Bottleworks district is a prime tourist destination in Indy. These old buildings used be Cocacola's bottle packing factory that have been repurposed for shop and dine district. We have been there multiple times and every time parking lots were jam packed. Finding street parking is challenging, but some of the private lots are easier to get to. There a bunch of restaurants, food hall, shops, bookstore, theater and a hotel as well. The area was mostly clean. It seemed safe to walk around. We went to the Garage Food Hall that had multiple food vendors. Service was good. We also walked different blocks and peaked in some of the shops. Most of them were local stores. Overall it's a good spot for visitors of all ages to enjoy quality time.

Lots of food choices in The Garage! Hard to choose but here's the lineup: Mexican, Lobster and fish, Asian Fusion, British Fish and Chips, hamburgers, pizza, Brazilian, Indian, Greek, Latin American, Cuban, noodle bar, sushi, wine bar, juice bar, cocktail bar, beer tap, you get the picture... Order your food then find a table in the food court. I chose beef and cheese pastels from Groucho's Fire. They were great! There are also some shops in the garage and on the streets in the district. Also duck pin bowling and a movie theatre . Pay to park right on site, and explore!

Feeling pretty darned lucky to have this downtown addition a few steps from our house. What's not to love about a dozen+ new local dining options, historic preservation, extensions of trails and two new coffee shops at your doorstep? Indy has been looking forward to this project for years and it's so great to see what was formerly the public school bus parking lot and old Coca Cola bottling factory converted into a bustling extension of the Mass Ave Cultural Arts District. You can find everything from a boutique hotel and movie theatre to a large food hall and office spaces here. There's also several boutique shops, a spa, and pinball arcade. I'm personally most excited about the second location of Chapati (Chapati Beta), Certain Feelings coffee shop (same folks as Provider and Coat Check), and overall historic preservation of the site. In the years to come, there will be additional down residences added for the next phase of the project. Enjoy a stroll down the brick streets and soak in all of the newly installed outdoor, shaded seating while you're at it.

Visited for the first time today! You won't want to miss this place-something for everyone's palette. Venezuelan, pizza, ice cream, poke bowls, Mediterranean, burgers and more! We are at 2 different places Arribico pizza and Azicar Morena, LLC Venezuelan chicken arepas (gluten free!!!). Then we indulged in Lick ice cream that has vegan ice cream that's so delicious! Fun place fun vibes! Try it you'll like it. Outdoor/Indoor seating too.

I have to admit that I sometimes get frustrated with Indianapolis and the way we "develop" things. However, there's certainly something special going on here in the neighborhood known as Chatham Arch. Located along the end of Mass Avenue, this Bottleworks District is creating a breathtaking destination for locals and a tourist destination for downtown visitors all in one while also adding new purpose to the Art Deco landmarks that have long dotted the landscape in this area. It would have been easy, and perhaps even tempting, to simply remove these buildings that were nostalgic yet long vacant but instead we end up with functional buildings that celebrate the city's history. It's important to note, first of all, that this area is still in development. Key pieces have opened - the Bottleworks Hotel, The Garage Food Hall, the Living Room Theatres, and a couple of shops but other soon to be businesses are still under construction and it appears additional buildings and potential parking are altering the landscape without destroying the vibe (I'm looking at you, Broad Ripple). The Garage Food Hall is just that - it's a food hall. It's a destination food hall with 14 different vendors and I believe more to come. The food selection is diverse and ranges from modestly priced options like Clancy's Hamburgers to finer options like J's Lobster Shack. There are retailers, as well, including Pumkinfish that relocated from its previous spot on Mass Avenue. There are also some services, such as a barber shop. The vibe is industrial. You may be thinking about a mall food court, but this is cooler, more communal, and an awful lot more fun. In recognition of the pandemic still going on, it's also open concept with tables 6' apart and employees who are cleaning the heck out of the place. The doorways are traditional doorways (not automatic), but easily 95% of this place has been made accessible for mobility. By the time they get done, you'll have 30,000 square feet of food hall glory. The Bottleworks Hotel is another Geronimo Hospitality Group joint (think Ironworks). Geronimo thrives in the industrial vibe and they've taken retro chic and industrial and made this one incredible place. 139 keys, that's rooms in hotel lingo, with a restaurant and lounge that I believe is soon to open. The hotel occupies the top two floors of what used to be the Coca-Cola plant's administration building. They've kept the vibe with some glorious updates including a staircase you've simply got to see. Geronimo does accessibility right - I haven't stayed here yet, but I've stayed at Ironworks and I was ready to move in with my wheelchair and all. The Living Room Theatres is an eight-screen joint that screams classic Hollywood. There's another staircase here you've simply got to see. This was started by actual filmmakers who know what makes watching a film special and they've added it here. Technically, Living Room is a "chain" if you consider having 3 locations a chain. They jumped in early and found the perfect location. I've already been here once and it's glorious. The retail spaces will eventually include 143,000+ square feet of retail space with each space ranging from 1,000 to 22,000 square feet. From what's present, you're getting an Indy vibe with some easy recognition that this will be a destination spot. Finally, there's even going to be office space here - 175,000+ square feet of people calling this space their Monday-Friday home (at least post-pandemic). I don't believe this space is open at all yet and there's obvious construction going on. By opening in phases, each destination gets perfected. There's paid parking to be found. All of Mass Avenue is meters anyway, so this is consistent with the area and it's actually MUCH more convenient. I'm not always big on these kinds of destination spots, but having already been down to Clancy's and Lick Ice Cream and Living Room (plus stopping in to see the hotel), I'm a fan and already anxious to return. While some concerns are legit, after all Chatham Arch has always been a fairly quiet residential area, so far everything looks quite promising and should help lift Indy's prospects in a post-pandemic world.

I'm a big Art Deco aficionado, so this district was a must-see for me. I'm so happy that this still exists due to its architectural significance. I took lots of photos of the Coke plant exterior and am very excited to see how this district will continue to grow but pay tribute to its past. Hoping they'll close off some of the streets in the summer for some swing dancing, perhaps!

This is going to be the next 'It' neighborhood after Covid. I give them a lot of credit for opening during the pandemic. There is a swanky new hotel, a huge food hall, and a movie theater with much planned to come.

This place was soooooo cool!! I absolutely loved it and the whole atmosphere. Reminded me of my home town KC in many ways, but with its own character. There was definitely a long wait to bowl, so definitely make a reservation. Lots of pinball machines, which I can't get enough of and bocci! Overall just a great place to hang out, have some drinks and play!

    Roger L.

The most anticipated development project for 2020 in Indy did not disappoint! Walking the exterior is very Disneyland for the Midwest! Breathing new life into our Art Deco landmarks makes the city majestically nostalgic! Excited to appreciate the property more in the post covid world of 2021!

The Bottleworks Hotel is amazing! Review on their page. The Bottleworks Garage is a fun and unique experience with multiples restaurants, two bars, a few shops and barbershop. It is busy no matter the time of day and personally would not take my kids. More of an adult place. It is very loud. The restaurants are all really good. There is lacking of seating for the amount of restaurants and they are opening more. With two bars people are taking up seats to drink and talk and then people are walking around holding food with no where to sit. We had to walk back to the hotel with out food and they said "no seats!" Sounds like it's a common problem. Two bars and ten restaurants require more seating! Hard Truth Distilling- No! Way over priced. Mixed drink specials $15 each for about 2-3oz of liquid. Tiny plastic cup not even filled half the way up. And so much liquor you couldn't taste the flavors they were describing on menu. Our group had four different drinks and all the same. Clancy's Hamburgers - Really good and fresh burger! Had the Clancy Burger and cheese fries. Recommend! Licks Ice Cream - Had the candied pecan ice cream and it was delicious and cheap! $3.50 for the cup. Gaucho's Fire - So good! Brazilian steak sandwich was delicious! Also tried the Brazilian cheese bread and good.

Other than that, I loved that it is a Hilton hotel, and the fact that it was lower in cost by a lot once I utilized my Expedia OneKeyCash rewards. I must mention parking because it was one thing that made me selective of hotel stay in the area. At Home2 Suites, valet parking is listed at $45.00, but if you want to take a chance there are parking garages in the surrounding area which cost around the same price. I parked at the garage located within Regions Tower and paid only $50.00 overnight. And there is metered parking in the area, if you are lucky to find a spot. My experience with the receptionist working behind the counter was nothing less than professional. Since my room had already been booked through Expedia, the only thing check-in consisted of was a verification of my information, a briefing of what the hotel offers, and giving me my room key. For your information check-in starts at 3:00 PM and ends at 12:00 AM! And check-out ends at 11:00 AM! Home2 Suites, as expected, appeared immaculately beautiful! After locating and entering the room I stayed in, I said to myself "Lovely" once I took notice of the room and its kitchenet area. It came with a refrigerator, dishwasher, a sink with garbage disposal, plus cabinets with dishware and pots & pans inside. Now the furniture in the room gave the room somewhat of a homely like feel. The couch, and the carpet on the room looked like something you would see in your grandmother's house I swear, tehehe. The workspace in the room had a rollable table along with a rollable chair. And inside of the bathroom, there were liquid hygiene products inside of the shower attached to the wall. Seems like hotels are slowly doing away with the mini shampoo, bath soap, and conditioner products that make great travel hygiene additions. Along with those notable things inside of the room, it met my cleanliness standards. I had no issues whatsoever getting comfortable in the king-sized bed during my stay as my head was engulfed in-between the comfortable pillows. While utilizing the shower, I was satisfied with the water pressure of it, as well as being able to toggle with the spray patterns. Other things the room came with that I noticed were an iron, ironing board, an extra comforter, and a few lamps with electrical outlets. And the Wi-Fi internet was easy to connect to and not once did I have any connectivity issues with it during my stay. Served from 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM on weekdays, and from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM on the weekend; it was a relief to have the complimentary breakfast because I did not have to worry about finding a restaurant in the area. Using a waffle maker for the first time ever was a fun experience I must say. Overall, I was very satisfied with the quality of what was presented for the complimentary breakfast. I would surely book with Home2 Suites by Hilton Indianapolis Downtown again due to my experience with it because the hotel met my comfort needs, and I loved that its location is within an accessible distance of things of my interest in the city of Indianapolis. ~ Good vibes coming your way ~ Thomas G

The building is from the late 1800s and has been repurposed into this hotel. I think my room was bigger than my first apartment! -Nice sitting area with a couch even though I had a king studio suite. Huge kitchen with full-size fridge and freezer, plus flatware and even cooking utensils. -Large bathroom area, although no bathtub, just a shower. -Free breakfast daily, and they even had almond milk and oat milk for cereal - I have to drink non-dairy milk exclusively and hotels rarely have it available. -Free cookies at front desk -The staff was super friendly, when I returned every day from the conference I was welcomed back Cons: -Very few from me, but: no safe in the room -Towels are small but that's normal for most hotels nowadays -Wifi was a little wonky - on my computer and work iPhone it was fine, and also fast, but on my Android/personal phone, texts were delayed. I'm going to chalk this up to my phone being weird. Overall I LOVED my stay here and would 100% stay here again. If you're in town for a convention, it's only a two-block aka five-minute walk to the convention center, too, which was great.
