Bouchards is always my favorite go to for fresh pasta, and amazing sauces and I never can leave without some of their cookies.

This place came highly recommended to me on a recent trip to Findlay Market. I just wanted to try something different and was curious about the brown butter sage sauce. I asked one of the employees what he would recommend to go with that sauce and he said normally it would be a ravioli they were out of but he also recommended the spinach noodles with it so I tried those. I asked for whatever size serving would be big enough for two and what I got was more than enough when we made it at home. The dish was super creamy goodness and I just kept coming back to it. They make all their own pasta fresh and it is absolutely worth checking out. I plan on going back and trying more things in the future. read more

Okay, I've only tried several of the bakery items. Cookies and cakes. I really love their carrot cake. It's kind of like a loaf with cream cheese icing, very moist and delicious and not a lot of oddball ingredients that some places like to add to carrot cake. It rivals some of our cities top bakeries. I've have seen and heard good things about the build your own pasta dishes. I look forward to trying them. Also, very well priced menus with good portions. read more

Who would not love this place? For $7, you get to create your own pasta or flatbread, with fresh ingredients ranging from the essentials like tomato to unique additions such as artichoke. I ordered a fettuccine, alfredo-marinara sauce mix with spinach, broccoli, tomato, artichoke, chicken and sausage topped with Asiago cheese. As I looked at my strange request on paper, I wondered if Bouchard would serve the pasta as I requested and then I thought, of course they would! Anything's pastable, after all! When my food arrived, it is by far the best make-your-own pasta I've ever had. Every ingredient was incredibly fresh and cooked perfectly, including the fresh pasta and sauce, which really brought the dish over the top. The sausage was great too, and they are very generous on giving you a fair amount of meat. Why one would eat anywhere else is beyond me, this is THAT good! read more

Stopped in while out of town visiting family to grab a desserts for out get-together. Grabbed a pie, which was fine, but I also ordered 6 filled cannoli, which is what I was most excited about for the night. Paid $25 for a 6 pack of filled cannoli and put them out for everyone. The cannoli were only filled on the ends, and the middles (about an inch, maybe 1.5" of each cannoli) were totally empty. What a disappointment. read more

Hands down the best pasta ever. I do mushroom pasta and with the brown butter sage. Don't forget to pick up your favorite loaf of fresh bread and a side of veggies or fruit for a totally local totally incredible meal. If anyone remembers the long-since-retired 2 for $20 column in one of the local free newspapers - this perfectly fits the bill. And with prep time coming in at under 8 minutes, it cannot be beat. I know they are well known for their fresh pasta, but my husband wanted dessert. So we purchased homemade caramel bar. It was really delicious and rich. Great service. I noticed besides dessert and pasta, they also have a small deli which you can purchase meals to go. I will have to revise my review once we return and get their pasta and other items. read more

This pasta is fantastic. I love picking up a few to go containers of ravioli for easy, fresh, quick meals at home. There is no doubt that their pasta is fresh and made with quality ingredients. They have a lot of great flavor combinations ranging between savory and sweet (fig/mascarpone ravioli is so freaking good). Besides the pasta and sandwiches they always have a variety of delicious desserts. My one complaint is they don't accept the Do Downtown gift cards (despite appearing on participating vendor list). read more

Nestled inside the marvelous Findlay Market. This extremely affordable counter front is a haven of savory and sweet delights. You have a choice of panini, self-designed pasta or salad, and multiple baked goods, all for under $10. I think the paninis were 6 or 7, the pastas were 8, and the salad was 6. I ordered the cuban panini, which came with a sweet cilantro dip and was incredible. The person I was with created their own salad and ordered an Italian style panini. I also got a Cheesecake Bar... it was good, but not mind-blowing. Service was standard for a deli style walk up order. I will most likely visit this place again and create my own pasta dish, they had a top notch selection of toppings, I'll probably get Fettuccine with Alfredo sauce and chicken, onions, spinach... and some other things, I haven't memorized the options yet. But, you can choose your pasta style, sauce, a meat, a cheese, and multiple veggies. You should absolutely check this place out and the other businesses in Findlay. read more

I was at Findlay Market for lunch and had a taste for pasta. I wasn't expecting much from this small place...but WOW, did they impress me! Menu: There were so many options to choose from, I almost got dizzy. You can choose your pasta, sauces and toppings. I ordered the fettuccine with marinara & alfredo sauces. For toppings, I ordered the entire gambit - olives, mushrooms, artichoke heart and many other ones. Food: The pasta was cooked in front of me, along with the sauces and toppings. Everything tasted great and the portion was so big, I couldn't finish it. (That's a big feat for me.) Atmosphere: Bouchard's is located inside Findlay Market, so seating was limited. However, I was able to find a seat among the noisy area. Service: The people behind the counter were friendly and knowledgeable. They answered my questions about ordering and toppings. My food was served with a smile...and that means a lot in my book. Summary: I HIGHLY recommend this place when you have a pasta craving, or just want something the way you want it. Delicious pasta (I'll probably come here every time I want pasta now), and Chris (guy at the counter) was nice enough to cook me my order even though I arrived after their 5pm cut-off when I told him I went to the market specifically to try their pasta. Love it! Cool location, very friendly staff, good selection of ingredients for design-your-own pizza. Unlimited toppings! Plus it's done quickly and you get a lot of food for the money. Gourmet, inexpensive homemade pasta, flatbread, and panini stand in the amazing Findlay Market. Great options for prepared food (only $8 for a meal) and fresh to go food to cook on your own. I opted for the basil pesto sauce ($5), pappardelle and whole wheat spaghetti to go (sold by quantity starting at $2 for the smallest portion). I also ordered the white chocolate bread pudding ($5). All were delicious--next time, I'll have to try eating there, as well as taste more of the sauce (such as the arrabbiata red sauce) and dessert selections (such as the sprinkles sugar cookie and chess square). read more

$7 can buy you a lot of meals these days. You could purchase a $5 Subway footlong with a bag of Doritos and talk about how healthy you are for eating fresh. You could have it your way at Burger King and get a Whopper Value Meal with a side of gross. You could head for the border and order up a septet (that means 7 for all you illiterate type) of tacos at Taco Bell. Or you could go to Findlay Market and have a pasta made to order that will seriously change your life (probably not) and change the way you look at pasta (probably definitely). Prior to discovering Bouchard's I was somewhat pasta challenged. As a kid I used to get excited about going to Olive Garden which I now believe to be the worst chain in the world, nay, the universe, because surely intelligent life on other planets can't have food that's worse than Olive Garden. In recent years I've grown accustom to cooking Italian at home using boxed dry pasta and a jar of Prego which isn't too bad if you are poor or have the palate of a tongueless gimp. From time to time I would splurge and go to some high end Italian restaurants and happily drop 20 clams on a perfect plate of pasta. But then I discovered Bouchard's. Simply put, Bouchard's is the shiznit. For $7 you get homemade pasta, homemade sauce and fresh ingredients. And the best part is you get to pick what you want in your pasta by using an order pad and checking off the ingredients you want. Couldn't be simpler and it couldn't taste better. Seriously, to say this is the best pasta I've had in my life feels like I'm doing this place a massive injustice. It's that good! And if that's not enough they sell all their homemade pastas and sauces in jars so you can take it back home to your trailer (or 4 bedroom estate if you're like me) and live like a Northern Italian prince with pasta that only the finest gold and riches can buy. This is the best $7 you can spend at Findlay Market, and probably in all of Cincinnati for a meal. For 7 measly bucks, you get enough food for a large person or two relatively thin adults. For $7, you get as many toppings from the list of 8 or so. And for $7, you get freshly made pasta that you can literally watch as they boil it, mix the toppings in the sauce, and probably even prepping the veggies for later that day on a cutting board. My personal favorite combination is fettuccine alfredo with chicken and bacon, plus roasted red peppers, garlic, tomato, spinach, and basil. Plus mozzarella cheese. Yes, all of that is $7. And a drink is only a $1 more (they have Arnold Palmer Arizona Ice Tea !!!). Also, if you watch the video posted here, when you see them prepping the food, pouring the sauce and toppings, etc... that's what it really looks like. Literally, flames shooting from the pan (sometimes) and the amazing looking sauce being poured on the pasta. Bouchard's. Your name is deceiving, your stand should be called, "Home made pasta oasis that has the best, most flavorful, yummiest, orgasmic, most delicious pasta on the PLANET stand." Ok I realize it might be a bit long from a marketing standpoint, but now that people know the truth I can continue on... Bouchard's has always had 5 stars on Yelp since before I can remember. I decided to stop by to see what all the buzz is about and now I know why. Growing up my family always made fresh pasta, from scratch so I can appreciate all the work, not to mention time, that this process takes. Not all pasta tastes the same, we can all agree on that. But Bouchard's does it right. Not only do they have authentic fettuccine, linguini, ravioli, etc. They have crazy good inventive, and seasonal types of pasta. Ex: Pumpkin gnocchi, butternut squash ravioli, goat cheese and roasted red pepper ravioli, and garlic and chive fettuccine. I typically never buy sauce from a store, actually I never do. I make it home made whether it's pesto, alfredo, or any red sauce. I am never satisfied with the flavor unless I can tweak it on my own. Pretty picky about my pasta dangit, and rightfully so. Fresh sauce makes the world of a difference. And since I was seeing all the amazing home made pasta staring me down in their case, I thought okay just this once I will buy the sauce they are recommending and just see what they are all about. So here's what I purchased: The Garlic Parmesan Alfredo sauce (BIG), the Garlic and Parsley Fettuccine, and the classic potato gnocchi. The pasta is good for about a week, and you can totally freeze it too. We made ours on a lazy Sunday afternoon and it was not only the easiest thing I've ever made, but the most delicious!! The texture of the pasta was light and fluffy, and when you have home made pasta it makes you NEVER want to eat store bought pasta again. And for the price, you really don't have to! Our meal was about $7 total for FRESH made pasta, and the sauce. I just kept saying to my boyfriend, "How is this possible?!!!" The flavor of the sauce by the way was out of this world. I did not even add a pinch of salt. Like I said I am kind of a picky sauce perfectionist and this did not need anything! You could see the fresh chunks of garlic, and when you warmed up the sauce in pan, the fragrance just came to life. The fettucine was delicious....and I'm not afraid to admit I scraped the container clean when I was done. I'm so pleased to see that this place has 5 stars on every review. It seriously is as good as it gets! I work a block or so away from Findlay Market, and I would eat at Bouchard's multiple times a week if I didn't try very very hard to exercise self control. This is an awesome, awesome choice for lunch. Your food comes quickly, even when there are lots of people waiting during the week. It's a simple enough process - you fill out a slip of paper on the counter: choose from pasta or a flatbread (both are good, but the flatbread is literally one of my favorite things ever). Then you check off what you want as far as sauce, cheese, veggies or meat! Write your name, leave it on the counter, walk around the market for 5-10 minutes and when you come back it's ready! The food is not only COMPLETELY delicious, but the portions are also massive and, get this, it's only $7 for both the pasta and flatbread, regardless of the toppings you choose! It's a triple threat: convenient, delish, and entirely affordable. You can't beat it. I can't stress it enough - you MUST try this place. read more

Just had their take-home fresh spaghetti for the first time, and my mind was blown. Topped with just a little tomato sauce, this stuff blew my expectations out of the water! Staring down a mountain of it on my plate (2 bundles, as they sell it), I said "I'm only going to eat half of this." Then I devoured the entire plate, only pausing long enough to comment on how good it was. It's got this amazing spring and chew to it. While driving south on I75 we passed through Cincinnati and decided to search Yelp for a place to stop for lunch. We decided that the Finley Market sounded like a good idea as my wife wanted a gyro and I wanted Pasta. I ordered a Chicken Alfredo with Garlic, Broccoli, and Mozzarella Cheese. It was everything I expected and more. The size was large, the flavor was very tasty. This is a really unique dinning experience. I'm surprised to not see more restaurants likes this. My wife's gyro which came from another vendor in the market was just ok. My wife wished she had went for the pasta as she couldn't stop eating mine. 5 stars in my book is reserved for the top restaurants. This is not a top high end dining experience but I had to give it 5 stars because for a $7 meal this is as good as it can gets. read more

After passing by Bouchard's at Findlay Market many, many times, I finally stopped and picked up some fresh pasta a few weeks ago. And now I'm addicted. Favorites so far are the basil and black pepper, both of which I believe were in the form of fettucine. Fresh, handmade pasta at a gourmet market seems like it would be a splurge, right? But at $1.50 a bunch, which we've discovered easily feeds 2 adults, this is the kind of splurge that doesn't require a special budget or tons of justification. It is so much more delicious (and probably much healthier) than the hard noodles you buy in a box at the grocery store that paying a few cents more is a no-brainer. read more

Every single five star review that Bouchard's has is completely accurate!! The best Italian I've ever had, hands down, and with these prices I was absolutely blown away!! When I got there I was at first upset that I didn't make it in time. While they are open till 6:00, they stop cooking and serving hot food about an hour before. I almost left with my head hanging low when I realized they sold cold food tht you could take home and cook yourself. I could barely contain myself on what to get. I ended up with a few bundles of spinach pasta and a few of fettuccine. (They say one bundle is one serving, but trust me you will want two per serving.) I chose a tub of the roasted garlic tomato sauce and some classic Alfredo. I mixed the sauces together to create a 'pink sauce' which I love, and mixed the pastas together too. This food is simply the best Italian I've ever had. I can't believe I paid 20 dollars for all of this food, instead of 100 at a gourmet restaurant. The pasta was so fresh, wonderful, melt in your mouth. The sauces were so delicious and fresh. I can't tell you just how FRESH everything was. Bouchard's Anything Pastable is a true Cincinnati treasure. You absolutely must try them. read more

Was in town for the flying pig marathon and came here for the carbo overload dinner. Had to arrive a bit early since they place closes at 6. I found their counter and ordered 2 balls of pasta, ended up going back for 1 more. I guess they pre-make the pasta every day and then warm it up and mix in their sauces. Nothing too fancy, but definitely one of the cheapest places you can go too for a pasta dinner. We walked from our hotel and through some very sketchy areas of downtown. We saw needles on the ground, several beer and liquor bottles, and walked past several people smoking marijuana. I would suggest you come here for lunch over dinner, and probably take a cab. Make sure to check out the other places inside the market, as their are several other options for desert, sandwiches, baked goods and more! read more

If you've only ever had pasta out of a box, come to Bouchard's and you'll never ever buy dried pasta again. Located in Findlay Market, their display shows you everything you need to know about what they carry: freshly (NOT dried) pasta, homemade sauces, and creativity up the wazoo. I got my boyfriend and I some chipotle fettuccine and a garlic cream sauce. I ate the pasta with just some butter and parmesan cheese. That pasta is flavorful and packs a punch! My boyfriend loved it (as we both really enjoy spicy foods) especially with the sauce I chose for it. Next time I visit them I will give their ravioli a try. They have cheese, meat, and mushroom fillings with variety of different pasta choices. I'll definitely be buying some of those and will review again! 2017 has marked my first ever "I'm trying to lose weight diet," and that's led me to Tim Ferris' slow carb diet. I'm proud to say in about 3 weeks, I've lost 14 pounds. My waistline is very happy. My tastebuds, not so much. However, the one thing that is amazing about this diet is that you get one "cheat day" a week where you can literally eat whatever you want. Because the diet restricts all carbohydrates, my cheat day usually consists of a sugar/alcohol/some other amazing carb that I haven't been able to eat all week. Hello Bouchard's. When you have only one day a week to make a carb splurge and are also on a limited budget, you have to make it count. The previous week, I thought long and hard before settling on a Penn Station philly cheesesteak with fries and a lemonade. So tasty, yet my body was hurting afterwards. This week, it was French Toast in the morning and pasta at night. Now, where to go? Yelp made it pretty easy again. Bouchard's was ranked number one, and I knew the Yelp community wouldn't let me down. To help out the wifey, I went to Kroger to pick our our groceries with Click List, and then was planning to head to Findlay Market. Unfortunately, Kroger took 30 minutes too long! I frantically called Bouchards to see if they were still making pastas. Unfortunately, no, they were not. They were closing down for the day. However, the super friendly lady helped me out anyway. She kindly walked me through my first time order over the phone (an angel hair spaghettie with marinara and a creamy fetuccini alfredo). As many others note, the toppings are unlimited. So, I made a beautiful and full portion of tons of toppings. I'll have to say, I was VERY happy. I couldn't stop eating it when I got home, and my stomach was already hurting. But, it hurt. so. good. I was looking for a spot to grab breakfast while at Findlay and it seemed like this was the best option. The breakfast combo seemed like a great deal ($4.50 for eggs, bacon, toast and a hashbrown). The eggs were really good but that's about it. The back was over-cooked for my liking. The hashbrown had an off flavor. The sauces from Bouchard's should come with warning labels! I'm telling you - they are dangerous! This past weekend I purchased a pound of gnocchi and a large container of the butternut squash/goat cheese sauce - oh my God....I barely have the words to write this review. The sauce is SO GOOD that I have to stop myself from eating it with a spoon out of the fridge...doesn't matter that it's cold! It's SO GOOD! The salespeople are super helpful and recommend all kinds of combinations upon request. I'm already contemplating a return trip sometime later this week. Absolutely delicious! Very good pasta at a great price in one the best places in Cincinnati. I forget the exact pasta I had, but it was filling and tasted fresh. German Chocolate Cake- This is what first caught my eye a few years ago as I was walking past Bouchard's in Findlay Market. I am now hooked! This cake is so heavy and moist, it is actually better than my grandmother used to make- sorry grandma! Apple Cranberry Pie- This is my favorite pie which Bouchard's makes. It is an apple pie with a few whole cranberries tossed in. When you bite a cranberry, you get a pop of tart which takes apple pie to a new level! I am ordering one for Thanksgiving now :) read more

I read the reviews and went in with pretty high hopes. Typically when that happens I leave disappointed but not with Bouchard's. This was a gem that I plan to visit quite often. I went in planning to try one of their hot meals. I ordered fettuccine Alfredo with chicken, basil, roasted red peppers and garlic. It was delicious. Only $8 too! I really wish I worked closer so I could eat here even more regularly for lunch. It won't stop me from coming on my days off though. After having the impressive lunch I wandered around Findlay and knew before I left I needed to snag some of their homemade noodles and sauce to try for myself. I ended up with 2 servings of Garlic Herb fettuccine, and 2 servings of Red Pepper fettuccine. I paired the pasta with the chefs recommended vodka cream sauce and made it for dinner that night. (Using the Garlic Herb pasta) I threw in some peppers, herbs and shrimp and it was nothing short of delicious. As an avid pasta eater (whether in or out I eat pasta around 3-4 times per week) this will forever be a staple on my grocery list. The fresh pasta and sauces destroy all of the store bought options I have tried. (...and I have tried a bunch) I wish I had the time to experiment myself with making my own pasta and sauces but for what they charge I feel like I am coming out ahead. Enough sauce for 2 meals for 2 and the pasta ended up being $14. I will chalk that one up as a win. read more

Haven't been there? Go there... Now! Seriously, I don't know how I went 20+ years without having a place to get individual portions of homemade pasta, sauce, and desserts. I haven't had a bad or even average item from the place. Their white chocolate bread pudding almost deserves a review of its own. It's probably meant to be shared... okay, it's definitely meant to be shared, but holy Sh*t, it is soooo freaking good. I haven't had it in a few months because I put on 15-20 Midwest winter pounds as soon as I got up here and I attribute half of them to Bouchard's bread pudding. Nevertheless, I would drive up there and eat one right now if I was willing to deal with the Saturday mayhem at Findlay Market. I should also mention that they make lunch items for pick-up or while you wait and I'm sure they're equally delicious, but I haven't tried any of them yet as my heart is still stuck on Areti's gyros. read more
