My wife and I had found a vehicle at Boulder Nissan that we were extremely interested in. I made an appointment for my wife to look at vehicle with the intention of purchasing it on Wednesday at 10:15am. My wife drove up the dealership and was told the vehicle is not available to look and would not be until the next day. We spoke with Boulder Nissan about the inconvenience of traveling to the dealership to be at her appointment that was set and confirmed but would put that aside because we were still interested in purchasing the vehicle. We advised them that because of prior commitments (ie. work and kids events) that would not be able to get back up there until Saturday at 1. So we set another appointment to go back to Boulder Nissan. As we were getting loaded up to leave for our appointment on Saturday they called and said they sold the vehicle that we made every effort to look at and purchase 3 days prior. The incompetency and lack of customer service from Boulder Nissan absolutely baffles me. We could not have had a more negative experience with them. Beware of Scammers! I have an 4 speed automatic Nissan Versa and I needed to have the service department drain and fill new transmission fluid. I went to the parts department at at different dealership (different state) and asked for transmission fluid, and the sales guy told me that instead of paying 100+ dollars for their fluid for the Versa transmission, I can just go to Walmart, AutoZone, or any other store and get the same fluid for the fraction of the price (he recommended me a specific one which I bought). Fast forward, I ended up moving to Colorado and set up an appointment with Service Adviser Kristie Horman at Boulder Nissan (303-443-8110 P, 303-545-5751 F) who told me that the "labor to perform a drain and fill is $73.00." As I arrived for my appointment, she looked at the fluid that I was recommended by the Nissan Dealership parts guy, and said that she cannot and will not do the work on my car with the fluid I have purchased, and that the only way she will accept my car is if I purchase the Nissan Geniuine CVT fluid ($100+) from them. Now I am not a car mechanic myself, but I am very confident (very =100%) that I do not have a CVT in my Versa. We all know that service departments at dealerships are overpriced and scammy, but this is just blatantly so that they did not even try to hide it. read more

These people are easy to deal with when buying a vehicle, once you buy it good luck!! First service was at Boulder Nissan, nothing wrong . Changed the oil and got us out.Couldn't answer a couple questions we had, needed to make another appointment. Tried to get reembursed for our emissions test, it was like they couldn't understand the words coming out of my mouth. We finally gave up and left. Next service was at a dealer in northern Colorado. Break pads were shot, which I'm sure didn't wear out in 3 months.(we're talking 6 months after we bought the car), transmission fluid was black. Never been changed (or checked before the car was sold).Cabin filter and engine air filter never changed (or checked).This vehicle hadn't been serviced in a long time, other than an oil change, and the dealer in NoCo looked it up on the computer to confirm. Hey try that Boulder!!!!!! I wonder how many other people have screwed out of the money for emissions test, which by law, the dealer is to pay for. I'm sure the other stuff we were told was fixed isn't. Mad? Yes I am, Boulder Nissan will not see me again.I'll stay closer to home next time. read more

Well, I needed a non scheduled service done on it and called Ted. Without hesitation, he told me to just bring it in so they could check out the issue.. So, on a Monday morning, I rolled in to the service dept, again, without an appt. and I was promptly and VERY politely greeted and assured that my problem would be quickly taken care of.. Not to my surprise, within about an hour the issue had been addressed, repaired and explained to my satisfaction.. Ted I just wanted to explain to you why when I get the feedback Survey from Nissan your dealership is getting negative marks. I dealt with Jason Bradley when buying my 2013 Nissan Frontier truck and BEFORE buying the truck Jason bent over backwards to answer my questions and helped me in any way to secure the sale. BUT once I signed on the dotted line things changed. He said if I needed anything or had any problems with the truck to call him. Well I went out in my garage one day to find blue colored liguid all over the garage floor by my left front wheel so I immediately called Jason hoping for a solution to my problem which by the way was very disappointing with a brand NEW truck and I hope it is not an indicator of things to come. I might be sorry I bought a NIssan! He said he would take care of it. Later on I received a call from some woman instead of Jason explaining she had talked with service and tried to explain what my problem was but obviously she didn't really understand my problem. I guess Jason was off selling another car or truck. I now had been relegated to low priority from high priority because I had already SIGNED on the dotted line. Jason did not call me back to check if I had solved my problem so obviously he didn't care because I had already BOUGHT the truck. I solved my problem by dealing with Autonation Nissan on 104th and they were quite good about getting my problem solved which turned out to be a defective windshield washer tank which had a leak at the seam. They had to order the tank which requires me to make two visits to the service department to get it fixed. Not a lot of fun after buying a new pickup to avoid problems like this. The point is Jason should have followed through and HELPED me with my problem on my Nissan truck. I am VERY disappointed in your dealership but since Autonation on 104th is closer to me I will be dealing with them if I have any problems with my truck in the future. Even better, was our experience with Matt and John, who made the purchase experience very seamless and even enjoyable. Matt went out of his way to show us all the features of the vehicle and made sure we knew everything was functioning properly. Very happy with sales almost 5 years ago, but disappointed in our current Nissan and the lack of help with it. We purchased our Nissan Pathfinder almost 5 years ago from Boulder Nissan and have had almost all of our service done there. In that time, we have had to have 4 door handles replaced because they keep breaking. The service department damaged our rear gate and had to be replaced when we simply were getting tires installed. We have had a weak battery since a year after they replaced it. And now we are told that we need to replace our transmission for almost $5000 on only a 6 year old vehicle. Apparently that was an issue with the 2013-2014 CVT models but we have gotten no help or assistance in looking at all these issues. Our previous vehicle was a Pathfinder that had almost 300,000 miles on it and we expected to drive the current one that long as well. This will now be our last Pathfinder. We have just been very disappointed with all of this. read more

I have a 2001 Nissan Xterra. A few months ago, it ran into battery and fluid troubles. These guys took care of it in a few hours, and a reasonable price. They also let me know what to look for in the engine compartment to check as a preventative maintenance. Not many will be so thorough on an explanation. Today the window got stuck rolled down. Clunk clunk.... stuck. I am about to go on a road trip, the weather is about to get snowy, so this is bad. I called them up at around 3:40pm, they had me over as soon as the red lights behaved, and they diagnosed and repaired the window with the new part in two hours. Again, they had a reasonable price for the service. Not a rip off at all. The employees are courteous, knowledgeable, and helpful. My Xterra is getting up there in years and miles, so it is no surprise that it will need some work done. The service department has my thumbs up for Nissan work. Nigel Zeid at Boulder Nissan is an object lesson in customer service. We were on vacation in Buena Vista, Colorado, many miles from our home in Austin, Texas. Overhearing our conversation at a restaurant, Nigel introduced himself and asked if we were the owners of the Leaf in town with the Texas license plates. A wonderful conversation ensued during which Nigel encouraged us to explore the great lease buyout incentives Nissan is offering to Leaf drivers. He later assisted us by phone and email numerous times, answering our questions and helping equip us to ask all the right questions when we went into convert our lease to a purchase, back in Austin. Now we've saved on future costs, have a lower payment and an extended warranty, and are working to own a car we love, largely due to the generous assistance of a gentlemen who stood to gain no official credit for his time, other than to help some fellow Leaf owners. I went to Boulder Nissan to look at a 2002 Xterra they had sitting on the lot, I wasn't sure I even wanted to buy a car yet so I was hesitant to even stop. We were approached by Nigel and he offered to let us drive the car with no pressure. After driving it and hearing a few funky sounds he was honest with us and said he would have the mechanic look over the car before we even talked numbers. After having it looked at he said he didn't think that this car would be reliable for our growing family and showed us a 2004 Buick Rendezvous, we were shocked at how much we liked it. We ended up trading the car we currently had for two cars on their lot, Nigel made it so easy and painless to do this and got us in a very good loan with low payment for the remaining balance. The entire staff was amazing and helpful. Two days after we left the Rendezvous started acting up, we took it back to them and found that it needed a new O2 sensor ($500 fix) Terry fixed it with no charge to us, even though we did not get a warranty on the car (one wasn't offered because it was older than a 2007). After he fixed that problem he called me and was very up front and honest with me telling me that the transmission on the Buick was going out and would be giving me problems in the next 6 months or so. He didn't want me driving this car with this problem. We came back to the dealership and Terry had several different options for us instead of the Buick for the same deal. None of the cars worked for us so he is now fixing the Buick (new transmission) at no cost to us. While all of this has been going on he has let me drive one of their other cars so that I would not be without a car again free to me. I hope to get my Buick back in a few days with no more problems. This whole experience has been stressful but has been handled wonderfully by the entire staff. They are all very supportive and friendly. None of them want us walking away unhappy or with an unreliable car (I am 30 weeks pregnant with a 2 year old). Nigel and Terry have been so understanding about our needs and wants and have done everything they can to make sure this deal has been a good one. I will be returning to them in the future when I need a new car or have any friends or family that need one. Thank you Guys!!! read more

I purchased a juke 1 year ago. I love my juke but would no recommend dealing with the Boulder Nissan Dealership. They have been lest than honest in my dealings with them. I had purchase an extended warranty and prepaid service. They do a hard sell at the time you purchase a new vehicle. After a couple of weeks I went back in to cancel and was again convince I needed it. I was also talked into financing a portion and paying it off after several months. Was the only way to get a discount. I payed it off and was insistent on canceling my warranty and prepaid maintenance. It took over a week to have an email returned and that was only after I called. The people in the office have been rude and of no help. It has been over 6 weeks almost 2 months and Boulder Nissan has not sent the refund check. A copy of the title was faxed with verification from sender but not BN. read more

I would award zero stars if I could. I purchased a used X-terra from Tynan's Nissan in Denver where I had a lovely experience with both their sales and service staff, then moved to Boulder and decided to have my truck serviced with Boulder Nissan as well as to inquire with them about the possible purchase of a nissan pick-up. The salesmen (including and especially the manager) were the very definition of slimy salesmen, I would never consent to sell or purchase a vehicle with them. Furthermore, their service staff was disinterested at best, in truth they were miserable, unhelpful and unprofessional. Even a simple oil change here is an extraordinarily long and tiresome process, anything more technical is impossible and my truck left with more problems than it came in with. The staff is totally uncaring and have clearly never heard of the phrase "service with a smile" or believe in keeping the customer happy... you people work in Boulder where the majority of the population is happy and easy-going, why are you so miserable?!?! They even decided not to give my truck the usual complimentary car wash because it was meant to rain that day. Wow. I went so far as to confront the service manager about my discontentment and while he stood there, the very picture of nervous guilt about to wet himself behind the counter, I went through point by point my issues - every one of which he could not answer to and did not even attempt to explain or rectify. When I finally told him I would be taking my business elsewhere if he couldn't give me a reason to stay he merely stared at me, not even so much as an apology. I had been signed up for some sort of deal on future oil changes where my next 2 would be free and even that won't tempt me to go back. I would sooner drive all the way back to Tynan's. Can't say enough good things about these guys. Bought two used cars last weekend. We had a concern about the alternator on one, they replaced it. The check engine light came on the next day, they replaced the starter coil without us having to ask. Have purchased 3 vehicles from them now and they will be doing all the service work on my Xterra from now on as they do on my son's Xterra. After filing a complaint with the BBB I did receive a phone call from the general manager of Boulder Nissan. He apologized for the experience and offered to replace my front brakes and rotors with OEM parts free of charge. I am disappointed it took this route to get that done but I do appreciate and respect them for stepping up and taking care of the issues. Thank you Boulder Nissan PREVIOUS - 8/4/2015 I bought a used 2010 Camaro as far as the initial sale went everything was great our Salesman Mike Newton was awesome to work with gave me a fair price on my trade and worked with me on the purchase price.But there were a few problems with the car, but no big deal because they were willing to list those problems as something they would fix on the "we owe you form"...... Wrong it was a big deal here is what was wrong, TPMS light on, Muffler Rattling, Front Tires need replaced all listed on the we owe you. Then a day in to having the car realize and report to them that the brakes are very noisy I am assured no worries we will take care of it while it's on for tires. 1st visit - come back to pick up car the new tires are on, rear brakes have pads and rotors replaced but the TPMS light is still on and I am told they don't have the right tool and I am told my exhaust rattle is actually in trunk and they won't do anything with that. I take the car home the brakes still squeak bad and I get under the car and find out the rattle is clearly in the muffler. 2nd visit - they reset the TPMS light and tell me the only thing they could do for the brakes were to soak them. I also got a call to say that the rattle is in the muffler which is too expensive so they are not going to fix it (mind you they put on the we owe that they would fix) I had to offer to pay for half of the cost to replace after market mufflers just to get my car fixed to what they already told me they would do. I took the car home and ordered the aftermarket muffkers and guess what an hour in to my first real drive with the car brakes are super noisy again. I immediately email Joey (used car sales manager) and told him I believe the rotars need to be replaced, he emails me back and asked why I thought that so I told him why, then never heard another word about it. 3rd visit - I brought in the car to have the exhaust done and point out to John in Service that the Rotors prob need to be at least turned he tells me the last inspection it went through prob determined they couldn't be turned ( now I'm furious that this wasn't already taken care of). I came back to pick up my car and Joe gives me my check for half the mufflers and tells me that they looked at the brakes and the rotors are still good and that my brakes make a little noise at high speed..... What he doesn't admit or mention is that people inside the bldg can hear me come to a slow stop because they are so loud then. All in all I am furious and very disappointed that I am having to pay half the cost to fix something they said they would do and now I am going to have to put out more money to take care of the front brakes that should have been caught and repaired on a used car inspection prior to being sold. Above the 2k I put down on the car I am forking out $800 just to pay half the muffler and to do the front brakes the right way my self. Will never recommend this place very unhappy!! read more

I bought a car from someone that had service done there....and even though it wasn't a Nissan I kept them as my go -to for service and loved them. In the past few years though I have had major problems....like forgetting to tighten the oil pan on an oil change right before a road trip....luckily my boyfriend diligently checks oil...although it was 2000 miles and lots of oil before we could figure out what was going on. Plus they did the wrong oil....and they never give the discount we are promised for the "club".....over and over it is "forgotten". I went in for another pre-trip once over and was given an oil change and a clean bill of health and after specifically asking them to check the wipers.....sure enough the wipers were leaving a big area missed...right in front of the drivers window. I am a loyal customer but have 3 years of visits problems I finally had to switch. Now my new services have found damage done that could have easily been avoided if things had really been checked when I requested. read more

purchased a new nissan murano from them a few years back with an extended warranty. they really pushed this warranty and spent a long time on the value of the refund clause in case the warranty was not used. in short, boulder nissan never submitted the paperwork for the warranty and later accused me of lying about the warranty purchase ever happening. i guess they felt the upside of scamming me for a few thousand dollars was worth losing a customer for life. their replies here seem so magnanimous. too bad the energy directed on social media damage-control isn't invested up-front on actual customer experience. read more

purchased used vehicle from here. the salesmen were pretty good for the most part. the problem was the "service" on the car. i advised them that the transmission was jumpy when slipping into drive and reverse. they looked at it said that was normal. they lubricated front shocks/struts plastic piece (don't know name) as their attempt to resolve issue. they said front brakes were "ok" i had to take the car to them for service for an issue with the speedometer sticking at 60mph or over. this is a safety issue since i cannot tell how fast i am going. they referred me to the dealer that mfg my car which is fine. they looked at the car and said it needed a new transmission and that this was an ongoing issue so they should've been resolved by them. the shock/strut plastic pieces were one of the worst that they had ever seen. the lubrication was covering up the real problem. i would not want anyone to experience these issues with boulder nissan. i would not recommend buying a used car with them. they do not make any needed repairs they only mask what the real issue is. beware of boulder nissan for used cars!!! would not recommend them to anybody!!! read more
