I needed to get a suit let out and came here. They were very friendly and had an excellent handle on giving every customer the attention they needed (I had come on my lunch break, so they were very busy at the time). There was a slight snafu where the suit wound up not being ready at the time I was told due to the guy writing down the wrong date on his side of the call tag, but when it happened, he was very apologetic and had it ready that evening. Anyone can make a mistake, but they went above and beyond in making it right, and the suit fits perfectly again. read more

Amazing Job!!!! Ive gotten multiple things altered and they do a great job!!!! super happy with my clothes now

I was desperate for a last minute miracle on my beaded wedding gown. They did some seriously creative and quality work in a very short time and my dress looked beautiful! They were a bit pricey, but the high quality tailoring was exactly what I needed! read more

Super friendly on the phone and willing to alter a sequin, lined, jumpsuit in a few days in time for New Year's Eve! While being fitted, he managed 2 other customers coming in as well and then a 3rd, all treated very well & in and out as quickly as possible. During the fitting he took the time to find just what I wanted in terms of length, the top straps and even the torso area. read more

This guy is NOT professional AT ALL! It deserves no stars. I went here to get specific measurements needed for my wedding dress. I didn't know what to expect but I thought a woman would at least be the one taking them and maybe in a back room. He had me standing in the middle of the store in my bra, and at one point asked me to show him where my nipples were for a measurement that was not even needed. During this, a girl came in to pick something up and he was frantic trying to find it and explain to her it wasn't there and to go look through the racks herself. All around extremely unprofessional, and uncomfortable. In the end the dress company informed me that several of the measurements could not possibly be right and that I needed to get them retaken. I went somewhere else and got the correct measurements, and when called to speak with a manager and explain why I felt I should get a refund, the "manager" was the same guy. He was very rude to me about the entire thing and proceeded to tell me I wasted HIS time and that he would not refund me or do anything to make it right. Not impressed by anything having to do with this company. read more

While they may cost a little more than your average place...they do a great job. While in my search for a place to take a few items I found that most of the dry cleaner owners take their items needing tailoring to Boulder Custom Tailoring. I've taken in several items and they have all turned out great. read more

My husband needed last minute tailoring on a new suit before a business trip and we needed it the same day. We didn't get the suit to them until 2:30pm on a Saturday. They had it properly tailored by 4:30pm. I was very impressed by the turnaround and also the great service while in the store. Definitely will return. read more

My dress was ready on time and the alterations were perfect Everyone is friendly. They fix what you ask them to and will also suggest other things in case you didn't think of it yourself. But they don't push you to get more alterations than you need or want. I'll definitely be returning if I need something else altered in the future! read more

Worst bridal rip off ever known!!! Not only do they quote you a COMPLETELY different price than they ever intend on charging you, but they do not honor each others different quotes. My father has gone to this place for a while and they still ripped us off. $45 quote turned in to a $600 quote which he "discounted" to $500 and upon learning his sons quote of $45, his response was " I'm sorry but he does not know what he's saying". Terrible business, calling BBB when I'm back from my honeymoon and never going back. Just be careful. read more

I just returned from Boulder Custom Tailoring for the last time. I took in a jacket for a simple patch job and reapplication of a button. Since i did not need the jacket back in a hurry i allowed a full weeks time for the job. When i returned on saturday, a date they decided upon, the jacket hadnt been moved from where i watched them hang it the week prior. They apologized and asked that i come back in today. Sure enough i returned to see my jacket still hanging in the same place! Once again they apologized and insisted that i wait while they finally tailor my jacket after a week and a half of sitting on a hanger. So I held my tongue and allowed them to do their job. I waited a week and a half for a job that took 15 minutes AND was still charged full price! They explained that they are short staffed which i understand, but I dont see how thats my problem. Needless to say i will not be going back and i hope you do the same. read more

My experience with Boulder Custom Tailoring was one of shoddy work, which I brought to their attention, to be met by an unapologetic employee with a chip on his shoulder. Completely unprofessional service and unwillingness to even talk about the problem. He raised his voice at me, told me if I didn't like the work to not come back, then turned his back and walked away from me. This is a Yelp review, and a low one, so you're probably thinking I had a part in this and you're getting one side of the story. In fact I kept my voice low, words direct and calm, and addressed them as adults, which was met by aggressive posturing, raising of his voice, and an unwillingness to continue the conversation. The work on two torn pairs of jeans was shoddy and amateur - unmatched thread color overlayed on hanging white threads - on blue denim - and they tried to say it was fashionable when I told them it looked terrible. I'm having it fixed by another tailor who gasped when I showed them what I got back from BCT. Caveat Emptor. Hey guys, I tried to talk about it, but when I'm being yelled at by the employees I don't think there's much I can do other than try to warn others via Yelp. read more

We took a suit to this alterations store. When we went to pick it up a week later, only some of the things they were supposed to fix were done. The owner was really nice upon pickup, but only part of the work was done and he said there was no way to do some of the items that we needed and were promised to us. He said they could not alter the shoulder and there was no way to fix the chest gaping on the suit coat. I wasn't there for the item drop off so I couldn't be sure what exactly was said, but it sounds like there was some misunderstanding on my fiance's part. But they did say they would fix the shoulders and that they would move the button. neither of those items was completed. and yet, they still made us pay for them! The price was over $130! And we still had to buy a new suit. I called back to discuss how expensive the charge was as it seems completely out of line with the industry for the work that was completed. The man I spoke to was NOT nice. I told him that I understood that there was some misunderstanding, but that doesn't account for the astronomical fee for 1/2 the work (we knew if the shoulders and chest were altered it would have been expensive). The son then claimed that they did alter the shoulder, although the father said they couldn't and DID NOT. They also didn't alter the button for the jacket. He asked me what I wanted and I said that I would like a partial refund. after telling him I felt like 1/2 refund was fair considering he didn't alter the shoulders or closure and I couldn't detect any leg tapering (although I didn't ask for a refund for this), he changed his mind and said he wouldn't give a refund at all and he called my fiance a liar. He did offer me store credit, but how can I go back to a store that charges for work not complete, goes back and forth on what was done/can be done and is unprofessional. I will not go back to this alterations store again and I warn others about doing so. read more

Have used them ever since I moved here in 2004 and they get everything right, great results. Pants, coats, suits, all went well. I like the people here; they are very personable as well as reliable, and give you valuable input on different ways to tailor a garment and how it will turn out, are very aware of the customer preference. read more

Great service! These guys fixed a suit another alterations shop messed up. They cost more but the suit fit perfectly when they had finished. They also took in a dress shirt which I think I'll be doing to all of my shirts from now on. read more

I've used Boulder Custom Tailoring for all my pant leg length adjustments over the past 2-3 years and have always been impressed with the friendliness, the quick turn around, and the quality. Last week I had to bring in a pair of new pants for quick alteration (same day) for a wedding. Same great service and not a problem to get them done that day even though the person in front of me had the same request. Additionally only a minor rush charge. read more

Took in a dress for graduation and some slacks to be shortened. They are very friendly, family operated and they do a good job. They are pricier than other places, but I was happy with my experience(s). read more

A year ago I decided my ski jacket needed a new zipper. I went to Boulder Custom Tailoring and asked how much it would cost. The tailor put on magnifying glasses, tried the zipper, took some pliers, and adjusted the slider. He handed it back to me and said "no charge." The jacket zipper is still working well a year later. read more
