Bowlero is not only known for bowling; many people also enjoy the arcade section, bar, pool tables, and even laser tag. The last time I visited, I was part of a group of 17 people. We bowled for about two rounds, and I would recommend making a reservation before you arrive or sending someone early to get your name on the list. It can take a long time to get a lane, depending on the day, as this place attracts a lot of visitors. While bowling, it was easy to order food and drinks. However, because we were such a large group, it was challenging for the staff to bring everything out in a timely manner, and some meals and drinks were forgotten. Despite this, the service was okay, and the staff seemed to be trying, even though we rarely saw our waiter. I felt there was a disconnect between the kitchen and the wait staff because we often had to remind them about our orders. But the food itself was good! So, if you are going with a big group, be mindful of this. Regarding laser tag, it was pretty cheap. We paid for two games, which totaled 30 minutes. However, while finishing our first game, the staff informed us that we could not play a second game because they were closing. Which didn't make sense. Although that misunderstanding occurred, the cashier and manager quickly stepped in to make things right. The customer service was good despite the initial confusion. Overall, the vibe of this establishment makes it a fun spot for group gatherings or date nights with friends or family. I came here with a friend this week as we wanted to bowl! Upon entering this place, it will give you a more retro vibe look with the convertible car and cafe that looks like you are getting from a food truck! They have laser tag and some arcade games for little kids! Honestly, my experience here wasn't that great! We were told a lane and someone else came behind telling us they were told the same lane.. lots of confusion! Instead of writing on a paper your lane, just verbally it can be very confusing. We ordered some appetizers because we wanted to munch on something. Our food came very late and on top of that no napkins were delivered even with our drinks. The server service is disappointing. We ordered on round of drinks & my friend had to wait the entire length of our bowling game and asking the server three times where her drinks was. He finally came back over and told us no one knew how to make the drink she asked for... it was literally one of their signature cocktails and all 4 ingredients were listed on the menu. A bowling alley in the suburbs. What was I expecting from this experience?! It was a weekend night where I decided to go bowling without a reservation. My mistake. The place was packed with kids and birthday parties. We sat at the bar. The drinks were very weak. I didn't even taste the liquor being put in the Old School Mule or the Long Island Ice Tea. Finally we had our chance to bowl but for some reason the bowls kept sticking in the back which kind of ruined the experience. Good things about this place is it is glow in the dark at night, there are tvs so you can watch something other than the score (esp if you were losing), and service button in each lane to order food/beverages quickly. read more

Watch out! Their advertised "deal" might be a scam! It was for us!!! During Spring Break they advertised "unlimited" bowling and "unlimited" arcade. We took our son during one of the advertised dates and times. We paid for the "unlimited" arcade expecting to spend quite a while playing the games (minus the games indicated in the fine print). After 2 hours the game card stopped working (we still had 2 hours left until the promotion ended for the day at 6pm). We asked the employee at the arcade why the card stopped working. He didn't know. Then the manager walks by (who sold the card to us) and said the arcade is only for 2 hours! The employee did not know this limit and stated that bowling was unlimited. This was not indicated anywhere on the promotion materials and was not told when the $15.99 card was purchased! our son was very disappointed because he thought this was his ultimate arcade day - he was waiting for this day all week! This place refers to itself as a luxury bowling alley, but all I see is a Dave and Busters with more space. The food is pretty overpriced and forgettable. My fiancé paid $36 for a appetizer sampler that should've been $12 at the most. The pizza was undercooked, could have just came out of the freezer. The loaded tater tots were lacking in cheese and the grilled chicken on top seemed weird. A Red Bull was over $7. We were expecting the food to be a lot better for the price they were charging. For freezer food this was grossly marked up and misleading. They also tack on 18% gratuity regardless of what you order. So the service can be bad and you still going to pay a tip. Crazy hot day so we looked for something indoors to do with 2 teenage boys. Great place, clean, staff really nice. Def not a cheap day, especially if you are bowling. It's like $8 a person a game and to rent shoes like $7 a person. Now here's what annoyed me - they told us the shoes were mandatory, and a liability so you must rent them. Meanwhile while bowling I saw Many other people bowling without shoes!!! You can't pick and choose who has to wear and rent shoes !!!! Sub par food and drinks are very over priced too. Arcade is fun but a lot of credits per game (Wednesday's are half price credits to play, but I'm sure it's packed) We had a lot of fun in the Lazer tag - at only $5 a person that was the best deal! We were also able to choose to have a private game or to be with other people. Went there Saturday 2-15-25 to bowl a few games. Was put on a lane next to pre teen kids with no adults present. Kids were jumping all over the chairs, loud and screaming and constantly cross over lanes in front of us while we were trying to bowl. We left after only bowling one game. When I ordered food at the lane the wings were cold, just like everyone's attitude here. Cold. One bartender on a busy night. This is my first time here last week, and I took my four-year-old, who was so excited to bowl for the first time. The staff was really nice, but it seems like they were having issues with the bowling aisle we were assigned to. First all of our bowling balls weren't coming back so then we waited around 10 minutes for them to fix that, and then the bowling pins weren't coming down anymore so we waited for a while until I decided to leave. I went up to the register and told them it was my first time, hoping that they would potentially switch us to another aisle or give us a discount on the game we didn't complete, but that didn't happen. My daughter had her 9th birthday here and I must say it was one of her best parties. From start to finish the entire staff was very welcoming and tentative. The food was absolutely delicious and I was able to take home the leftovers. My daughter received a bowling pin that all the party guests were able to sign. It's such a cute souvenir. Overall there was some mixed communications between our party and the managers but it was quickly resolved with a compensation on their part so it didn't take away from the experience. Given that I live in the Fairmount area, it was a bit of a drive to get here. But it was worth it because bowling options in my area requires a significant wait for a Saturday night! They have food options, and a bar if you choose to drink. The prices aren't too bad and they have a decent size arcade area. The laser tag is in 15 min game intervals, which there are two teams and you can sign up in advance for a particular time slot. For both the laser tag and bowling they have different nights where they offer discounts like college Tuesdays and so on. This place got a facelift with a new name of Bowlero. I have been bowling since I was a Varsity Bowler in High School and these lanes definitely are nice. You have billards, two bars, a fire pit, awesome looking food truck design for there food. When I went two weeks ago they had one side of the lanes cosmic themed and other side regular so you can concentrate and bowl your A game. Not sure why this place has recieved so many bad reviews but I would love to join a league here if I lived closer and highly recommend this spot if you are looking to bring back memories of when life was more simple and throw some rocks at some pins. I need to try laser tag here again but would prob get too into it and look like a fool shooting from the prong position. As always people SYOY!!! read more

Online booking team is separate from the team inside the location -please keep this in mind as well. Especially when you pay extra for an event fee one would typically assume this covers them handling said event. Regardless things were not managed well. With that in mind- You will be unable to coordinate with them. And it becomes complicated emailing and calling when you are trying to plan properly..Online team was unhelpful from start to finish. Went on 02/20, arrived at 3:15 and put name on list to wait for a bowling lane. Was told it'd be about an hour wait. Go back up and check at 3:45 to see if we were still on track for the hour wait and was told there were 33 people ahead of us but couldn't give us a time. So i walked away and went back up to a different person fifteen minutes later, was told it would be another 2-2.5 hours from that point taking us until almost 6:00/6:30. Terrible customer service and wait times. To top it off too we sat down after putting names in to eat and i had to constantly ask for our food/drinks because it wasn't being brought out to us and the bar service was just as bad. Sat there for 15-20 minutes before being helped. Even after taking our order we sat another 10 minutes before being able to pay and go back to our table. EDIT: Also forgot to mention the cleanliness of it, tables were all covered in trash and not cleaned and took a little bit to even find seating due to dirty tables. Trash all over the floors and the bathrooms were atrocious. This is a cool place to go bowling and has the foundation to be a really nice place. The overall service was not great. We came here for a friends birthday and ordered food through their digital ordering system assigned to each lane. It took 30 minutes for my overpriced $13 wings that tasted like they just came out of the freezer. After another 20 minutes of waiting for our drink pitcher to come out, we had to go get it ourselves. Lastly, my friends waited an 40 minutes for their "pizza" and "nacho fries" that came out to be lower quality than store brand frozen pizza. We purchased 3 games, and half-way through our 2nd game.. our lane stopped and a manager came over and told us we *needed* to move lanes because they had booked a reservation for the lane we were in. I can understand reserving a specific lane, but the lack of coordination is a little inconsiderate. This could have been easily avoided if proper organization was in place. Good time here. Nice atmosphere. Something fun to do with friends, family or just 1 someone else. Last night it was just me & my daughter on a whim when we missed our movie time. We had a great time. The food was good too! No complaints about the service. Only down side - It ended up being a lot of money! We did have 1 short trip to the arcade waiting for our lane but that was only $23. We both only ate apps - quesadillas, cheesy breadsticks (my daughter wasn't crazy about those ) & we ordered nachos at the lane. With a couple drinks & playing 2 games it's was a night that cost over $150 for 2 people for 2 hours of entertainment. While I'm glad we did it, I probably won't do it very often because of the cost. Worst customer service experience Ever. 1.5 hours of bowling with 5 people $200.00... . Our host was changed 3 times. Took 25 minutes for the host to turn the lanes on! There was so much confusion the manager asked to talk to us - That ate up another 15-20min. !!! I requested them to add 30 min. for waiting around - They agreed but took them 15 min to reset the lane. MID GAME- the lanes shut off . So i walk to the manager and he laughs in my face and says "The times the time". I looked frustrated and took off my shoes and the manager shouted and pointed up to the Lane screen indicating that they will let me finish my game. Well.... it took 15 minutes for someone to reset the lanes... On the same note, The pricing is unbelievably confusing, especially talking to the Staff. They knew absolutely nothing. Covid precautions are not met in the arcade area, especially since it's a very high contact place, no hand sanitizers were visible except for at the counter. and only one next to the machine you buy your card at, which was empty by the way. I did not see anybody come by and wipe down anything, same for the rest of the place. If I caught covid I would suspect this place first, and wouldn't be surprised either. I was extremely anxious to be in there especially towards the end. I spent $120 on arcades this past Saturday, and the prizes that were available were extremely disappointing if not a complete rip off. I ended up with close to 3000 tickets. The prizes I got looked like they were open previously as well. I then spent about ~$30 for bowling for two people, the lanes were not every other lane for families which I think is a huge mistake. I will say this, the place looks nice, and I believe the intention was to make this place higher class, but unfortunately the variety, cleanliness, service, prizes really dragged it down. read more

You must pay up front for pool (billiards). They charge $15 per hour to play there. That's ridiculously high compared to a nearby pool hall which only charges $5 per hour. The only reason I went to Bowlero this particular morning was because they opened 1 hour earlier than the place I usually go to. You must pay prior to playing. The pool table area is poorly lit. There is a light over each pool table but it is not bright at all. I first thought there had to be a way to turn up the brightness on that light. Nope, not at all! When I realized this, I asked for a refund which they at least gave me with no problem. The gentleman at the counter understood and I appeared to me that he had heard this "lighting" complaint in the past. read more

I'm writing this review after my second experience! The first one I had was not good because I didn't even get to bowl and the lady at the desk was rude! However, trying this out a second time was worth it! We made reservations for a 2 hour game but got to play way longer. The staff was really nice both our 'host' and the girl who answered all of our service calls. We had a lane reserved for us and that included a water pitcher. Nice touch. All of our balls were at the Lane for us already which was something I didn't like because I personally like to pick out my own ball. None of the ones left for us worked for me. They were all too light and had really small finger holes. It also didn't appear that there was really a place to go select your own bowling balls. Luckily I was able to steal from a nearby lane. They have a device you can order drinks and food from right at the lanes which is really awesome. They have a full bar and a good fist list. They also appear to have a lot of specials on different days which I will have to check or later. The bathrooms were kind of gross though and old looking despite the great remodel they did on this place. read more

Omg I am never coming back here again. We walk in and get stopped by security, with a metal wand and everything, what? At the bowling alley? They search all through my purse pulling receipts and napkins and stuff I haven't seen in years, looking through every little pocket.. I'm like WHAT are you looking for anyway? He's says alcohol and guns. He keeps searching, I'm like I think you dug down to China and there none of that in my purse. JEEZ!! Then omgg the wand.. Checked out the newly revamped Bowlero on Saturday night. This place is definitely trying to step up thier hipster game with a new brand..and they achieve it. Lots of large screen TV over the lanes, cool lighting, great signature cocktails and a very open and airy bar area are all part of the makeover. They have pool tables that you can rent by the hour and an arcade with multiple racing, shooting, and classic games. The wall decor and red shinny Fiat decor is fun! Bowling can be pricy. I think it was over $40 for two games and shoe rental. I saw signs for specials they run. It would be much cheaper to catch one of those. All of the shoe rentals are new but still have that "I'm a hideous bowling shoe" look. The only issue we had was with finding bowling balls. People had so many in their lane. There was not area to go grab a ball. I ended up using a ball that was way to light because there just weren't many options. I am using this my embarrassing low score. read more

A 4.5 experience for sure. I had a group of 11, for cousins fun day, looking to do a group activity together. I had once looked at Bowlero for another event, but went in a different direction. So when cousin fun day started to materialize, I knew I'd have to revisit this as an option. I worked with Brendan, one of the event managers to coordinate my group. It was very easy to work with him and get him on the phone or email for any questions I had leading up to the event. It set the tone, for what I was hoping to be a very fun night. Booked the 8pm-10pm time slot, with option to extend. I picked the option with 3 unlimited food items and 2 non premium drink tickets pp. Turned out to be a great deal pp. I arrived a bit early the night of, and it wasn't too crowded for our 8pm time slot. So instead of checking in right away, had a drink at the bar to check out the service in the case the group wanted to move to the bar after our bowling. Looking around, def a great space, lots of seating in the bar/lounge area, arcade games sprinkled in (the actual arcade/laser tag is in the front entrance area) - and a cool designed kitchen/food order window designed to look like a camp caravan. Everything seemed clean, which was a plus. The bartender was just friendly enough. After a drink, we went off to check our group in. The two gentleman who were at the podium lead us to the counter to check in. The girl, seemed really out of it and couldn't find my reservation at first. My stomach dropped. Finally, she found it. Phew! Our hostess and attendant came over after we got our shoes and lead us to our lanes. What a lovely set up! Food chafing dishes on the outside, comfy seating for everyone on the inside and 2 tables. The food area was decorated nicely, had signs for everything, and looked really inviting. My husband and I looked at each other with nods of approval. The rest of our group arrived on time, got their shoes easily and came bounding over, looking very happy with the set up and excited to bowl. The lane I was in, had some technical issues. Which is why I am taking off half a star. It took several conversations with the front desk that things weren't being calculating/registering correctly. On the 3rd time letting them know they finally had a tech come over and go down into the lane to adjust some things, which resulted in 3 turns being marked as strikes on the board. Thankfully we were just there to have fun, and not care too much about score. After he adjusted it, everything registered fine the rest of the time. The food came out about 30 min into our first game, and we were all pleasantly surprised. We had pizza, chicken tenders, and spinach and artichoke dip. This was a bit above your childrens party food, the spinach dip had lovely pita bread and tortilla chips - the pita chips were amazing. The next best thing was the chicken tenders. Tender that you could tell were def from a chicken, not minced up etc - the light breading and fry on them were great, and the flavor was actually pretty amazing. We couldn't get over how good they were, for just chicken tenders! The "worst" was the pizza, but it wasn't the worst pizza ever had. The servings were huge, and we didn't actually need a refill on anything! We wound up not extending our time, 2 hours was plenty for the majority in our group, though I really wanted to extend! Our attendant was pretty good for the evening, he kept track of our drink tickets and let us know how many we had left and when we ran out. The drinks came quickly enough and he kept the food area clean. When we gave him a tip, it's like he's never received one ever before, the pure surprise and shock on his face - do people really not tip anymore? All in all, we all agreed we'd do this again and look at making it a monthly/bi monthly get together.
