Whether for my family or my employees this is such a great spot for a resort style service where you can be spoiled and serviced as if you were on vacation- but it's right in your backyard! If I could leave zero stars I would . We like coming here because of the arcade and bowling entertainment is hard to find here in Oxnard . I've hesitated on updating my review here for a while . I mean it's a good time if you ignore their lack of cleanliness in the restroom (which I tried addressing the front desk about and they responded with , "oh ok we'll get that looked at " and then proceed to go in and put up 2 more wet floor cautions instead . I had to use the restroom so bad and it seemed like they weren't going to do anything about there's any time soon so I had to walk across the way to the public restroom and thankfully it was clean in there . read more

Arrived on a Thursday around 8:30pm. They have full security at the door which is comforting, and offer unlimited bowling for a flat price on Thursdays. I believe it was around $37 total for two of us to bowl as long as we wanted. We were assigned to a lane with a dirty table, but the server was over pretty quickly to clean the table. It's definitely and elevated bowling experience, being able to be served directly at your lane. However, I wish there was some sort of solution for bowling and eating finger food. Maybe they should provide wet wipes or hand sanitizer? Went to wash my hands before eating but so long as I was bowling in between bites it was not my favorite. The menu doesn't have prices for the drinks (boo!). We ordered Boozy Blue Long Island, and Old School Mule, a Stella, and a Buffalo Chicken Pizza. All were pretty good. read more

I went to Bowlero Oxnard last night with friends, and unfortunately had a really disappointing experience. Our group needed an ADA accessible end lane and we were told none were available. But when we arrived there were open end lanes, and when we left two hours later there were 3 still open. That was frustrating and really concerning from an accessibility standpoint. We ordered food and drinks using the QR code on the menu and waited about 40 minutes before having to flag down a server. The drinks were still wrong, and we later learned the QR orders go to the bar, but the bar cannot help, (we went to the bar to ask for the drinks we ordered and were told to go back to the lanes and flag the waitress), and the servers do not even see the tickets from QR code orders. The party next to us waited two hours for their drinks. Also, there are no soda refills. The lanes were so dark you could not even see the arrows, which made bowling harder than it needed to be. I tried to speak with the manager, but after saying he would come back, he never did. The server had to go find him. While they eventually comped our sodas, the overall customer service from the front desk to the bar was honestly terrible. The only bright spot was our waitress, who was kind and tried to help. I will not be returning. This location really needs to address accessibility, communication, and service issues. read more

Eight of us went to Bowlero for a birthday celebration the other night. Our server, Kitty, was AMAZING! She kept our group of senior women very happy throughout the evening. Kitty handled special requests with great care and professionalism. She was friendly and attentive. I have Celiac disease, and despite the fact that everything on Bowlero's menu contains gluten, Kitty listened carefully to my concerns and informed the chef, who was able to take special precautions and create a gluten-free meal for me that was both safe and delicious. The best thing about this place is the food the bbq chicken and cotton candy lemonade were good. We went on New Year's Day so we kind of expected it to be busy but the customer service was definitely lacking. If you sit at a table to order food because your lane isn't ready you have to scan a QR code to get food. Pretty expensive you have to pay per game and also for the shoes. Went to Bowlero with a couple of friends last night for the first time We bowled 2 games. The prices are fair each game you play is 10.99 and you pay for your shoes which are 5.99. Total was around 27 bucks. We just had drinks there no food and the drinks were good. For a Saturday it wasn't very busy which was a good thing. Went for the first time for a birthday party. The service was pleasant and the food (pizza, cheese sticks, chicken tenders and fries) was decent. Place was very clean and had a decent small selection of games. Only negatives is that there is not a good amount of bowing balls for children. We were forced to use one ball per lane for the kids. This caused the games to go slow and encouraged the small kids to pick up heavier balls. For a kids party this should have been avoided. Also, I was charged for "extra ranch" when I ordered the cheese sticks. Not sure why as only one ranch came with the sticks and I didn't ask for extra. Whatever it is .75 cents but should be a warning to check you receipt before paying. I would return here but I wouldn't go out of my way to do so. read more

The events coordinator was super helpful and by the time we showed up, we had an area set up with our business name welcoming us, ready for fun. The Bowlero team did a great job welcoming us, introducing themselves and setting up food (we did a fajitas/tacos thing) as well as getting us beer, wine and non-alcoholic drinks all evening. We were there for about 2.5 hours and managed to eat, drink, laugh and bowl 3-4 games! What a great experience we had at Bowlero. I bought the Groupon for 4. My first impressions were WOW!!! WOW!! This place is ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS on the inside!! Let's talk about the arcade. There is an amazing amount of video games, claw games to win toys, sports type games, and ride on racing games. I saw so many happy happy faces. I absolutely love this part. The bowling looked amazing. There is something so fresh and modern and inviting about this place. I treated my cousin & his girlfriend to join us. He is a very experienced bowler. She had never been bowling. These are not your average bowling pins. They do not reset like normal bowling pins do. They are made of a composite material that is lighter than normal bowling pins. They reset via string or cord. We had issues with bowling. It just felt so different than traditional bowling. It was more difficult to make the pins fall. I believe this is due to their weight. The pins seem fragile. When my cousin bowled, he hit the bowling pin. The game wouldn't reset properly. We called for help. We got help quickly. The next time we needed help was because a bowling pin broke/exploded. We called for help again. The man that helped us was very kind and explained what had happened. We waited a bit and he switched our game to the next lane. He added on the minutes that were lost as we had prepaid for 2 hours. We ordered soft drinks. They were served quickly and we were told there was free refills! There was about 4 food/drink service people standing nearby. I walked up to them each time I wanted a refill. When the young lady set down my drink and noticed the others were empty, she simply walked away. This happened 2 more times over 2 hours. We were disappointed in the service. Why just stand together and talk?? Why not check in on the customers? We would have left an epic tip instead of a small one. Although, I won't be returning for bowling nor recommending this place for bowling, I do recommend Bowlero for their arcade. read more

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience at this Bowlero was disappointing--mostly due to the manager on duty,  Mark. The Summer Bowling pass started yesterday. There was only one employee at the register and long lines. The computer was understandably slow (nobody's fault), but Mark was seen sitting and not assisting until he was called over by the flustered employee at the front. I overheard him then try to help patrons and he was rude and short with them. He seemed disorganized and made little effort to address the chaos. We are used to having a wonderful previous manager (Kevin) who was nice and customer centric. Customer service with Mark clearly is not a priority. For a place that markets itself as a fun and family-friendly venue, the lack of professionalism and accountability from management really ruined the experience. Additionally, walking around the arcade, it was evident the place had not been vacuumed in quite a while. There was also a sticky spill near the lanes (a safety hazard) that was not addressed, and we were one of the first bowlers of the day! Another frustrating aspect is that they open at 4pm, leaving little to use the Summer Bowling Pass. Last year they opened up at 12pm, which was a big reason why we bought it again this year, even at the large price increase.   All the negatives could be overlooked if it wasn't for Manager Mark asserting his authority in ways that can feel belittling to the customers. A manager should be more inclusive and have more respectful decision-making. It's disappointing when leadership forgets that customer service should be rooted in respect and problem-solving, not control or ego. I was here Friday night and they have a deal going on for unlimited bowling after 10pm on Fridays for about $30 with shoes. This is a really good deal if you have large groups. They also ID and give you a bracelet if you will be drinking at the entrance. They have lots of lanes open so you can always pretty much get a lane. They also have lots of arcade options for kids and adults. I do wish they offered better snack/appetizer options because they are a hit or miss. Their appetizer platter is pretty good for groups but you should pass on the tacos as they do not look anything like the picture. You can order on the tablet or someone can also come and take your order. Their food items and drinks do take a while to come out though. An employee is always nearby as well in case you have additional requests or need something like extra napkins. Their drinks are a large size but they are about $20 for one large drink. read more

We came here about a month ago on a Saturday night. It wasn't too busy but I could see it getting busy and why a reservation would normally be needed. We were sent to our lane and to my surprise, the area had not been cleaned from the group before us. There was glasses and crumbs and an old plate.... I had to just shove it all to the side so we could use the table... not sure how this slipped by but I hope after my review they will make sure to clean each area after use. I've heard this place is more expensive than other bowling alleys, mainly because it's newer. And yes it is nice inside and the games are a fun touch. Mixed feelings about Bowlero Oxnard. Located in the Collection, Bowlero is a trendy well-designed bowling alley. They offer arcade games (insanely expensive), bowling, and food. We arrived on a Thursday evening, so no reservation needed. Not crazy busy, but I could see how it might be a good idea to make a reservation. Upon arrival, we were greeted by stern, but nice security staff. We learned that we could not take food in for our toddlers, and for the one person in our group with specific dietary needs. So we went to find a table in the collection to eat. Once we finished we went back. I had apple juice for my one year old, and was told not even that was allowed in. I normally have zero problems with outside food policies, but with babies and toddlers it is different. I was pretty turned off by this and probably would rethink taking my toddlers. Bowling was nice and we did have fun. They have automatic bumpers for the littles so us adults could still enjoy. The bowling balls themselves are still pretty new and seem to be a step up in quality over other bowling alleys. The seats were comfortable and the overall look of the place was really fun. They even have a classic Ford Mustang parked inside! My one complaint was the computer system utilized for the games. Bowlero is a bowling alley in a huge building in the Collection with a very enticing arcade. I've been here more than a few times, sometimes for bowling, and sometimes to play some arcade games. There are like 14ish bowling lanes on one side of the building and about another 14 lanes on the other side. In between sits the large arcade and bar. The decor and atmosphere is very stylish, and I like the dimmed, colorful lights and the way they make the bowling alley look very modern. This is one of the first bowling alleys that didn't make me feel like I was stepping back into the 1990s. What gets a Strike (or what's really good): Okay, I was blown away by the fact that you can order food and drinks on a touchscreen at your bowling lane. Because I've only been here in the daytime for bowling, a server also came by to take our food and drink orders, so sometimes we'd order from the server and sometimes we'd order from the screen. They have specialty drinks and standard drinks and they are priced pretty standard to what you'd find in Southern California. There's also giant TVs you can watch while you wait for your turn to bowl. What gets a Spare (or what's okay): The food is standard, so if you're looking for high quality restaurant type food, they don't have that. But the food is pretty good and there's nothing quite like getting crumbs all over your fingers and then going back to put your fingers in the bowling ball! ;-) Also, I've used a Groupon each time I've gone bowling. It's a great deal, so if you have the opportunity to buy one, definitely do it! Otherwise, the games are priced according to the day and time you go plus you have to pay for shoes, and that can definitely add up. You can probably get a lane pretty easily in the day, but good luck trying to get a lane on a weekend night or Sunday afternoon. You'll have to wait for a long time. Also, they check your ID to see if you're over 21 after 6pm on a Saturday and they give you a wristband for drinks. What gets a gutter ball (or what kinda sucks): The arcade is really fun and has a lot of different types of games, but it's VERY expensive! I was shocked when I saw the prices of the arcade. I got a Groupon for arcade games and had a good time playing the games, but I am in shock at how much the arcade games are. You can easily spend $30 on the arcade games and lose your money in 15 minutes or less. Oh yeah, and the pins are on strings! Once I saw it, I couldn't unsee it. This means that instead of the pins doing cool moves like spinning to knock down other pins, it will only go so far on the string. So, if it looked like you should've gotten that Strike, but one pin was left standing, there's a chance that it was because it was on those strings. I'm not a very good bowler, but when you get competitive with family and friends, you need every advantage you can get! read more

We hosted a holiday party for several of our kid volunteers and they were ecstatic! They had a wonderful time. I paid over $700 to have 2 separate parties for my 16 &10 year old sons & what a shit show The first time we had been here was for dinner & to let the kids play in the arcade & we thought it was great so I booked 2 parties for tonight. We arrived at the scheduled time & everything was set up with their names and signs that said happy bday. It was awesome. The parties were set up on separate ends which I was totally okay with! While my 16 y/o & his buddies were getting ready to bowl, a customer went up to him & told them they were in the wrong lanes and that they needed to leave. Apparently, her son and I have the same name so she was confused & her party was set up on the opposite side, next to my other son's party. During my 10 y/o's party, the party next to us literally ate all of the food & drinks set out. I'm assuming they mistaken our set up for theirs? Anyways, it happened the whole 2 hours we were there & the staff or other parent for the party couldn't control their guests. My 10 year old literally had 5 kids for his party & they didn't even get the chance to eat or even feel comfortable in the space that was supposed to be ours. I thought paying a premium vs. the old school option in center was the right move. I'd pay 2x as much not to have to go here again. After spending $55 for my husband, myself, our 2 & 4 year old to play a round of bowling, we went to the arcade where you must purchase a card with "credits" to play. The fun part - it charges you $3 on top of the purchased credits to obtain the actual card. Oh, and if you order fries for $8, they will automatically add on a $2.30 gratuity and then ask for more. Seems they run this joint like a tourist trap . . . And guess what, Oxnard is not a tourist destination! I give it 8 months until it's gone. Best of luck having a good time here! read more
