Steaks were fantastic. Place was packed. We sat at the bar and watched the friendly bar maid run rampant. Cold drinks great food.

Two different sides of the restaurant with two completely different vibes. We sat on the sports bar…read moreside. Not very busy. Food came out quick. Little disappointing they no longer have pizza available. Instead of updating the menu they just placed a sticker over top of the section. My daughter got mozzarella sticks. She thought they were good. They were the short fat ones. We prefer the long skinny ones. I know that may sound weird but usually if we know this ahead of time this will determine if she will order them or not. She did enjoy her kids chicken tender meal. My other daughter thought the grilled cheese was good too. Fries were beer battered which were a plus! My husband got the Chicken sandwich said it was delicious and wished it was bigger. The bun was a little disappointing. Looked and tasted like a Walmart bun. My Philly cheesesteak was decent but it tasted like Steak- Umms. My SIL enjoyed her wrap and said the onion rings were good as well.

I don't know how anyone gives this place more than 1 star. We've tried this place numerous times…read moreand haven't learned our lesson apparently. Service is ALWAYS horrible. You have to wait to be seated, we stood there ten minutes for them to just say sit where ever you like. We sit down and the girl takes our drink order and tells us someone will take our food order soon. Apparently their definition of soon and mine differ. It was 20 plus minutes. They did come but trying to pawn tickets off on us though while we were waiting for our server. Maybe if you just want to sit in the bar and drink it's a good spot, but I wouldn't recommend going for dinner.

On my continuing drive-about breakfast adventures, I stumbled into Edison Depot -- part restaurant,…read morepart coffee shop, part ice cream parlor, and 100% small-town charm. First impression? The place was incredibly clean -- the kind of clean where you almost hesitate to set down your coffee mug because you don't want to mess up the shine. Inside, the locals were holding court: talking crops, local happenings, and laughing like this was their morning news network. It felt less like eavesdropping and more like I'd been drafted into the Edison Breakfast Club. I went with the Country Fried Steak and scrambled eggs (the waitress must've sensed I needed backup protein). The food was solid, classic diner fare -- hearty enough to fuel a day of farming, driving, or just another round of local gossip. The real MVP? The service. My waitress treated coffee refills like an Olympic relay -- the bottom of my cup never once saw daylight. For the tribe, I ordered a breakfast bowl, a half order of biscuits and gravy, some bacon, and even oatmeal to keep things balanced. The portions were generous, and it all packed up neatly for the road. Pro Tip: Don't just come hungry, come curious. Sit back, sip your coffee, and you'll leave knowing more about Edison crops than you ever planned. Verdict: Edison Depot is the kind of place where breakfast isn't just a meal -- it's a community event with eggs, gravy, and unlimited coffee on the side.

This is just a diner so I am rating it as such. Personally I have lower expectations for little…read morediners compared to normal restaurants. It's a unique place with an old train car built into the structure. Be careful on the steps. Tjey don't have anything vegan and not much is vegetarian, but my parents enjoy the burgers and say it's much better than fast food. I had a grilled cheese with fries. It was good, if a little basic, but it was also really cheap. Could make it at home, but nice to eat out sometimes. Much cheaper than grilled cheese at a food truck. The burgers are cheaper than fast food so it is better to go here as opposed to a fast food chain. They also have an ice cream parlor, but I haven't tried that yet. Over it's pretty good.

Got a 4 top table and sat there, no waiting, perfect. Over comes what could be the BEST waitress we ever had. Mandy! Cheerful, helpful and a real pleasure to talk to, you would have thought we we her only table, didn't feel rushed, when we asked about menu items, explained perfectly and in detail. Had appetizers, and a sandwich there, meat candy was our app. and did not disappoint, excellent job ! My wife had the alfredo, so good. I have the "sloppy" pulled pork. I have mad a lot of BBQ in my time, this ranked right up there! Really tasty, dressed nicely, and just delicious. All this was made possible by our waitress Mandy, without her personality, and suggestion, this was just going to be a good dinner, but with her help, this was a great dinner and experience. Food was done perfectly, nice job South Street Grille!

Stopped in 6 o'clock on a Thursday night. (They do not take reservations for parties of less than…read moreeight) and we had a 45 minute wait. French fries are frozen with a little bit of coating on them. (I prefer hand cut fries) The menu is varied so you should be able to find something. There seems to be an awful lot of spicy dishes on the menu. So, my friend ordered the Caesar salad and it comes with cavatappi pasta, which we found interesting on a Caesar salad, but she said it was good. Her husband ordered the glazed salmon, a baked potato with cheese and bacon, a bowl of chili with cheese and bacon as his appetizer, and he was surprised that the spice was as high on the glaze rather than sweet, but he still enjoyed it. My husband had the fish and chips and he said they were good. I had the crispy spicy chicken salad, and I took the ginger dressing on the waitresses' advice. It was good, but the chicken wasn't hot. It was room temperature!! I would try something else if I return. Reason for 4 stars-there seem to be a lot of empty tables and a very long wait time as there were lots of waiters and waitresses. Three of us drank ice water one had a sweet tea. With tip and the mandatory convenience fee for use of a credit card .... dinner was slightly over $100 for four of us.
