Their merchandise is extremely diverse, comprising just about anything you want across three buildings. The main building, where you'll find women's fashions, accessories, cosmetics, eyeglasses (including an optometrist), sportswear, children's wear, is topped with a must-see art glass dome, complete with a glass cat walk (maybe on the 4th floor?) that enables up close viewing of the dome from the inside. There are restaurants, rest rooms, and sweets shops in this building, too. Menswear has a building all to itself, as does the food court. Be careful here. There are so many delicious and appetizing foods offered in the food court building that you'll be tempted to overstuff. It would be just too easy to spend an entire day shopping at Galleries Lafayette.

At the entrance all the well known brands for bags and clothing. The area for Moynart Labubu was doing brisk business. A Labubu bag I looked at was 2300 euros!!! Soooo many stuff here. We went to the 6th floor to get souvenirs, cookies, and gifts to bring home. Our suitcases will be packed full. Great service, friendly staff. No pictures, the store was too crowded and I didn't want to get in trouble for taking pictures with no permission.

The museum is in the garment district, and the art may inspire you to pick up some fabric to make a collage.

Jamie W and I made it a priority to visit Galeries Lafayette because of the famous Art Nouveau dome, which was indeed fabulous (review: https://yelp.to/XRXnKANd7b). We decided to visit Printemps as part of our rainy day itinerary because we figured it would be a good chunk of time where we could stay dry indoors. We were right, and the store was less crowded and easier to navigate than its direct competitor. We found ourselves at the charming Cafe Perche on the 7th floor, where we relaxed over rich 6,50€ Chocolate Chauds and delicious butter cookies (Photo 8). Afterward, we found ourselves on two different rooftop terraces, the first was a more contained space that provided immediate views of the area as well as the architectural detail. The second space was actually an entryway to a nice-looking restaurant (Le Picnic) but still provided glorious panoramic views for freeloaders like us. One floor down was an upscale food hall. Printemos has its own Art Deco-style dome, but it doesn't have the grandeur of Galeries Lafayette (Photo 5). It's their new affordable fashion brand that's accessible to any budget, but with clothes you won't find at places like H&M or Uniqlo. Lots of basics with modern cuts and enough style for the streets of Paris, or anywhere in the world you might wear their stuff. Their jeans are one of the things most people come here for, and while I didn't buy any, I can see why someone would. They look great and the price is right. You might want to bring an extra suitcase on your next trip, because you're going to run out of room in your carry on.

There was about a 15 min wait to get in and the process was pretty quick since I knew exactly what I wanted. During my visit, once in a sales associate came to assist right away. While they didn't have the black cherry, she offered the taupe and red clay-- I decided on the red clay and actually love it! Things to note: If visiting from outside of France and aiming to do a tax refund, make sure to have your physical passport on hand. Also to note, they don't accept AMEX for payment. Additionally, a physical card must be used for my sans contact/ApplePay friends. Not sure if it's just this location or Poléne. Overall, super happy with the handbag. I wish I'd also gotten the Cyme for more everyday use but will have to when next in Paris.

I fell in love at every turn from the moment we stepped through the door. I picked up gifts for myself, my nephew, and a friend at work. There's an officine universelle buly inside which is so convenient if you're not up for the long queues. So many exceptional offerings here. They first introduced the idea of a place with fixed prices and no haggling, which was an intense concept for folks in the 1800s. Pass forward to modern days, I'm not sure if it's still a good deal, because now it is a department store of luxury goods. They have designer fashion, accessories and beauty, home and design and an epic food hall. I'm not into the shopping but I was here to admire the architecture since there was parts of their glass and ironwork done by Gustave Eiffel. Not a must visit, but interesting place to browse if you have some extra time.
