The suites were very clean, large and well appointed with full sized fridge, toaster oven, microwave and kitchen. Popcorn and dish soap on hand for you, too. Housekeeping comes quickly (tip them, of course) and does a good job. Plenty of storage, a laundry hamper, ironing board, etc., two TVs, decent lighting and seating throughout. It was quiet and the bed was comfortable. The shower was adequate, the toiletries were fine and the vanity lighting was sufficient; air flow was such that the shower did not steam up the mirror and a fan turned on along with the light in the bath/WC area. There was a lovely patio out back with lots of comfy seating. The breakfast was pretty terrific in a comfy area (ice and drinks available 24/7) and all the staffers we encountered were helpful and friendly. The hallways and elevators were a little shabby, but other common areas were great. I looked but did not find a safe for valuables. After our first night, we returned from breakfast to find our rooms were being serviced by housekeeping; unlike the situation in other hotels, the housekeeper did not confirm our identity or block us from simply walking into the room. We discovered another person - a 9-year-old child - quietly relaxing on the sofa while she worked. It turned out to be no problem in our situation, but the lack of a safe and these security issues would give me real concern had we kept valuables, confidential materials or anything dangerous in our room. As it was, I kept the "no housekeeping" magnet on the doorframe after our second night. With that exception, it was pretty perfect for what we wanted. Not upscale in any way, but with everything you needed.

Our lease at the apartment was up, and we needed a pet-friendly place to land, even if just for a couple of weeks. That's when we found the Residence Inn--and it was exactly what we needed. The team didn't just provide a room. They provided care, comfort, and genuine kindness when we were at a breaking point. Zavier, Hayden, Edd, Matt, Brooke, Jordan, Nikki, MQ, Latonya, Janielle, and Maisha--you didn't just do your jobs. You made us feel human and seen in a season when so much felt uncertain. The little touches stood out--delicious breakfasts, cold water bottles at the front desk, and helpful support for anything from directions to tech issues. The decor may be showing its age, and the ground floor feels a bit damp from the indoor pool--but the rooms are clean, the beds are cozy, and the hospitality is unmatched. We were in between homes--but the Residence Inn made us feel like we had one.

It's also pet friendly, so your four legged family members can come along. There is a lovely outdoor patio as well. Finally, there is an entrance on both sides of the lobby so that you can get a relatively close parking spot. We will be making this our preferred hotel when we need to stay on the Northside of Indy.

She was SO nice and it was wonderful and really took some stress off with such an easy welcome after a long day of flying, and traveling with a baby. The room was comfy, included breakfast was good, and parking and location were excellent. No complaints here and would happily stay again if in Carmel. The room they gave us had a partial facelift however the cleaning was horrific. There was hair and dirt all over the bathroom and the toilet luckily, I do travel always with Clorox wipes and Clorox spray. I also travel with a lot of disinfectant sprays for cloths like the couch and the bedding. The free breakfast was decent however I have stayed at other Homewood suites and this one definitely needs some help. For example, on the second floor, where our room was, there were huge gaping holes in the ceiling were ceiling tiles, and or part of the ceiling had been cut out. Rooms had left garbage in the hallway and even after 24 hours no one had picked it up.

The outside sitting area is really nice. Our first room had a ant issue but it was nice while we were in it. Then we moved to a first floor handicapped room. That room was nice except the shower. The drain must be slow so because there is no bathtub water filled up all the way down to the toilet which was 8 feet away. It was crazy. They ran out of breakfast items but that could be because of the last minute rush of everyone to get food. Probably won't stay at this one again but since it just opened maybe they are still working out the bugs. No pun intended.

We check some areas out and find they have a workout room as well as a pool. The next morning we eat breakfast. The bacon wasn't hot when I got it and wasn't quite as crispy as I prefer it. Unfortunately somehow the eggs were cold even though they had just brought out the pot of new eggs. I did like their options for bread, though, because they had sourdough bread which is my favorite kind of bread. They had a nice variety of items so at this point I could see myself skipping bacon and eggs next time, replacing them with possibly a yogurt parfait. Day 2 Breakfast was a little different on day 2. They had back bacon instead of normal bacon and it basically tasted like ham. There were potatoes of some kind and they replaced the waffles I had been looking forward to since yesterday. I ended up just eating toast. Considering I couldn't sleep night 1, night 2 was different and my sleep was amazing. Their pillows are super soft and fluffy. I slept better than I had in a while. We checked out morning of the 3rd day. Overall our stay was pretty great. Not perfect but definitely earned the 4 stars.

Customer Service from the Management Team was horrible. I have been going to Marriott hotels since…read more2019, and we have never had a problem with checking in. This time they informed us of a new policy where my wife with the same last name same credit card number same address could not check in since my name was on the reservation. It caused quite the stress for my wife, and the staff (mainly David the general manager) didn't treat my wife with a level of customer service we have received at other Marriott properties. When I arrived, I asked for the owner's information and the nice staff member went to the back office where the general manager was for a few minutes, only to come back out with a Post-it note that had member services number on it. She then informed me that the owner, Venkata Nattam, doesn't need to talk to me, that rules are rules, and I can take my concerns to member services. The general manager knew I was in the lobby and didn't come out to tell me this himself- instead he sends out the front desk staff who was kind enough to let me know the owner would be in the next day. The next day, after I checked out and waiting a few minutes, I was able to speak to Mr. Nattam who told me he has a management team that deals with all the issues and that's why he suggested I go to member services with my complaint. Even after I asked him if he wanted to know how his staff treats customers at his property, he still "passed the buck". The general manager, David, finally comes out from the back when the owner is speaking to me which allowed the owner to excuse himself and pass me to the general manager- the staff member responsible for the terrible service in the first place. Meeting him finally for the first time, I shake his hand and introduce myself. He wasn't receptive to my perception of the event and eventually asked me to leave, kicking me out while offering his assistance to find another property to finish my stay (he wasn't aware that I had already checked out). I left after exchanging apologies (his was not authentic) and offered to shake his hand, and he refused saying "I'm good." Aside from this, other things that made this stay terrible - water pressure is terrible for showers, toilets also aren't high pressure flushing so toilet paper by itself will clog the toilet, bathtub has stains where tub meets tile, hair on the bathroom floor upon arrival that wasn't my family's, housekeeping knocking on our door even with the "do not disturb" door hanger hanging outside, and the beautiful fire pit in the back didn't work - no fire. Only good aspects of the hotel was the other front desk staff- who unfortunately have to work at this establishment under the oversight of the general manager and owner. After staying at many Marriotts the past several years, I encourage all to avoid this property with amount of other options in the Indy area.

Service comes in hot and polished, with thoughtful touches (like luxury robes and umbrellas) that feel less like extras and more like part of the composition. The room leans indulgent: down pillows and marble showers with acoustics that, dare I say, will have you sounding like Whitney Houston on karaoke night. Set in downtown Carmel, you're a short stroll from steakhouse showstoppers and easygoing breweries, high notes, low notes, all within half a mile. Even the gym keeps tempo: Pelotons, free weights, cables, kettlebells, and a fridge stocked full of spring water. It's a stay that swings refined, a little indulgent, and effortlessly in rhythm.

I contacted him twice during my stay getting no response. I Was not given the room I booked, and upon check in, the front desk staff told me the hotel was fully booked and the only room they cold give was one overlooking a construction site. The food was horrible. I ordered room service on one of my five night stay. And, I am pretty sure I was served table scraps. When ordering dinner, I asked if it would be served on a dinning cart? The person that took the order replied, " No We Don't do that. You should should have a table in the room ". I did have a small table, bed side doubling as a night stand holding a lamp. The only other option was to dine in the bed, which I did. The burger was cold in the center, cheese was congealed and fries had probably been cooked and reheated at least four times. The Door men (probably young college guys) were great! I Will not choose this hotel on an upcoming visit to Indy. Beware! 5 Star room rates! Not accompanied by 5 star service, food or staff.
