanksgiving and the freezer was at seventy degrees. I called Box Appliance, knowing it was a holiday weekend. They sent someone out to look at it Monday morning. After ordering parts, the two technicians came back and fixed everything a week and a half later. They were polite, professional, considerate of my floor, and punctual.
