Number 1: I am very easy going with my hair so I like to see what stylists/colorists can come up with to give me a new look. Number 2: I am usually pampered by mom and get $70+ haircuts and colors. Now being on my own, I was interested to see what Stephanie's could offer me! I was given an appointment with Kristen for 10 AM and I always show up about 10 minutes early to appointments. She took me right away and I was very happy to be greeted by Stephanie herself as well when I walked in. Overall, I am obsessed with my haircut! The price... I am even more in love with and the fact that the salon has a "refer-a-friend" discount is awesome (both my roommate and I are receiving a discount)! Kristen gave me amazing layers and worked with a difficult "bang-situation" I had going on from a previous cut. She was very easy to talk to and extremely knowledgeable. She listened to my concerns and did exactly what she thought I needed. She was also very careful not to over-cut, which I will admit happens all too much at salons. I immediately set up a follow-up appointment and cannot wait to go back!

I picked a different shade of green than I've had for the past few years and wanted to add some metallic looking blue... it came out really cool but a week later I was missing my old color and Chloe brought me right back in and added in hints of my original color. I am ABSOLUTELY OBSESSED NOW. My sister got a Keratin treatment from Jaymi and it came out really good. She has very thick hair that's almost down to her waist and has a hard time finding anyone who has the patience and is willing to take the time to do a good job with the keratin treatment (it's a very long tedious process)... my sister also doesn't like to talk during her processes and she said Jaymi picked up on that pretty quick and didn't make her talk which she absolutely loved. We first sat for a consult and my sister was very clear about she wanted. I was a little more laid back - I even told the woman, "I trust you" after telling her that I wanted, "volume that would last all night - but I don't want to look like Dolly Parton" (not that there's anything wrong with that look... not for me). I never should have told her I trusted her. That's on me. Anyways, we went back to get our hair washed and my sister and I hadn't really begun to talk - then the gossip between the stylists begun. They talked and talked and talked about their boyfriends, what their plans were for that evening, and how excited they were to be done with our hair so they could enjoy the sushi that awaited them in the break room. I don't get to see my sister often so I was really looking forward to enjoying this hair appointment to catch up. That didn't happen at all. My personal hair stylist's boyfriend came into the shop and took her keys. It was clear he was doing a diagnostic on her car. He kept going and coming. He took 3 sets of keys and did 3 different checks on different stylist's cars. This strange 3rd party character was off putting to say the least. They kept yelling across the salon to him when he was inside and talking about him while he was outside. Total middle school girl gossip during a $59 blowout (x2). It then became apparent to me that my stylist's plan for the evening was more important than my hair. I asked for volume - she used rollers. Rollers need hours to set in order to curl. She should have used a curling iron on my hair. Especially after telling her my hair doesn't typically hold a curl. I told her I wanted volume. My hair came out pin straight. She asked me if I like it and I said yes because if i told her the truth, we would have been late to the wedding. I didn't have time to listen to more gossip, debate prices, or get my hair done a second time. I had to ask her for a middle part because she parted my hair on the left without asking. Then when I got home I saw she hadn't even parted the entire center. I had to fix the part so it was straight. I was so mad I didn't get their names but we tipped them via Venmo (they asked us too - sketchy?! Isn't this a nationwide chain? Why are we using Venmo at all?) so I do have those records. Totally disappointed. BUT still have a 20% tip. Left 5 pictures of STRAIGHT hair. No volume at all. Don't visit this location. Total waste of money.

I received a bad haircut 2+ years ago at a different salon and I was finally feeling like I could go and get my haircut again. I was very careful when researching salons and thought this place would be a good fit. I mentioned in my booking that this was my first haircut in a while due to a bad experience and told my stylist. The salon also asked for pictures of my hair and sent a questionnaire asking what I wanted. I said multiple times that I wanted long layers and to keep most of my length. That did not happen. The stylist kept length in the back and gave me very short layers and I do not like the very poofy, volumized look. When I have gotten curly cuts in the past, it's like they are carving my curls with their scissors and making them fall nicely. The stylist here took portions of my hair and pulled them to the opposite side of my head to cut and give me very short layers. When dried, the curls get muddled together and do not even fall nicely. I feel like I have a shelf of short curls around my head. I wear my hair up and I cannot even wear it braided due to all the layers. When I shower I am reminded of what a hack job of a haircut I received and get sad all over again. Having mentioned my troubled past with haircuts in the booking (and in person), I thought that they would be very careful when cutting my hair. I am aware that my past heightens my current disappointment, but I think it is still worth to note to prospective customers that they are not able to achieve long layers.

I made an appointment with Katerina. She was great. She felt I was a good candidate for a Reno cut, and she was right. The way my hair falls now is wonderful and so easy to maintain. I completely understand life happens - people get sick, emergencies arise, but when it happens twice in a row, the salon should do something more then send a generic text and then ignore their customers. I made this appointment FIVE WEEKS in advance and needed my hair done for an event over the weekend. The woman on the phone was not very nice. When I expressed I was disappointed because this is the second time in a row this happened, she just said "we can't have people work when they're sick..." she completely missed the point. If I get cancelled on last minute, twice in a row, and you can't accommodate a new reservation, give your customer a discount or a free hair product. Not an attitude. Especially when the salon would have gladly charge me in FULL if I was the one to cancel last minute. Thankfully, I was able to find a place in the area that took me last minute so I will be paying them from now on. There are plenty of other places, who charge better, and care about their customers, so tread carefully with this place.
