The first time it happened I tought it was just a mistake and an old bread slipped but last week I went over and bought 10 conchitas. When I got home I realized some were fresh and soft and I had about 5 very rough, stale and dry. I was very upset because when comparing both conchas you could definitely tell they were not all fresh. I called to see if I could go in and have them swap for fresh ones (same day of purchase). The lady that answered asked me if I felt them before taking them home to make sure they were soft, which felt silly honestly. No one should have to squish conchitas to make sure they are fresh. Anyway, long story short she said she didn't know if she could swap them so to wait for a phone call, later in the day. I was never called back. I was very upset because with that inconsistency in the bread I wonder if I will get fresh or older bread when I go pick up bread. That type of things make people go elsewhere. It's not so much about the money I spent on the conchitas, it's about not getting them swapped, since it seems unfair for me to buy new ones again to get fresher conchas.

The bakery is smaller, but the flavor and freshness of the baked goods are huge. The environment is approachable. Some standout pastries I tried included the churro, dulce de leche croissant and a cinnamon sugar muffin. You can really tell these goods are baked with love and intention- each pastry was fluffy, tender and sweet. I recommend heating them up at home!

This was my second time getting the focaccia, and I had honestly been thinking about it since my last visit, it's that good. It's incredibly fresh, perfectly doughy, and topped with a great variety of options. I tried the mushroom and the artichoke, and both were delicious. You can order half or full orders and they will cut it up into slices if desired. They also pre-order for pickup, which is super convenient. Overall, some of the best focaccia I've found in the Bay Area. I highly recommend!

I made an order via Toast to be picked up on Saturday. Unfortunately, there was a hiccup in Toast so my order was not fulfilled when I got there at 10. Double unfortunate, some of the items I ordered were already sold out! Who I can assume is the owner was profusely apologetic about the hiccup and we proceeded to make do with what they had in stock. I got two green onion and one mushroom foccacia, two bags of biscotti, a pesto tomatoes croissant, a lemon and cheese danish and a raspberry and cheese danish. The foccacia were good! I toasted it this morning and the bottoms were crunchy. They do not skimp on the toppings. The toppings also did not all out. I definitely preferred the green onion, it was simply divine. I ate the lemon and cream cheese danish yesterday. That was yummy so we're the biscottis. They are sort and ginormous not the break your teeth hard ones at Costco. Service was excellent. Bakery is clean but this is take out only. They are located in the back of Grand Ave. Small storefront so you may miss it if you're driving by. Definitely give them a try!

It's a very tiny spot that's easy to miss, but wow, there are plenty of colorful flowers just outside the front door. We decided to check it out and yes, there's no place to sit inside. Order at the counter for takeout. They have a bit of regular buns as well as pies and other western style buns. They sell whole fruit cakes too. 8-inch round mango cake was $39. Chinese buns prices hovering around $3 were as pricey as the ones found in the South Bay Area/San Jose. Upkeep isn't the best though/more outdated. We purchased a cocktail bun/a mushroom & cheese bun/a ham & cheese/a hot dog bun/and a coconut pineapple bun. The 5-pieces were decent in size, but were stuffed into two paper bags for us which was quite different than what we expected. Buns made the paper bags very oily. We should have asked for a small box or something. They have good selections, but taste is average and doesn't stand out. Whole cakes look tempting though. Cashier needs to smile more. Overall, it's a tiny bakery for convenience. Not bad nor great here. I would look around for better options elsewhere.

I got the BLT with kettle chips, an iced latte & of course the bread pudding. Their pastries & bread are made in-house which I love. BLT was filling & I had to take half of it home bc their bread pudding was massive, especially for 1 person. The whip cream is fresh & the bread pudding is crispy & soft in the right spots. It was also nice & warm. I ate the whole thing & have no regrets. The place is cute! There's a small parking garage - if you go on IG, there's a video that shows you how to get there. There's also street parking. I was able to find a seat in the bar to eat & work. If you order in, you'll do it through a QR code on your table. You can also ask for a hard copy of the menu. I just sent my bestie & hubby the pics of my food & will definitely bring them next time. I can't wait to go again & try more of their food & drinks.

We…read morecame around 11:30 a.m. on a Saturday and the place was empty, except for a friendly guy working there (I think he may be the owner). He explains there aren't many flavors left because most of his business is through online orders. We asked him to help us pick out 4 cupcakes, and he was pretty chatty about them all. After we picked out our 4 cupcakes, he gave us one for free (wow - thanks so much). That took the sting out of $6 cupcakes. The place is a bakery and store front, but no seating. They have cupcakes, mochi donuts, savory muffins, and various drinks. Their baked good are made with rice flour and coconut milk, so their cupcakes are light and moist. They kinda have a mochi-coconut flavor, but not the sticky mochi texture. Most of their cupcakes have some type of filling inside, which adds to the moistness. All their flavors are really creative, and some of the ones we got today I don't even see on their online menu. The instructions say best served heated for a few seconds, but I found the cream gets too melty. It tastes fine without heating imo. What we got: + Ube cookies and cream - ube and coconut forward. Yum. + Guava - this had a dollop guava jam on top and some squirted inside too. The guava adds just the perfect bit of tartness to the cupcake. + Nutella - there's a dollop of nutella on top that fills part of cupcake inside. + Churro Biscoff - pretty gooey inside, which may be due to heating it a few seconds. Still very yummy. It's a good thing I don't live close to one of these stores or I'd be here every day. I prefer these to Sprinkles cupcakes for the same price point.

And no dozen pricing is disheartening. p.s. another customer asked if the Milbrae location might have other flavors or bites, and he said probably they have the same thing. So he either is an expert and knows exactly what the other location has, just talked to them recently and ask about their inventory, or is just bs'ing.

The cake flavors are amazing, and I love that they have mini cupcakes of such a variety of flavors. But they are also one of the most talented cake artists. I contacted them on whim last year when my default baker went out of business and I needed a cake for my kids birthday party. It was a Bluey themed party, and they really came through with everything. Sometimes its hard going with someone new, especially when you don't know what to expect. But I knew their cupcakes were amazing so figured it was worth the risk. But they created the most amazing cake that was beautiful, moist and flavorful. This year, we choose a hawaiian theme and then subthemes of a Hawaiian Hello Kitty, Hawaiian Squishmellows, and Hawaiian teenage mutant ninja turtles. It was a challenge to put it all together but they did it and I was so happy with the results! And the cake literally melt in our mouths (the berry flavors, for anyone interested). Everyone has been so easy to work with and I love that they do a consultation to get information on what you are looking for. Highly recommend if looking for a mini sweet treat, or bigger sweet treat. Or any speciality cakes. Oh yea, did I mention they make macaroons and cake pops too!? Literally can't go wrong with anything here.
