And yet, Valentino went above and beyond any technician I have experienced and repaired broken hardware, springs, wood, etc. He spent twice the time we all expected and would not leave until everything was in perfect working order. Richard gave me an appointment same day, was a bit late but let me know he was on his way (Bay Area traffic what are ya gonna do?) I've been having trouble with the door sometimes not going down intermittently - he recalibrated it, made an adjustment, sprayed some lubricant , and we will just wait and see. There is a chance that there is a problem with the logic board- 40% or so - hopefully not - it's less than 6 years old. This review is for the purchase and installation of 2 new garage doors and a motor. My prior garage doors were still operating well but they appeared outdated so this project was not an emergency and I had all of the time in the world to shop around. I had my garage doors for over 20 plus years and decided that it was time to replace them with something more modern. The quote Blvd Garage Doors provided was the cheapest. But price aside, everyone I dealt with at this company was not only courteous but efficient. In between dealing with Rachel, Josh and Jonathan, the coordination from them could not have been better. I realized I never had to repeat myself at anytime. Everything I told Josh was relayed to both Rachel and Jonathan. After one month, the garage doors were ready and the installation took 2 days to complete. If I were to be picky, I would say that there were bits of debris left inside the garage including some metal brackets, bolts, nails and screws. A disturbing cracking sound repeatedly occurred when closing the garage door. Although it was not an urgent matter, I worried because anything could go wrong after that. Searching through garage door services, I realized there are 3 different types of services on the market. They are: 1) specializing in installing new garage doors but do not gear into fixing; 2) specializing in solving issues but pricy; 3) specializing in fixing and fair pricing. They're all quality services; however, my garage problem was so minor that all I cared about was getting excellent service at an affordable cost. I picked BGD because they matched the type 3 solution package. Communication is a breeze. Texts mainly confirm the schedule, en route, and completion. BGD sent Valentino to provide an estimate and work. He showed up earlier than the scheduled time on the "estimate" date and left in about 7 minutes. He was seriously dashing, LOL. Work was also completed in under 30 minutes. On the morning of July 4th I heard a loud bang downstairs and it wasn't the fireworks. The spring on my garage door broke and it was time for replacement. I made several calls to compare pricing and met with two technicians for free estimates. Boulevard offered the best price. Valentino was our technician. He was friendly, knowledgeable and got the job done in 20-30 minutes. We replaced both springs ($99 each), when only one spring broke. It best to replace the both springs at once which should last 5+ years. Valentino inspected our entire garage door and noticed our rollers were on it's last leg and recommended replacement so we got everything done with one service call. He also made adjustments so our garage door closes more quietly. Cost was right under $500 for everything. Overall, I'm very happy with the customer service, quality of work, and price. read more
