However I was so impressed with the online experience I had to write a review anyways. So first I was very excited that the dress I was interested in was available in plus sizes - i used the sizing chart and because I was inbetween I sized up deciding if I needed to I would get it altered. if I didn't like it I could send it back because they have a solid return policy. I ordered the dress on a Thursday morning, paid for standard shipping and assumed it would arrive sometime next week since I live in Alberta. Imagine my shock when it arrived the NEXT DAY. Opened it up and everything was beautifully wrapped in ribbon with a beautiful note to boot. The dress is gorgeous - it will definitely need some hemming but I could not be more thrilled. I 100% will be buying from here again.

I went Sunday Oct 6th with my bridesmaids to look at wedding dresses & bridesmaids dresses. The…read moredresses are beautiful and well priced. but the lack of customer service made the experience less enjoyable. I found a few staff members had attitude. I was ready to drop over 1000.00$ for my wedding dress & 5 brides maid dresses and they didn't seem to care. waiting almost 25 minutes to check out, and the cashier wanted to give me the sample dress without a garnet bag... the dress was worn multiple times and not so white anymore. I asked if I could get a new one as she rolled her eyes and walked away to get a brand new one. again the prices are good, just don't have high expectation for customer service.

I love going into check out the store for great bargains on shoes, dresses and coats. Often you'll see an item online but you need to call to hold it. Or go into the store often immediately their pieces sell out so fast. After trying a few items on I could see what the hype was all about. Also as a tall woman of 6 feet I appreciate the length in their items and the great fit to my body. However, their is only a few changerooms which are usually full and taken when you go into the business. Also you are parked on the street at St. Laurent sometimes the parking can be difficult to find and task worthy to add more time to the meter while changing and trying on different outfits. The prices on some items are quite high but some of them are reasonable. Some people also try items on and wreck them. I fell in love with a pink coat and they would only give me 10 % off. I don't know how to sew so it wasn't worth it. Overall it is a definite try. The clothing is amazing and classy. Go and see for yourself.

Prices are reasonable given the quality of the items, roughly 50% of what they would be brand new, +/- about 10%. No crazy bargains to be had, but if you're looking for a specific item and don't want to pay retail, this can be a good option. My daughter has wanted a Canada Goose coat for a while, but they are around $1000 new. I found one here in excellent condition for $400 and was very happy with the purchase, especially as they had a sale on that day for an extra 10% off. Watch their Facebook page and Instagram for sales and for new items in stock. The only negative I had about the store was that there was a very faint smell of cigarettes but it was not in the clothes so not really a big deal. The lady in the store was friendly and helpful and there was no pressure to buy anything. With the fashion industry having such an environmental impact, I've been trying to buy fewer things by buying quality clothes that will last a longer time and buying consignment whenever I can. Will definitely stop in here whenever I am on the hunt for a new addition to the wardrobe.

There's the usual taxidermy of deer and other antlered species but here you can also find taxidermy of baby chickens- in individual little glass containers! As someone else mentioned, you do kind of get more drawn into the weird taxidermy than the vintage clothing, jewelry and home items for sale. They have an assortment of interesting vintage dresses, clothes and bags, most with a 40s, 50s and early 60s aesthetic. They had a very cool selection of vintage sunglasses.... But wait, what is that taxidermy thing over there.... I would not recommend this store to anyone who is the least bit freaked out by taxidermy, but totally worth a visit if that sort of thing doesn't bother you!

Unfortunately I cannot recommend anyone take their business to Claudette. I was a customer of…read moreClaudette's for years (buying off the rack) and thought she would make a beautiful wedding dress for me and a dress for my mother. Instead she produced a dress of extremely low quality with both low quality fabric and construction, that was no where near what we originally discussed. For my mom's dress, she said she would make the one my mom tried on in a different colour, but when my mom received it, it was so big it was falling off her and had weird gaping fabric because of how badly it was sewed (another seamstress said she couldn't even fix it). Claudette refused to acknowledge any of this and forced us to pay in full. Unfortunately Claudette does not have the best interest of her clients in mind - do not trust her.

I was greeted by the designer and owner directly and immediately started finding some gorgeous gowns. An hour later, still trying on beautiful and unique dresses, I have to say my hairstylist was definitely right, but then again how could I ever have doubted him! Rush specializes in handmade bespoke dresses. There are many samples to try on in the front room, but the real magic happens when you speak with the designer to start customizing your gown. The price is also relatively affordable, ranging from $400-800, as far as I saw. Still a lot, but considering what wedding dresses go for these days, I was pleasantly surprised. Whether you're looking for a wedding dress, bridesmaid dresses or evening wear, Rush offers some beautiful, handmade and locally designed gowns.

The colors (black, rust, navy, cream), the layout, and the clothes themselves all go together. The feeling is warm and inviting, so you want to go explore all the pieces on display. I used to sell yarn and fabric, so I loved the different textures and materials on display, from a luxuriously dense knit sweater to an elegant silk blouse. The design of each item was trendy but approachable -- I am a jeans and t-shirt kinda lady but I saw things I would wear. So why didn't I come home with a whole new wardrobe? Price, of course, sigh. Les Étoffes is definitely a special-occasion boutique, and alas I was only sightseeing. While I was there, though, a young man was trying on shirts and mentioned that he was making his first L.E. purchase. It seemed like he'd been looking forward to that day for a while.
