Spring on the garage door broke last year and appler guys came and changed that to tube, drums, spring and then convinced me to change the whole motor including liftmaster. It worked for a month or so correctly and then started making lot of noise. I lubricated and noise suppressed to a bearable state, but I knew something is wrong. I was given a warranty for a year, anything happens we will come free of charge and fix. When I called now, I have been quoted $145 for just the visit and diagnose the issue and then another charge for fixing the issue. Never ever go to these guys!! read more

Our garage spring broke and they were first to come to my mind since all their friends recommended them on our ,oval Facebook group. Well our cars were held hostage in our garage and after having us wait all day since I'm sure they were busy they took advantage of us since they wouldn't provide a basic estimate on the phone we were pressured to accept their bid no matter what they offered. Called at 8am they came at 5pm took 1 min said $550.00 for replacing the springs which took them 10 mins for 2 guys . And ohh well throw in a free tune up which took them 2 mins . They were in and out in 17mins, the worst part is I had to hire an,other company to tighten the springs tighter because when the power was out the wife can't lift the door . It's Monday morning, and I try to open the garage door at 5:30am to drive to Bart. No such luck... the garage door suddenly will NOT open. Overall 4.5 out of five, rounded up to 5. Communication was definitely a bonus, I prefer txting overall and he was on time with is estimation window. He seems to be pretty honest and was the first to suggest to modify the bracket which was coming off the door, he suggested he could attach the bracket to part of the steel framing. While it was very cheap in his estimate of this idea, he couldn't offer any warranty on it. To be honest it was very tempting, but it just didn't feel right and with my luck it might have held for a few months before breaking off again and I would be in the same situation. So I did request a brand new door and his estimate and design was very prompt coming in that evening. While this was the first half of the round of bids, I didn't know some of the questions to ask amongst the companies, so I might have missed out on finding a cheaper price or what details might have been missed detail wise. Anyways, he was very descriptive in what he was going to do and how he would build or design the garage door and I appreciated it. In the end, he imo offered a slightly better quality of what he was planning on using for the door, but with better quality, his offer was a tad higher that some of the earlier estimates that I got so far. read more

This is my second review for Eppler Garage Doors. The first review was for a relatively straight forward replacement of springs, rollers and an opener, in a townhouse and that review was 5 Stars. This second review encompasses a MUCH more complex project involving 2 custom roll up doors, with a garage opening that had to be reframed, re-engineered and ultimately installed with incredibly close tolerances, including the addition of side drive motors. Juston and his team have been coordinating with our contractor for over a year on this project and it was just installed yesterday. I'm trying to find a way to click more than 5 Stars, because that is what they deserve! Everything came together perfectly and the installation, inside and out, was absolutely flawless. One additional note, in planning for this project, our contractor originally spec'd out a custom door track system to raise the height of the door, Juston intervened and proposed a perfectly viable solution that saved us $4,400. I love my new garage door! The windows allow a ton of natural light into my normally creepy, dark garage. The light attachment is super bright as well and saved me money installing overhead lighting with a separate contractor. It lights up the entire garage very well. The door is quiet and great quality. I love the WiFi app connection option and the keypad for delivery drop offs. It's also useful if I don't have a remote handy. They gave me two remotes and linked up my two old ones, so now I have 4! I'm also happy to have a battery backup in case of power outages and that the door opens and closes safely, unlike my old door. I also have noticed my garage seems better insulated. She called back a few minutes later and had a service technician on the way. I don't understand their high rating. We had vexing experience enlisting their help to fix a 13 year old, wall mount jackshaft door opener. Our 2-car garage door wouldn't stay closed, opener's set "travel" range kept slipping and door would auto reverse when hitting ground. We contacted Eppler based on help reviews and they came within a couple of days to troubleshoot and fix. After their visit, the problem remained yet they billed us $242. We followed up, and they suggested we tighten bolts on coupler (something they should have checked and done anyway but didn't), and also suggested if problem persisted that we consider replacing unit with overhead chain drive for which they'd email us a quote but verbally guided to over $1100 installed (never received email quote and it's been 5 days). Bottom line, not a good experience and went with another local service provider to address problem. Very disappointing. read more

I was thrilled to find Eppler Garage Doors -- supporting local small businesses is very important to us, and I was happy to also find a veteran owned business. They came and repaired our broken garage door, so it would at least be functional while we waited for the new door to come in. That took over 2 months, but that's out of their control - it's on the manufacturer. The time finally came for install. The guys came and were great. After install was complete, a very large dent was pointed out to us (on the inside of the door - you can't see it from the outside). We were told that we could order another door and that would be installed in another couple of months, or we could take a discount and leave it as is. The door was $5000, and we were offered a $150 discount - suffice to say, we asked for the whole door to be replaced then. $150 seemed a little laughable. The door looks awesome from the outside, and the new motor makes it almost silent, which is amazing. So now we are waiting on the 2nd new garage door to come. It probably won't be here til March, based on our previous wait time. read more
