What an awesome clinic! Not only is it super bright and cute, but the staff are incredibly friendly and thorough. I'm glad I've found the perfect vet - I definitely won't go anywhere else! read more

Excellent vet! Great service, very knowledgeable doctors and treated my pet so well.

We've been bringing our anxious German Shepherd/Lab mix here for about two years now. The first time we visited, you could tell the doctor truly loves animals by the way she got right on the floor to comfort and gave treats and snuggles to our 80lb scared boy. The staff is always considerate of him and his anxiety at the vet and is always very friendly toward us. The doctors are willing to listen to our questions and concerns before offering their thoughts. I have not felt pressured by them to do anything I wasn't sure or aware of - Instead was given the options with the pros and cons. We were given constant updates throughout his visits (when we couldn't go in with him due to COVID). They have also gone out of their way to update us on current findings when it comes to what is best and safest for our dog (I.e., grain free v. grain food). We have had a great experience with Boulevard in Logan! read more

Grateful to have found this vet as newcomers to town. Our dog needed (non emergency) dental surgery for a broken tooth, and they were able to fit us in within 7-10 days. Impressed with the professional and friendly staff and bedside manner. Correction on my last comment: parking is easy! Look for the covered spots in the alley on the west wall of the building - you'll find 4 spots there! read more

I truly can't say enough about the team at Boulevard. They are attentive, kind, compassionate and knowledgeable. The people at the front desk are especially helpful and lovely. Time and again, they've gone out of their way to quickly get me any paperwork or information I've needed and always with a smile! read more

We've been taking Maru to Blvd Vet (Logan Square) since 2015 and are very pleased with their services. We really like and respect Dr. Dylan. He's an excellent and compassionate vet. He takes the time to explain every aspect of Maru's health to us. Dr. Geisler who we met recently was also very nice, calm and knowledgable. The facility is super clean. All of their staff, from the receptionists to techs are universally outstanding...always makes you and your pet feel incredibly welcome. And most of all, they are very kind to my dog! Thank you, team Blvd!!! read more

If you are in the area, I highly recommend going to this place for all of your furry family needs. I believe most of their prices and cost are fair market value for Chicago. I called a fair amount of places when I first moved to Chicago and this place offered the best and most fair standard office visit fees. For me, my little loves' health are so much more important than saving a few bucks. However, it is still important to go to a place that charges reasonably. Sure you can you have find even cheaper vets, but I wouldn't compromise on the expertise and reliability just to save some money. I also wouldn't spend more money if I don't need to. So that's why I think this is a solid place to go for the cost and service. This is a newer facility and the office looks clean and pleasant. The vets are gentle and kind. They listen to all of your concerns and don't try to push unnecessary procedures onto you. I think it's a great place to go for regular check ups. However, if your love ones unfortunately become ill especially when the cause is unknown, they are fully equipped to run various diagnostics and exams to figure out what's wrong. It's also worthy to note that they have been on time for all of my appointments. PLUS THEY HAVE PRIVATE PARKING!! TLDR: Reasonable & fair prices, experienced & reliable, kind & gentle, HIGHLY RECOMMEND read more

This place is the absolute best! I am a first time pet owner and the staff and doctor were so incredibly helpful for my cat's first check up. The vet walked me through every single potential illness/health problems that male cats are at risk for and what exactly to look for for signs of it. She walked me through every part of his body and how it was and explained things in a way where I could really understand and was not condescending in the slightest when I asked stupid questions! These guys are absolute wonderful and I couldn't recommend enough! read more

Can't say enough about Boulevard Vet Logan Square, such a nice clean welcoming atmosphere. Fredo loves coming here because he knows he will get treats. Doctors are kind and compassionate as well. Wouldn't think of taking Fredo anywhere else. read more

I recently transferred to Boulevard Vet after moving to the Wicker Park area. While I do think they are a little on the expensive side, the facilities are clean and bright and the staff are so friendly! They have a few spots for parking in the alley next door and I've never been unable to find room. After my dog visited and was prescribed antibiotics, they were quick to get back to me regarding some follow-up questions, and they even sent an email checking in a few days later. I trust them with my dog's care 100%. read more

My 20 year old cat developed a funky ear infection so I asked my friends and coworkers if they had a vet they loved, and oddly none of them had great things to say about their vet. We decided to to go to Boulevard because they're in the neighborhood and are we glad! They were wonderful - very nice and professional. Dr Holub and Dr Williams were fantastic, I would highly recommend Boulevard Vets, I feel confident in the care our cat received. read more

Boulevard Veterinary Logan Square - Veterinarians Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

This vet clinic is close to my home, clean and modern, efficient and technologically savvy. I also trust they provide quality care for the animals. That being said, there was something about it that didn't feel great to me - but perhaps I just need to go back and meet with another vet that I connect with a bit more. The vet took a 2-second look at my pet's teeth and deemed dental cleaning necessary, a procedure wherein they put the animal under anesthesia for over $1000. The short visit itself was on the pricey side at $65. I think for people with more disposable income it's a fine clinic. As a private practice health care provider myself, I can appreciate marketing to a higher income bracket, and I also understand the delicate balance of providing quality service with the realities and ambition of running a business. However, for any sort of medical care I prefer a homier, warmer place that feels to me as though first and foremost it's a clinic, and not a business - and to me, Boulevard Veterinary feels like it's a business first. read more

Phenomenal vet. They really took their time with me during my cats yearly checkup in a way that most vets don't, getting to know both me and my cat Naboo. Before and after the appointment they were quick at answering any questions or concerns. The clinic itself is clean and modern. They were also very transparent with costs and fees before administering anything, which is a problem I've had with other vets. I couldn't recommend them any higher. read more

Don't take your dog here if they are likely to be anxious. Poor handling of our rescue dog led to a terrible situation during which staff, especially the vet, behaved in ways that can only be described as heartless. Place is over-rated and you will be overcharged. read more

Times are tough, and I get that small businesses need our help more than ever right now but this is my third infuriating encounter with Boulevard Vet and I've had my fill. I took my pet here over a year ago because it was newly opened and close to my home. I was less than impressed with my visit, the vet immediately told me my dog would need a professional teeth cleaning which would cost upwards of $1k (something my vet in Evanston had assured me wasn't needed months earlier), charged an arm and a leg for services and a prescription that my vet in Evanston had done more thoroughly and at a fraction of the cost, and fed my dog a chicken treat which I had repeatedly said she was allergic to. I stupidly tried to make a second appointment several months later because my pet was sick and I was desperate only to find that the person at the front desk couldn't find my pet's records anywhere. They were rude, abrasive, and I ended up hanging up the phone and driving to Evanston after I had been put on hold for 15 minutes. I've continued driving my pet all the way to Evanston for the last year. Recently during the COVID pandemic I noticed my dog scooting and realized her glands needed to be expressed. I called and was told that in order to come in I would need to have her get a full annual checkup (she just got one) with a vet there with shots (that she already has and I have records for) all just to get her glands expressed. To have to drive an hour to get a thorough, friendly, and reasonably priced vet visit when this place is in my front yard should say something. Never again will I contact this money hungry place. read more

I went here the first time a couple of years ago simply because I lived a block away. At the time, I only had a cat. Then a year later, I rescued a puppy who had her neuter surgery done through the rescue foundation at a vet who was so unorganized they had to look in three separate areas to find her file and what they did produce was so hard to read it was practically useless. Once her surgery was done, I immediately went to BLVD and just had a consultation to get her in the system and they jumped through so many hoops for me to get the records from the previous vet. So, now both of my fur babies visit BLVD regularly and I can't rave about them enough. I always leave there feeling confident that my animals are healthy and happy and they give great medical advice and genuinely care about your animal's well-being. Also- this company does many events throughout the city that help out rescues! I attended a bloody mary competition that they took part in where all proceeds helped out a small rescue foundation in the city. They do stuff like this all the time. It can be considered pricey, but I honestly think it's quite comparable to other vets- and the service you get in return is priceless! Everyone is so friendly and knowledgeable. We love it there and will continue to recommend them to other pet owners! read more

***WOW*** So saying I have a special needs dog is an understatement! I adopted her from Afghanistan while there on deployment. Unfortunately on the way home, she contracted Distemper, a NASTY disease that only 5% of dogs survive. My dog has blindness, a twitch, GI Tract issues, teeth issues, overall major neural issues. I walked into Boulevard, they already had all my info via a stream lined online submission process. They had seen the picture of my dog and referred to me by name upon entering! They also called and faxed our THREE previous Vets from other duty stations, and by the time I left had compiled her entire medical record via fax! The next step was meeting with the Vet Tech. Alyssa was an absolute sweetheart, and incredibly knowledgeable. To say I have experience with a wide range of Vet clinics is an understatement, and Alyssa was unbelievably knowledgeable! She had knowledge about distemper that is very uncharacteristic of a young vet tech, especially since it is such a rare disease. Dr. Dylan was next up and he was outstanding. By the time I had left, he had brought me through an entire comprehensive care plan, to include dental treatments, new treatment options and long term care advice. He is even doing research to follow up to ensure some of his new treatment ideas would work in our situation. Upon leaving, the receptionist, doctor and vet tech had all conferred, and had everything ready for my departure. They gave me outstanding estimates that were all below what I had spent at previous Vets and made every effort to ensure they could save me money. They wrote a prescription to help me find a low price online, and even ordered a new drug for me they didn't stock at a great discount. When I got my final bill for the first visit, to include labs, rabies vacc, checkup, and other basic checkups, it was 20% cheaper than my previous Vets. ***I give this place 5 stars only because I can't give it 6! I would travel a long distance to get here, their performance, affordability and honesty make it worth it! *** read more

Boulevard Vet exceeds all expectations! The staff and doctors are super friendly, gentle with our dog and so accommodating. They were able to see us today at the last minute and took great care of our pup who was in pain. Trento, our dog, loves it there - he actually enjoys going "in back" for his shots! We have seen both Dr. Dylan and Dr. Buso and both were great. The location is beautiful, much nicer than what I expected for a vet. Super modern, incredibly clean and inviting. Highly recommend it if you are looking for a vet in the area! read more

They were seriously as good as it gets. Thelma needed her teeth and ears checked, and both the wonderful vet tech, Audrey, and Dr. Frederickson were the BEST. The attention to detail in the clinic is impeccable, and we even left with a treat bag for my old dumb dumb of a cat. I was also given a step by step breakdown of cost and treatment for Thelma's tooth extraction, which put me at ease with the cost and her upcoming visit. I almost never write yelp reviews, but I left so satisfied that I had to. This was one of the best services I've ever received in Chicago in ANY aspect. I highly, highly recommend it. Thanks guys! read more

I've been going to Boulevard for almost a year at this point. I initially chose them because of their convenient location, the almost too good to be true yelp reviews, and the fact they have a modern appearance. On my first visit, my dog was due for her vaccinations so i called her prior vet asking for her records to be sent over. When i arrived to my appointment, I was informed they were unable to find the faxed records. Not a big deal, just have them resend. I then am told that my pup can get most of her required vaccines, just not the rabies, they need the record of when she last received it. They tell me this is not a big deal, i can reschedule once the records are received. I talk to my old vet who say they have record of sending the fax but that they are happy to resend. I then reschedule and bring my dog back to get her rabies vaccine several weeks later. They end up charging me for ANOTHER physical exam in addition to the one she had just had less than a month prior. Ok, fine, whatever, I'll deal with it. Fast forward to my next interaction with them. My dog has a paw injury that has clearly gotten infected. She cannot walk on the paw. I call Boulevard on a Thursday AM and am informed they are unable to fit me in until the following week. I then ask if i could speak with a Dr over the phone to get some preliminary recs. I do not receive a phone call back until lunchtime the following day. Meanwhile, I've found another vet who was able to squeeze me in that same day and prescribe a course of antibiotics during a 10 minute visit. All of that, despite the fact that my dog had never been seen there before. Today was the final straw. I took my dog in for a routine nail trim. Very fast, efficient. We were in and out in under 3 minutes. I am then informed this service costs $39. I have gotten my dogs nails trimmed at several other vets in the area and have never payed close to this much ($16 seems pretty standard at the vet, kriser's will do it for $10). Overall, I have been extremely unimpressed by this facility. Sure it looks pretty but they have turned out to be the opposite of convenient as well as overpriced. Worst of all, they do not seem to feel any sense of responsibility towards helping out their patients in times of need. As a physician myself, I can say I have NEVER taken more than 24 hours to call back an acutely ill patient and I wish these doctors felt the same sense of responsibility towards their canine patients. To top it all off, the waiting room has been completely empty every time I've been there. Where are all these people who are writing 5 star yelp reviews?! read more

I can't say enough good things about our experience with Boulevard Vet! When one of our beloved pugs had intestinal issues, we tried to get in to see our long time vet, but were told they couldn't see us until the next day. That seemed like a lifetime to wait considering our pup was in pain. We called Boulevard vet and we got an appointment within a couple hours even though they had never seen our dog before! It turned out to be a urinary infection, but Dr. Geisler made sure they were very thorough in their examination...taking samples and an x-ray. They explained everything they were doing and gave us different courses of action to choose for treatment. We were told the cost for each option and which treatment would work best for our pet. The staff are knowledgable and friendly. Because of the awesome experience we had at Boulevard and with Dr. Geisler, we will be bringing all of our pets here from now on! read more

I had only been going to Boulevard for a year. My dog was 15. Today I had to make the painful decision to put her to sleep. She had renal failure. From Julie at the front desk who immediately put us in a room to the other employees, everyone was so kind. Dr.Dylan could not have been kinder, or more patient or compassionate. This was my first pet. Dr Dylan explained every thing that he would do and what would happen. My dog died very peacefully in my arms. Everyone in the office could not have done anything else to help me. They did so much to make a hard situation as easy as possible. Prior to this experience they were always so nice and and helpful when I had to take her in for visits. read more

Best ever! Efficient. Clean and spacious facility (doesn't smell like dirty dog). Attentive service. No waiting. Great follow up. Competitive fees. Dr. D. Listens. Great bedside manner. Nicest staff. From the minute I walked in, to the minute I left, I was 100% satisfied. My kitty has some some urinary problems the past few days, and figured I needed to get her in to the Vet ASAP. Since I live a block away, I figured I'd give Boulevard a shot. I walked in without an appointment, and the staff was eager to accommodate me (especially since It was right at opening). Dylan hopped right in the room after a VERY nice nurse checked all of her basics, and really took his time, answered my questions, shared his knowledge, etc. In the best way possible, I hope we won't be back for another year, but if we have to, I know where to go. Still awaiting the urinalysis results... wish us luck :( read more

Dr. Dylan has been our Boston's vet over the last few years, and has been beyond caring and helpful. Even when we moved across the country, he made himself available for consults as needed. He was also our savior when it came to my parents' lab who had a urinary tract infection which turned to emergency status quickly. He has always given us great information, and has never led us astray. We went through several vets prior and wish we would have found him sooner! Our Boston Terrier can be a rather bitchy little beast at times, and tends to get really edgy and scared around males. Dr. D has such an incredibly calm bedside demeanor which subsequently keeps her calm and happy to oblige through the sometimes not-so-fun process at the vet. Not to mention, he has kept us calm in moments of panic and emergency. We've never felt like we got anything less than the best service from him - he will never misguide you. We only wish that we lived closer to take advantage of this amazing looking clinic, and knowledgeable vet (not to mention nice to look at ladies). read more

I have to admit I was initially very satisfied with my experience at Boulevard Veterinary. I recently adopted a dog in August and setup an appointment with Boulevard given their proximity to my home and positive online reviews. Our initial exam went well, we ran a full exam, did some vaccinations, etc. I mentioned to the vet that my dog had recently undergone a spay and that the incision site seemed a bit irritated with minor swelling. She reassured me that the wound had healed, but that a "knot" still remained. She continued however saying everything should finish healing up fine. Believing everything was in order, my dog and I went on our way. However, fast forward 3 weeks and the minor swelling continued. Eventually a boil formed near it, and given the proximity to the initial incision I believed it could be related to the spay swelling. Now three weeks later and i'm back in the office again, discussing this incision again. This was the only reason we visited that day, both the vet assistant and vet came in and did their diagnosis. The whole appointment must have taken only 5 minutes. This time I have a different vet's help and he determines after viewing that boil and incision that my dog should have a cone and antibacterial meds. This came to me as a relief and I was glad to have a plan toward healing my dog's wounds. My experience and the medical advice given on the 2nd visit was satisfactory. My problem came with the bill, I noticed that I had been charged another $60 for another "comprehensive medical exam". The same medical exam that I was charged for on my first visit. I'm happy to pay for the antibiotics and cone, these are both things that were needed. However to be charged for another examination, after my first "comprehensive medical exam" failed to catch these issues... Overall I leave Boulevard Veterinary with 3 stars. While I've had pleasant experiences with the staff and veterinarians alike, and left each visit with some great advice. I don't believe their patients should be paying twice for it. read more

After seeing all of these 5 star reviews I jumped on setting up an appointment for my 11 year old lab mix & his teeth that were declining in health. We anxiously waited in their beautiful lobby together. I was excited to start with a new vet after a slowly declining level of satisfaction with experiences involving our regular vet. A veterinarian's assistant looked my old pup over & informed me that they "loved" dental cases in their office bc it was something that they specialized in. I was a little put off by the overzealousness of the tech but shrugged it off excited to get my old man's stinky breath finally taken care of. I was then introduced to the vet and mentioned that I'd like to get things squared away after asking her a few questions. My whole objective of coming to them was to get my pup great service, help & care at a clean facility for a decent price. You better believe that I was almost knocked out of my chair when I saw the final sticker price! No wonder why they "love" dental cases! I got a PRE surgery care estimate of approximately $589 (medicines & special accommodations...I thought that was the total fyi and was ready to do it but...) then I got the actual cleaning & extraction bill for about another $1,100!! WOOF!!! And I mean WOOF!!! She was very quick to hand me a veterinary credit card application & I 'bout fainted. That's almost double to triple the average price for these services. I jumped on her suggestion for antibiotics for my grandpa puppy so that he'd feel a bit better in the mean time & he's definitely smells a lot better and has perked up quite a bit. You get what you pay for and he is elderly so my thorough search will continue for a doctor that can safely attend to his needs at a bit more fair price. I left pseudo heart broken because I was so falling for the facilities and the kind staff. 3 stars for the pricing and getting my hopes up but adding another star for the free treats & wonderfully kind staff. *Update: I found a Veterinarian in Indiana near my alma mater that took care of both of my dog's tooth issues (cleaning & 2 extractions for the 10 yr old & 8 extractions for the 11 year old) for around $850. Each pup is healthy happy & a-ok! I will stay local for regular check ups though. read more

There are some real positives about BLVD, they are conveniently close and there's no question that the vets are excellent. The inflated prices and upsell recommendations are something to manage but with our dog who requires monthly treatments, it was still a no brainer to go to BLVD. Sadly, the customer experience has declined over the past year. There is a rude receptionist I frequently need to deal with when scheduling appointments, who gives off this attitude of being very overwhelmed and that us paying customers are an annoyance. She is very hard to tolerate. Beyond that, the turnaround time for anything is well beyond what they say it will be and last time I was in there they were so late for my appointment I had to walk out. No apologies or any concern about the disruption to our day. It's just not a customer centric business and those crazy prices get tiring when you have to deal with the same crap every time. read more

1st I don't leave reviews ever... so here it goes. We moved about a mile and a half from Boulevard Vet in Logan Square back in 2012 and after a lot of research and personal reviews I took my girl Kitty to Boulevard vet. From day 1 they made me feel at home and more importantly or impressively Kitty who normally hated every one but me or her dad immediately befriended every vet and/or tech on her visits. She was diagnosed with diabetes just about 2 years ago. And they made us both so very comfortable especially me since I was the one who hated needles yet had to now give her shots twice a day. We both always felt comfortable in their hands and for that I will forever be grateful. We just recently had to say goodbye to our sweet Kitty as she was a senior cat, her health rapidly declined and we are still grieving. With COVID we decided to have her out to peace in our home and I just recently notified Boulevard Vet of her passing. I never would expected a very sweet and heartfelt card to come in the mail with sympathy for our loss.... I am forever grateful I trusted Kittys health with her Doc's and Vet Tech's at Boulevard vet... highly recommend everyone to bring their fur babies here! read more

I've been going to Boulevard Veterinary Logan Square for close to two years and have been happy with their service until recently. Overarchingly, their vets appear to be qualified. I struggle because it can take 1-2 weeks to get an appointment even when my dog is showing signs of an infection that should be treated. It doesn't seem like they've put any limits on accepting new clients and, as a result, risk losing all of their recurring clients like me. Also, they are having trouble determining the root cause of an issue my dog has been having for 9 months. I won't know if this is unique until I go see another vet, which I will be doing in hopes of finding a place that can get us in quicker. read more

I recently moved to Logan Square and was looking for a new nearby vet. I have been trying to get an appointment for my dog that doesn't require me taking off work for two weeks. Good luck! They are booked during non work hours for at least a week and a half in advance. What does this mean? If your dog has a non emergency medical condition you have two options if Boulevard is your vet. One, take your dog to an emergency room and wait for hours and pay hundreds of dollars for something that is a non emergency. Or two, schedule your appointment with Boulevard and hope your dog's condition doesn't worsen over the next week and half to two weeks because that's the soonest appointment you could get. I have had three vets so far with my dog. When something small comes up it has never been an issue getting an appointment within 3-5 days for a quick check up. I could never have Boulevard be my primary vet service as the anxiety of knowing that my dog's minor medical problems will go unexamined for over a week and half is too much. To be fair, I have never had an appointment here and the receptionists on the phone have been lovely. But if you want a vet that you can rely on to check on your animal for minor medical problems in a timely manner this is not the place for you. This seems like the type of vet you take your animal for routine shots, vaccines etc. when you can plan your visits months in advance. I was with Wicker Park Vet for over two years, never had an issue like this once. Guess I'll have to just make the longer drive so I can have after-work appointment reliability for my little pooch. read more

I want to let people know that I NEVER leave bad reviews but this situation was uncalled for. The staff was incredibly rude and who they do not seem like they care about their animals whatsoever or their well being. We have been coming here for over 2 years. Never have missed an appointment or arrived late. I booked an appointment and the lady confirmed two times that the appointment was for 3:45pm and immediately added to my calendar on my phone. I received a call at 2:53pm from the staff and they informed me I was late to my appointment rudely. I explained the time they had told me and asked if I could still come. They put me on hold and finally said if you can get there by 3pm it should be fine. We walked into the door at 3:02pm and the lady with black short hair rudely told me I couldn't be seen since it was 2 mins after arrival. I explained that my dog was heavily medicated to see the doctor due his anxiety and was not feeling well. They spoke to the doctor and said he could not be seen due to the fact that I was running late. I coUld not believe they would send me home for walking in 2 mins late after keeping me on hold and getting my appointment time incorrect. We will not be coming back to Boulevard Vet because they do not treat the animals or owners with respect. read more
