It was such a treat to stay here at the JW Marriott Indianapolis. It was such a relaxing, wonderful stay. Self-parking was $47 a night. The King bed room was $249 a night before taxes, parking, etc for a final $1,098.27 for 4days/3nights and roughly $80 of that was from food and beverage bled to the room. The service really stood out from check in to check out. Everyone from housekeeping to the front desk, was friendly and welcoming every time I passed by or needed anything it was a great encounter. It was every staff member. I chose self parking in the garage over valet. Plenty of parking and easy to access. The restaurants are good. I frequented Loaf + Vine Market quite a bit, along with Starbucks upstairs, then High Velocity, and the lobby bar. Nice to have solid options right in the hotel. The room felt luxurious with great amenities with wood accents in the foyer, floor to ceiling windows, a safe, mini fridge, full size ironing board, great bathroom, plenty of hot water (32nd floor), a nice desk area for working, and a good size TV. The workout facilities were great too with water and fresh fruit provided. No downsides during my stay. Overall, really impressed with both the service and the experience. Would definitely stay here again. read more

JW Marriott Indianapolis is one of the premier hotels in downtown Circle City. The rooms are well appointed and there is a spacious attached garage in which to park. Valet service is available. Alternatively, if you self park, it is relatively simple to carry your bags from the attached garage facility to the front desk and then onward to your room. Comfortable bed, clean bathrooms in each room, and everything you would expect from a flagship Marriott hotel. The front desk staff are extraordinarily helpful. This is a hotel with an in-house convention facility, and you may find that large groups could be on site during your visit. The website is robust and booking is easy. JW Marriott Indianapolis, is adjacent to the Everwise Amphitheater, as well as the Indianapolis Convention Center. It is also close enough to be reasonable, walking distance, in my opinion, to some of the cities, premier professional sports facilities. Additionally, there are many fine dining establishments, entertainment venues, and other restaurants in the downtown Indianapolis area, that are easily accessible from this hotel. If you have business at the capital, this hotel would be one of the logical choices for a stay if that is needed. read more

I love staying here - comfortable beds, clean rooms, huge conference spaces, and convenient self parking under the property. It was very easy to pack and unpack my car - plus my room key offered in and out privileges. The staff never fail to be top-notch and almost always I'm able to secure early check-in. Along with my key I was handed a cold bottled water. Any request I made at the front desk throughout the week was promptly resolved. Catering was average and the coffee service and snacks were decent. Starbucks is located on the second floor. High Velocity is a restaurant/bar located on the bottom floor and another is being designed. I'd recommend you leave the hotel for better food and gathering options. High ticket price to stay here and parking is another $50+/night. For locals this is a decent space to meet people for meetings, especially near the coffee shop and its lounge seating. read more

Perfect location (central to all the Indy sports venues, right next to Victory Field, and 10 minute walk to St Elmo's), friendly staff, super clean and well maintained hotel, and great city views. My stay at the JW Marriott Indianapolis was fantastic! I traveled here for a work event and was fortunate enough that all of our business meetings were inside the building in the conference centers. So even as it was 20° outside in January, I did not have to step outside into the freezing cold weather and I was able to get everything done by just staying within the building. The rooms were very clean, the beds were comfortable, but the pillows were extremely thin. There was not a lot of noise from outside the room and I did sleep well... so that was nice. Despite being very expensive (with taxes, over $300US per night, which was $425 CAD!), we stayed at the JW Marriott for Gen Con as it was not only very close to the convention center where Gen Con was being held, but there was also a walkway between the hotel and convention center. (Yes, we were willing to pay for convenience.) The JW Marriott is a lovely hotel with nice rooms, and we were in room 3036, on the 30th floor, overlooking White River State Park. So why the low rating? The goddamn NOISE. One evening, our room was SHAKING with vibrations, and our entire room was filled with the *woom woom woom* of bass. I wasn't just hearing loud music; our entire room was engulfed with noise and vibrations so great that it was painful. I called the front desk, and they said it was likely a concert from the amphitheater in White River State Park. Looking out our window confirmed there was a concert. Walking by the amphitheater the next day, I saw a sign listing of all the concerts happening during our stay, and sure enough on concert days (August 4th and 5th), our room was shaking with deafening vibrations in the evenings. Thankfully the concerts would end around 10pm, but it was impossible to relax in our room while the concerts were happening. I asked some people who were staying at the hotel but on the opposite side (not overlooking the park) if they had heard anything, and they said no. So it appears as if only the rooms overlooking the park were affected by the noise. But I wouldn't think that being on the 30th floor we'd hear anything! So for two out of six nights, it was hell. And at $300US+ a night, absolutely unacceptable -- for the price we paid, I expect quiet! Despite being a nice hotel, I will NOT stay there again, unless I am guaranteed it is not overlooking the park (and I would check the amphitheater concert schedule first!). Easily the best hotel in town if you are a Marriott Bonvoy member. This place is always busy, always hustling and bustling. There seems to almost always be some sort of meeting or convention going on here. So much stuff goes down here that there are multiple Marriott hotels attached to it in case the JW runs out of rooms. Most of these hotels are pretty mediocre, and should be avoided if you can help it. The hotel is an ultra fancy like I imagine some other JW properties are, but this is Indianapolis after all! read more

For the cost and prestige that comes along with the name "JW MARRIOTT" I was both surprised and disappointed by what I found and with the fact that it took several trips to the front desk for me to get someone to come back into the room to clean and remove what was left behind. Not happy at all about feeling like I was thrown into a room without it being cleaned. I was there for a conference and came in late at night so it was extra frustrating to get up to the room and find the mess. The "red coats" staff met our every need, housekeeping was immaculate, and even with a whole other convention running at the same time, our events, dinners, etc. ran without a hitch. This hotel was very nice and for our room we were able to use the executive lounge during our stay. The hot breakfast and snacks throughout the day were really pleasant and tasty. Our room was comfortable and the beds were nice. The hotel itself is very clean. I love that they have a Starbucks right downstairs. The gym is huge. I was very disappointed that parking was not included and that it was so expensive. When you stay for several days at a time it really really adds up. We parked elsewhere and walked to the hotel. This felt very frustrating for how expensive this hotel is. The lack of parking, internet, and breakfast would normally make this a 3 star but because we had the executive lounge access and it was so well stocked, it feels unfair to rate it any lower than 4. I'm not sure if the price justifies the lack of these amenities though. I would not personally stay here without the executive lounge access upgrade and because it is an upgrade and not included, I would likely choose to stay somewhere else. read more

This hotel isn't terrible but also not luxurious. We've stayed at several JWs and unfortunately this was not the quality that we have come to expect. The hotel was absolutely packed when we were there due to a volleyball tournament which made everything a little bit more hectic - things like Starbucks and the restaurant had an extensive wait, additionally each time we needed to use our vehicle we waited quite a bit for valet which was all frustrating. Could be normal or the fact that they had the tournament going on. The amenities were underwhelming at best. The breakfast bar was nice but again not like many of the other options at JWs. The exterior looks beautiful and the lobby is inviting. The rooms have a rather old feel to them; bathrooms have tubs no separated toilets, etc. We stayed on the 29th floor which we understood was an "upgrade" but couldn't understand what made the room we stayed in an upgrade - it was a very typical two bed, desk chair, nightstand set up. We were escorted to our room by a bell hop who helped us empty the luggage cart but she really couldn't offer much feedback on where to eat or things to do, etc. We did love the location, it was a quick commute to the things we wanted to experience. For the price- in my opinion not worth it but not terrible. read more

We had a great time here. It's a large, stylish restaurant with a full-service bar at the center and a comfortable, fairly upscale sports bar vibe in the Marriott. The atmosphere was lively but not overwhelming. We ordered the burger and the short rib grilled cheese. Both dishes were solid and delivered what we expected. The burger is made with wagyu beef, though it seemed to be a pre-formed patty--still decent, just not outstanding. My son loved the short rib grilled cheese, which seems to be a signature item here. He said he'd definitely order it again, while I'd probably try something different next time. Prices were in line with what you'd expect at a hotel restaurant. The real standout was the service. We were lucky to have Brooke W. as our server (there are apparently a couple Brookes on staff). Even after a party of ten was seated in her section, she never missed a beat. Attentive, efficient, and friendly--we wanted for nothing. Without exceptional service by her I'd give this place 4 instead of 5 stars. If you go, ask if Brooke W. is working. I had the chance to stay one night at the JW for a work conference. When we arrived- the lobby area was packed - I couldn't tell if it was for the restaurants or due to the rain outside. Checking in was a breeze and the staff were helpful- our reservation said two queens or a king and at first they were going to give us two queens but the staff member found an available king bed. Our room was on the 23rd floor. The elevators move pretty quick and the views are beautiful from every area of the hotel. Our room was a nice size and was well maintained. I did find some small stains on the bed sheets but it looked like makeup that was hard to remove. I did notice our rooms fridge was on the ground and also there was no microwave- just interesting for a hotel of this price/size. The bed was comfortable and we had an enjoyable stay. read more

This is a perfectly fine property. However. For a JW Marriott my expectations were much, much higher. This is allegedly the nicest hotel in Indy, which does not speak well for the city. What makes a hotel luxury are the amenities. The amenities here are standard at best, nothing special at all. The high floor elevators were finicky and somehow even with a higher floor button lit up and the voice announcing "going up" the elevator went down instead, more than once. Operator error is always possible, but unlikely. My king reservation got "upgraded" upon my arrival to a queen bed on a high floor, which I consider a downgrade from what I requested. There is no hot tub- unlike every Fairfield Inn I've ever stayed at. I was expecting a luxury stay, this was unfortunately not it. The staff are fantastic- friendly and helpful, the only real bright spot. read more

Stayed as a guest during a concert held at White River State park and we could actually see the stage from our room. Room was clean and comfy. The food offered at the JW is very good and the bartenders know their craft because the drinks were amazing. I also attended a conference here and was very pleased with the food catered and the rooms for the presentations. Plus the hotel is part of the skywalk which i took advantage of when it was cold and rainy outside to walk all the way comfortably to Circle Center mall. This hotel is in a fantastic location, and has the typical JW amenities, but I'm honestly not sure if I'd stay again. It's directly across from the minor league stadium, which is the reason we chose this spot. Traffic was a beast and we tried to self park, but it was blocked off. So we used valet and I think it was about $65 for one night. Walking in there were several customer service associates ready to help/check in. It's also a conference center and across from the convention center, so different parts of the lobby have two bars and a Starbucks. We checked in easily and received our corner room on the 32nd floor. The room was nice and clean and the city view was incredible! The downfalls were two: the noise at night was so loud, including traffic, a dripping sound from the ceiling and tapping from the air conditioner. So sleep was sparse from us. We also had to call maintenance at 10:30 pm following the baseball game as the shower wasn't draining. The bathrobe, towels, and products were nice and higher end. We had access to the Bonvoy lounge which was one flow below us. We went for happy hour which was packed with conference folks-the food was mediocre. Breakfast was better the next morning-consisting of an array of fruits and a few hot options. The coffee machine and creamer variety was appreciated! So yes-it was a nice JW. However I appreciate my sleep and the noise was just too much for me. read more

Spent 4 days/3 nights at the JW for a convention. This hotel (actually, the entire complex) is obviously built for conventions. The public spaces are open and airy, with tons of seating. The hotel decor is very 'Marriott', and has a more upscale feeling than your standard Marriott hotel. The rooms are well-appointed (super comfortable beds), though somehow we wound up in a room without a fridge, which was pretty inconvenient since sleep frequently had leftovers from various meals. Elevators were always fast, and we had an amazing view from the 21st floor! I definitely want to call out the staff for this hotel! Housekeeping was always fast and friendly, and the hotel was great about getting our trash and replenishing towels upon request. The lobby bar cocktails were amazing, and the bartenders were great! We ordered the meatballs one night and they were delicious! Very few cons, but they did keep me from giving five stars: *Lack of a fridge in our room *Have to go to the 2nd floor for ice (though kudos to the hotel for having microwaves available there as well) *High velocity was pretty overpriced in my opinion - drinks were not as good as at the lobby bar and the food was awful. The vibe was mostly frat house meets tailgating, and while that definitely has its place (and we are literally blocks away from multiple major sports), I have a hard time spending $$$ on a not great cocktail and soggy quesadillas. Overall, still a great experience! I've stayed at multiple hotels in downtown Indy, and while the JW adds a few blocks to your walk downtown, it stands out as one of the nicest hotels.
