It's cool to know we live in an era where the Geek isn't just accepted in common culture, Geek is celebrated, marketed to, and plundered for every red cent they can shake out of their piggy banks. Geeks virtually own the box office; Hollywood would go broke without a smattering of summer superhero blockbusters. Harry Potter tats are acceptable hipster currency and c'mon, who isn't psyched about another Star Wars movie? Geeks storm local pubs for trivia night and hey, they might even drink. Some of 'em, anyway. If you got a problem with this, just remember that without Geeks, that there cell phone you're holding wouldn't exist. My inner Geek was founded on the Thundercats, I discovered my heterosexuality when Jabba the Hutt did the pre-pubescent population a huge favor and enslaved Princess Leia, and my favorite four-letter word, even as a grown-up, remains L-E-G-O. Bricks & Minifigs knows that a five o'clock shadow and a Prius doesn't make me any less of a child; if anything, I'm desperately trying to recapture that inner kiddo, which in my case means indoctrinating my offspring in the art of little plastic blocks. Forget a baseball game; give me a few hours building spaceships and castles with my daughter, and my work is done. This awesome little shop devotes half the real estate to builders. Huge trays of pieces await the inner-architect; Thursdays are devoted building sessions, and you can rent the place out for birthdays and special events. On top of that they offer some kewl sets, specialty figs and collectors pieces, everything a Geek like me could want for pure Lego ecstasy. So go on with your bad self, hop in your TARDIS and transport yourself to this rockin' little strip mall shop. Everything is, indeed, awesome.

Food: You HAVE to purchase a special package in order to bring food into this establishment. Seating: a majority of their tables but maybe 2-3 are reserved. There's no sitting space for families if they choose to come here. Restrooms: No toilet paper in the stalls. And when I was on the phone I heard one of the employees say "there isn't any on the other stalls?" Like uhm hello I'm in the phone with a man sitting in the women's stall.... Like what?! You work here. Get toilet paper and put some in the stalls. Luckily someone walked in and I asked them if they can please get me some toilet paper "from the other stalls" Employees: they are rude. Not once did me or my family and friends feel welcomed. Almost like we should not be here. If you don't have I guess special accommodations with this places you're treated differently. Not only that but working with children all around you. Employees should be more aware of their surroundings as one of them hit my one year old with a box. No apologies either. I don't recommend this place what so ever.

We could not not confirm anything since the "manager" would not return calls. We went to the new location twice only to find it closed. We basically had to cross our fingers and hope they were open on the day of the party, and thankfully they were, but what a disappointing dump that place was. They were still putting things together, their internet sucked and they were having trouble with the VR, and when it finally got going the guy in charge wanted to give us a hard time, saying it costs extra. Well when we booked the party the person helping us told us it was included in the package price. Don't waste your time here, make the extra effort and go to Dave and Busters for your kids parties. This place isn't worth the price and the staff are just rude and unhelpful.

I'll never forget what the Park Ranger said when I sheepishly admitted my virgin visit. Add Wildlife West's Chuckwagon Supper Shows to my list of backyard gems I wish I would've discovered decades back. For a low, low price, you and your homies, or your partner, or just your own desperately single self, can come visit some of the sweetest little rescued creatures around (really, there are domesticated coyotes who desperately want your attention), sit down for a falcon show that's honestly eye-opening, and then settle in for a heapin' helpin' of cowboy grub (with a vegetarian option) and some seasoned Bluegrass.
