Location: On the busy rue de Faubourg Saint-Antoine, which is sort of in Bastille.
The place: The shop is small and they've usually got 1-2 people working.
The goods: I always buy a SIM card when I travel and this time was no exception. You can buy prepaid credit, and it looks like you can go for data only or data + talk + text. They're a mobile provider so they also have phones and accessories.
Service: OK but not excessively friendly. Depends who you get. The first time, the fellow took care of setting everything up for me. The second time, the chick gave me the receipt and told me the instructions on how to top up were on it. In terms of reception, it's pretty good in most places but indoors, can sometimes fall short.
Price point: The SIM card is 10€ and your prepaid will depend on what you want. For another 10€, you get 1GB of data - but be careful because I wasn't aware that's only valid for 8 days. Bit of a rip-off when you can pay the same price in countries like Spain, where you'll be valid for a month. read more
