Super cute fun, interactive place for parent and their children! My son enjoyed it so much and he was able to play and learn new songs!

Weekday visits are far better than weekends. I have a pre-K child, and our first weekend visit was…read moretough, crowded play areas, kids pushing and not sharing, and a noticeable lack of parent engagement. Weekdays attract a different mix of families, and the experience improves dramatically. The exhibits are engaging, and my kiddo could happily stay at the bubble station on repeat. There is food on site, bathrooms are clean, and the staff is genuinely kind. As a parent, it is refreshing to have interactive museums like this in town. Adults can enjoy the activities too, but this space is designed for kids of all ages. During peak weekend hours, letting children take the lead makes the experience better for everyone. Only took one star because I wish there was more staff interaction- for times with children are not always kind & parents who are not paying attention. It's not ok for a stranger to get involved, so it would be nice if staff monitored just a little more. Still wondering if this is a museum dig or community parenting issue. You be the judge. 9/10 recommend!

You cannot go wrong coming they have something for everyone and pretty much all ages!…read more Great outdoor spaces too and little park, outdoor water play during the warmer months and so many cool activities inside. The trains are a huge hit for my son. They have a dangerous but fun little gift shop at the front. Parents you know what I mean. They also have a café that has a great selection of kid friendly food choices, and caffeinated beverages for parents! But you do not have to have kids to enjoy all they have to offer it truly is fun for all ages!

I found the YMCA Early Childhood Development Center Daycare through a coworker. I needed interim…read morecare for my 19 month old toddler because we lost our other sitter to a day job, and we were still on a waiting list for a daycare/preschool closer to home. The Y had an opening, and we went. Well, I am really glad that we did. The carers are awesome, they all made a fuss over my son everyday, which was great. They have a little report card they give you at the end of the day so you have some idea how your kidlet ate, napped and generally did during the day. The staff are fun, friendly and have a really good sense of humor, which I really appreciate. They made sure all the kids were fed often, and were prompt to change diapers. My son never had any issues with rashes or other diaper stuff. Pros: The staff are great, very engaged with the kids, and my son was always relaxed and happy at the end of the day. They got to play a lot of games, there's a big space and not too many kids (15 total) for the number of caregivers (3 at any time). They have the same people there, so the kids have consistency in caregivers too, which I really like. They did different activities, painting, drawing, singing, and just playing. Cons: the only con was that the outdoor area isn't ideal. It's in an office building so the outdoor space is concrete. There are foam pads on the ground, so the kids won't get scrapes when they fall, and there's lots of toys, but it's still concrete. I think given the location, and the awesome staff, that isn't a terrble thing for me. Overall, I do recommend YMCS downtown daycare. They are really convenient, really nice and reasonably priced, too!
