Our stay was delightful and the staff members were very accommodating and friendly. Daily continental breakfast was awesome and the best part each morning, was, meeting and conversing with different people. Shared information and learning is always great. Special shout out to Pam and Yvonne for going above and beyond to ensure that we were ok. A special mention/ thanks to Dewayne, even though he is no longer an innkeeper there. We also liked the ability to get a bus to the transit center and to different areas. If there is a need for accommodation again, we won't hesitate to return to the Stone Soup Inn.

Called and told David we needed a place to sleep and he went right to work getting our room ready. If u are ever in Indy stay here, such a better experience than a hotel, breakfast was a continental but we sat at an actual dining room table with china, glassware and utensils. No paper plates there. And we talked with 4 people who were visiting the area. It was wonderful. David is a great host, and the stay was a 10 +

The King bed room was $249 a night before taxes, parking, etc for a final $1,098.27 for 4days/3nights and roughly $80 of that was from food and beverage bled to the room. The service really stood out from check in to check out. Everyone from housekeeping to the front desk, was friendly and welcoming every time I passed by or needed anything it was a great encounter. It was every staff member. I chose self parking in the garage over valet. Plenty of parking and easy to access. The restaurants are good. I frequented Loaf + Vine Market quite a bit, along with Starbucks upstairs, then High Velocity, and the lobby bar. Nice to have solid options right in the hotel. The room felt luxurious with great amenities with wood accents in the foyer, floor to ceiling windows, a safe, mini fridge, full size ironing board, great bathroom, plenty of hot water (32nd floor), a nice desk area for working, and a good size TV. The workout facilities were great too with water and fresh fruit provided. No downsides during my stay. Overall, really impressed with both the service and the experience. Would definitely stay here again.

I'm already searching for an excuse to come back to Indianapolis so I can visit this beautiful…read morehouse again! My friend and I were in Indianapolis for a mutual friend's wedding, and we decided to stay at this bed and breakfast because it wasn't much more expensive than the hotel rooms we were looking at (where we would have to share a bed), and the reviews were phenomenal. We were both completely delighted with the place, and within minutes of being welcomed into the house by Debra were ready to move in permanently! I can't say much for the other rooms as we did not see them and I am of the understanding that they are all different, but we stayed in the Garden Room and it was fantastic. There are two rooms, a living area (with a sofa bed) and the bedroom, which has an incredible spa bath with jets... a.k.a. my personal paradise. Also included in the bath area are battery operated candles for ambiance and bath salts. I definitely took advantage of the bath salts. If you are staying in the Garden Room, definitely allot some time in your schedule to take a wonderful, relaxing bath. The room was great, but the experience itself was also unique and lovely. Each day you fill out a breakfast card for the next morning, indicating what time you would like to eat breakfast and any dietary preferences members of your party might have. The next morning, if you have turned in your card, you will be served a freshly cooked breakfast according to your preferences, alongside the other items (cereal, oatmeal, fruit, etc) which are still available to you if you neglected to turn in your breakfast card. There is also a little Keurig bar stocked with K cups available for you to brew. On the second floor is a sun room with comfortable chairs you are welcome to use to hang out in if you wish. In the same room is a shelf full of DVDs available for you to borrow and watch in your room. There is also a chest with snacks available to take such as Cheez-Its, Chex Mix, and Teddy Grahams. Soda cans are also available to take back to your room. On our last evening at the Harney House, we had a movie night in the room with some of these snacks. There was also a popcorn packet available in the room, on top of the microwave and mini fridge. As I discussed with Debra, the owner, bed and breakfasts really aren't for everyone... It's a different experience entirely from staying at a hotel and, in my opinion, it's just better. But if you want your basic, sterile hotel experience, this is not it. Debra and her family run an amazing business here, and I cannot recommend it highly enough.

We went away for the weekend for our dating anniversary of six years, and during that time we got engaged! Hooray! Anyway, we stayed in the Garden Room. It was amazing! The bed was super comfy. The spa tub was great. We watched a movie or two from their selection and snacked on some of the soda and treats that were provided in the common area. The area is great in general with lots to do, and it's just a short walk away from Massachusetts Avenue, a great street with a bunch of little shops and restaurants. The only thing that was even remotely out of perfection was the size of the shower. It was a pretty cramped, but if anything, it will be a funny memory of fumbling around like a doofus. Not a complaint, just an observation. :) Also, the towels made up for it! They were super plushy and soft. Breakfast was great, too! Sausage, eggs, some kind of apple coffe cake thing (I could have eaten the entire loaf), fruit, yogurt, a Keurig with a large variety of coffees and teas, cereal, toast, etc. All-in-all we had a wonderful time and will definitely be back! Thank

My…read morehusband and I enjoy B & B's and had frequently passed this one, so decided to book it for our anniversary. The neighborhood is lovely, and the house has been restored with beautifull antiques and quality bedding. What we experienced in no way reconciles with their glowing web site about gourmet food and owners who provide caring service to their guests. The minute I walked in the house I smelled the cigarette smoke, which only got worse in our upstairs room. I still have a horrible migraine from sleeping around it. Their web site also mentions refreshments and snacks - none of those were seen nor mentioned. In the bathroom or bedroom, no cups or glasses were provided - and let's face it - most of us take meds or just want a drink of water sometime in the night. There was one tiny sliver of soap to be used for both sink and shower. I will say that the towels were plentiful and of good quality. For breakfast, we each received a tiny portion of grapefruit and a small slice of an egg caserole. Both were tasty - but not at all fitting the description on their web site of gourmet food - and certainly not comparable to most B & B's in our experience. Maybe the owners started this project with better intentions and execution, but they now seem to be trying to collect the same fees for the minimum food and service. I am just so disappointed and mad at myself for not thinking to check Trip Advisor, since I live in the area.

The ONLY extra food we were given were bottles of water left in the dining room. We had to get a cab to go out for all of our food. We left early the last day after I caught the owners in a compromising position on their couch. Don't waste your money.
