Oh, my. Oh, yum. Huuuge dipped berries, caramel apples like on Navy Pier, and dipped pretzels and dipped krispies. I am in love.

They have an endless selection, do incredible gift box options, have seasonal goodies as well, and I felt as though all the prices were fair and reasonable! They have gelato in this shop as well, along with popcorn, hot cocoa, and other offerings like that along the other walls. But their main display is just chocolates upon chocolates, and some seriously unique ones too! The ones I snagged all tasted so delicious and decadent, and I felt like I was able to properly savor them before they melted, which was absolutely wonderful! Given that it was our first time in the shop, the person serving us was so helpful too! She was able to help us find the perfect size box, answer all of our questions, and give great recommendations. What more could you ask for! I would highly recommend getting some goodies from here if you're in the mood for chocolate or need a fun and gorgeous gift idea!

Hand crafted with knowledge and skill, my word it was lovely! My son and I are visiting from the West Coast and the Mocha with Espresso I had was like drinking liquid light and chocolat bliss. We'll be stopping in each day until we leave for home.

Oh no are they permanently closed?!?!…read more Came from a far to get some of their soft tasty not too sweet donuts this Tuesday morning but the handwritten sign on the door says closed, and looking through the window the seating area and counter looks to have been cleaned out. So sad as their products were super tasty with service fast and friendly.

I loved the presentation of the donuts! The display case was empty of apple fritters. However,…read moreI asked if they had any in back, and to my delight, they had some! It was still warm when I got it. It was filled with massive apple chunks. Definitely one of the best fritters I've ever had. It was so thick too! The banana pudding Bismarck was disappointing. The pudding tasted store bought. I wasn't a fan of it. Also, I noticed that their filled doughnuts are cut in half, then the filling is sandwiched between the two donut halves. I have never seen something like that before. Also, the Nilla Wafer cookie pieces were soggy. I know this is to be expected, but I didn't think they'd be that soggy. I was pleasantly surprised to see that this donut shop has the Holland Cream, which is the white cream filling. So many places don't have this. Unfortunately, I was unimpressed with this filling. I felt like it was lacking sweetness. To end on a positive note, I enjoyed the actual donuts. The fillings just need some work. I'd go back again & get more fritters! Plus the service was great.

Fantastic beer selection. Excellent food. Reasonable prices. Single speed checks all the boxes!…read more I've stopped at Single Speed several times when passing through, and always enjoyed the experience. The flatbread is huge--at least two meals' worth--as are the salads. Beer's available in full pours, half pours, and flights, so it's easy to sample a few in one sitting. And don't miss the specials--especially inventive soups. There's plenty of seating options, too--a nice patio, bar stools, and a couple rooms full of tables and booths. Cheers!

There is ample space inside and out, and it's all very open and clean, though the inside dining areas are separated into large rooms, which I think would help with noise control when it's busy. We visited around 7:45 on a Friday evening in August and found it remarkably not crowded, but they have another location in Cedar Falls that probably draws a larger crowd. We were at the Waterloo location, which probably caters to a lot of business people and business travelers during the week. We ordered a lot of food for two people, and it was all excellent, but I rate this cool place four stars because all the food came out of the kitchen at once and we were totally overwhelmed. If it had been paced, I think we could have pulled it off, and as travelers, we couldn't really take leftovers with us to have another day. Our server was extremely helpful and patient helping me understand their beverage selections. I enjoy a good cocktail or a glass of good wine, but my beer tastes are even more limited, but SingleSpeed offered up the perfect solution: the SingleSpeed-a-rita. This is made with their Ring Around the Gose, tequila, agave, and lime juice. That hit the spot on a hot Friday night in Iowa!
