We arrived to the shop at 5:30 am, yes early but worth the early start especially if it is going to be hot. We were paddling down the river by 7 am. We stopped at many natural hot springs and caves along the way. Unfortunately we did the tour on a very windy day so kayaking was definitely a workout! Our guide was great and full of knowledge. He tried to provide us breaks throughout and tips for avoiding the most windy part of the river. Lunch, snacks and water were all provided and much so needed after paddling for so long against the wind. We ended our day around 3-3:30 and had roughly a 30 minute drive back to the shop. We had a great time and we will be recommending this tour to our friends visiting the Las Vegas area although our arms were SUPER sore the next day.

They provided a large trailer with ample shelves and space to put are gear onto. A safety speech was also given. This company has special authorization to enter the Hoover Dam property and take people down to launch from the entrance of the Hoover Dam. They instructed you to move quickly as there was a time limit for getting everyone/everything Into the water and away from the area. The next day, they were prompt with their pick up and helped us load our gear back onto the trailer. I would definitely use this company again and recommend them to others.

Then drove to the marina since I haven't visited in many years. I'm a Nevada resident since 1990 and enjoyed many aspects of the lake. Unfortunately the water level is declining and I pray for better days. The Marina was quiet on a Friday and took a walk on the bridge to the boat docks. There was a sign at the entrance of the cafe and the Friday special after 5pm was a "fish fry" for $5.95 hmmm? Interesting, so I gave it a try. Surprisingly delicious and even the little cup of coleslaw was really good. Prompt and friendly service in a cozy little cafe. Overall a good spontaneous visit to a familiar venue and I will be back more often.

Absolutely terrible! Now I need a new motor!!! DO NOT TRUST!!!…read moreI brought my (new to me) boat in for them to fully check out and prep it for the season. First they said there was gas in the oil and that I needed to rebuild the carburator.. I don't know boat motors that well, but I figured a rebuild wouldn't hurt, so fine. They put in two off-brand batteries and made me buy them (I would've bought my own). Greasy foot prints all over the seats that I had just fully cleaned. I fully fueled the boat up and put it in at Cottonwood Cove. Gas gage wasn't working (later learned they riged a mini bottle to the sender, which in no way worked). Boat struggled, but made it to Willow Beach, where it stopped running, and wouldn't restart. Batterys failed and wouldn't charge. Stranded... with truck/traailer down river. Next day... new battery, turned over but still wouldn't start, even with starting fluid. Took it to someone else... fuel in oil again, and water in the cylindars, lame bottle thing in fuel sender float. Motor is done and needs to be replaced, likely the exhaust manifolds too.

Kayaked out to Emerald Cave on Lake Mead and it was absolutely beautiful. You paddle into these…read morelittle caves and the water is this incredible emerald green -- pictures don't do it justice. You can even see the old scaffolding structures from when they were building Hoover Dam, which is really cool. Such a unique experience, totally worth the paddle out.

I learned that it is protected by the coast guards. I guess one way to think of this place is like a national forest. Entrance/parking fee to get in and it is well protected. I probably only saw one piece of trash through the entire lake cruise duration. They truly do their best to keep this place nice and clean. The lake was peaceful and beautiful. As another user already mentioned, even though the water line is decreased over the years, the lake remains a beautiful sight to see. This was my first time here and truly, getting a break from the dry desert was definitely a treat.

We have a small tow car for our RV & when we arrive at a location, the "toad" battery was ALWAYS dead & needed a jump. We took it to several places, paid our money, only to take it out again & bang, DEAD battery. We took it into BC RV & had them check it over. Within a few minutes Ryan told us, "You have some wires crossed. I'll have it fixed in a couple hours." Okay, I've never heard about the wires being crossed, but I've been told "I'll have it fixed." Several times, only to be disappointed. Then the Virus arrived in full force. Places closed, folks had to stay at home. Vacation plans were rescheduled or scrapped all together. Our long distance RV plans were put on the back burner. But now, we're out again. When we arrived at our destination, the car started right up. Thank you Ryan! BC RV has fixed our water heater, (showing me an electric heater I didn't know we had! I thought we only had a propane heater) & have worked on our AC & several other jobs. Their location is a bit cramped, be careful pulling in. Ryan & the folks at BC RV are our go to RV repair shop. And owning a RV I'm sure I'll be back. Thank you all.
