Stopped for first and last visit to this restaurant. Had breakfast after having procedure done at local hospital. Expensive and my husband's crepes were not traditional crepes, more like rolled up pancakes and one was burnt to a crisp. Waitress shouldn't have even served them, other on was also burnt. Normally take any leftovers to have again but fed these to brother's pig. Waitress didn't come back for long time and never asked if needed anything or if food was good. read more

I've had corned beef hash at restaurants across the fruited plain and this may be the best ever. Big chunks of tender, tasty corned beef prepared in house, plenty of potatoes and onions. Traveling through from Michigan with my daughter and decided to stop for breakfast. Knew we'd love this place when we walked in as it remained us of a restaurant back home. Small town restaurant filled with local farmers having their morning coffee. The service was excellent and the Corned beef hash was home made with real corned beef. This place is the definition of a "greasy spoon", and I mean that in a very positive way. I was riding through the area on Saturday and stopped for an early lunch. It had the best Yelp rating of any local spot, so in I went. The Corner Inn is small, tight, and was very crowded. I ended up sharing a six-seat table with two other guys, and everyone acted like this was normal. They were nice fellows, so a positive in my book. This is a breakfast place, so when in Rome... I went for a basic " big man" breakfast with eggs, bacon, hash browns, and toast. Super basic, and perfect. Fancy? Nope. Super clean? Kind of nope too, but not awful. Good food and friendly staff? On our way from Green Springs to the Columbus airport, we had time to stop for breakfast. I like picking small local restaurants and this one fit the bill. When you pull up and see lots of cars in front in the restaurant, you know you've hit a good spot. The service was quick and friendly, the breakfast was piping hot. My brother's western omelette was chocked full of goodies. Our country fried steak was average sounds great. Funny, the only thing really disappointing was the sourdough toast. The pieces were abnormally small lacking butter. I'm sure we could've asked and that would've been remedied. Overall, a good breakfast for the price and definitely worth trying. read more

Cute little old timey restaurant. The food was filling and good. Waitress Kaylee was really friendly, full of smiles, and very helpful. She suggested the Roast Beef Manhattan. Which I had. I also ordered the breaded mushrooms. Both were very good. The gravy was a little salty but good. I had a cup of tea as well. The bill was around $16 . The restaurant was very clean. My suggestion would be that they put a larger sign out front so it's easier to find. I enjoyed myself and will be back. If you happen to be Yelping on your phone from one of the many highways that go through this small town and The Corner Inn is open, get off on the nearest exit (they all lead downtown) and get to this restaurant! It is well loved by travelers and locals. As you've probably already figured out, it's on "the Corner" of Sandusky and Walker streets. There is plenty of angled on-street parking. The first thing you'll discover is hometown friendly service. Don't be afraid to ask questions. The next thing you'll discover is a varied menu. I've thought and thought about what to recommend but that's hard as everything I've had there is delicious. If I had to pick, the corned beef hash is in-house made and outstanding (note it can run out as it's a very popular dish) and the pulled pork is excellent. There is a hot lunch buffet every Sunday and absolutely everything on it is delicious. So again, to the hangry Yelper reading this who only knows Upper Sandusky as where you turn off the 4 lane to get to "the lake." Come into this small town and get some excellent home-town cooking. We've been making our way around the spouse's hometown while visiting the in-laws, and stopped at the Corner Inn for an early-ish lunch. It's a cute spot, yes on the corner, and is a typical diner - a little dim, but clean and with friendly folks manning the dining room and grill. The menu is surprisingly large for a small place, and offering things like fried mushrooms. I did order those, along with a grilled ham and cheese - what else do you order for lunch a diner? The fried mushrooms were fresh-battered and my sandwich was a mom-wich: ham pre-fried, with plenty of American cheese and lots of butter, crispy-fried and comforting like whoa. (Should have gotten tomato soup, but alas.) It's a little off the freeway, right in Upper Sandusky, but Corner Inn beats Bob Evans any day. read more

Stopped into this nice little eatery on the corner of a nice Main Street area. They seem to be best known for their breakfasts and there appeared to be many regulars as people were called by their names as they cashed out following their meals. We had the Roast Beef Manhattan which reminded me of my youth. It's more like pot roast meat rather than sliced roast beef like my mom used to make, but served between white bread and served with mashed potatoes and then smothered with a tasty beef gravy. Went to this restaurant twice while in the area for work. First time got the smothered chicken which turned out to be nothing special. However, next time got the corned beef hash and potatoes. Portion size was great and tasted much better than the chicken. I had breakfast around 7:30 AM on 20 June. I had decided to get off US 30 to see if I could locate a mom-and-pop sort of place in Upper Sandusky. Near the court house, I found the Corner Inn. I sat the counter and had very fast, friendly service; the waitress could tell I wasn't from around there, but her attitude was the opposite of hostile -- she asked where I was from and where I was going and commented about the rainy weather of recent. My order was the chicken fried steak, which was spot on and very inexpensive for the amount of food received. Highly recommended, and I plan to make it part of my routine to stop there when passing through. read more
