Not sure if this is the correct spelling of his name or not. I don't know if was dismissed for being an American, being dressed casually, or being black. Regardless it was not a good experience. The store was huge and well stocked, with tons of clothing and accessories, as well as an enormous pharmacy and cosmetics area. I thought about picking up some Caudalie and La Roche-Posay products, which were very cheap, but decided against it to avoid checking my bag going home. Joke was one me when I had to check it anyway, and barely made my flight because I hadn't accounted for that extra chunk of time. Buying a bunch of French skincare would've saved me a little bit of stress. I did get a French nasal spray on the recommendation of my friend who lives in Paris. I bought it for my perpetually congested husband, who was home watching the kids. It was the only souvenir I brought him from my trip (though I did get a Diptyque candle for the house), and I actually used it first when I caught a cold last month. I can at least attest that it worked quite well. The Monoprix was bustling, but check-out was easy and quick. I left with my nasal spray, and my friend did get her black cardigan. If you're looking to score some well priced French products, this place is definitely worth checking out. And if you're on the fence about that Caudalie Beauty Elixir, just go ahead and treat yourself.

The biggest disappointment is that you have to pay to use the restrooms here. Ridiculous! I didn't have any cash and wasn't sure if I'd be able to use a card, so I had to leave. There was a long line of people trying to use the bathrooms, so they must make a nice chunk of change from this. But quite stressful when you would expect a restroom especially for how large this place is.
