Enjoyable. A starter of French girolles (tomato tartare with Thai coriander, poppy seeds) was basic, hearty, and nice. I enjoyed the razor clams (ginger condiment), but not as much as I would've enjoyed them without the small cubes of ginger. The pork ribs (confit, potato pancake, BBQ juice, sherry vinegar condiment) were rich and sous-vide tender and a complete pleasure on the palate. The pigeon cooked on chest with candied legs (stuffed cabbage with foie gras, roasted fig, pigeon juice) was inelegant to the eye but a delicious, perfect cook. The cabbage was excellent and the foie wrapped inside was a lovely touch. The pear tatin tart (verbena ice cream) reminded me of a dramatic 'apple pie' and it was also very good. The white chocolate cheesecake (roasted dried fruit, candied lime, chocolate sorbet) was also 'dramatic' and quite good. 3.75 stars. read more
