As a new Oregonian, I'm still trying to figure out the recycling system. My daughter and I have been to two bottle drop locations, and I got a card and bags on my first trip. Our second trip, we dropped the bags and I got online to register, assuming that's where we could check the account balance. I realized later that my online account was not connected to my card, so we went inside to ask questions. The person at the desk helped, then was assisted by a blonde woman (the manager?) who offered to walk me through the process, literally. I asked her name, but regretfully forgot it. She was more than helpful and explained the options for using funds at kiosks located at partner stores, and told us not to hesitate to ask for help anytime we were there. The floors were sticky and it was smelly inside, so I certainly commend those who choose to work here. I wish the parking weren't so chaotic, but its located in a strip mall with a large lot and close to home, so I'll be back. read more

BottleDrop Redemption Center - Recycling Center Near Me - Salem, Oregon

Been using the bottledrop for a while now, and I always had issues with the level of ignorant/uneducated people, and how bottledrop is doing nothing to remedy it. 1st off, card you are given not only does it access your account, it acts like a key which how the door opens, yet people think that card will access your account when you open the door which not the case, but people that. Then there is the loading of the bags, and no matter what you say or how "helpful" you try and be, end the it still doesn't matter, because just wanna do their way or what more convenient for them and not the long run. If BottleDrop could explain that when loading bag you put it the side not the middle because it creates more space and prevents the system from filling up faster! Which makes going to the Lancaster drop off a hassle and you consistently have deal with people who just chuve it in, then it create more work for you, holds up the line and makes people act rude and impatient!! So, anyone reading this review your card is both a key and accesses your account it proves you are member, but if someone has bag with tag they are a member too, so be kind and just leave the door open. Also, if you are going to load your green or blue bags do yourself and everyone a favor and just load it to the side and the not middle you'll have less problems if you do!! read more

It's so baddd so ugly and the people are so mean just one guys is not mean but one woman that works there she is so mean and some people were cutting and bringing more bags and she didn't say anything and I was in where you put your trash in and then she checked my tick and she said you need to leave but that's not fear because there was a lady with 3 children and she was there more longer then me and she didn't said nothing about them but she said something about me and there was other people that where in there and they were done with there bags and then they came back in and that women didn't say nothing about that but she said some about me it's just to bad the kaizer one is much better then this one and the lady doesn't have a good attitude in my opinion it's just so bad read more

This place is horribly managed. The green bag drop was so blocked with bags it was impossible to put even one more bag. It was at 8:30 AM so not the middle of the night. They have removed the inside green bag drop so it is now a crapshoot whether you can actually bring your green bag to this location. Don't waste your time. Go to another location. read more

The Pros : You can get a keychain tag & their green bags with your #id sticker so you can just drop your bags off in the little door outside & not have to wait in their horrific line. The money will be added to your account after they count it & you can cash out at most major grocery stores !!! The Cons: The floor is a sticky dirty mess !!!! It stinks..like stale beer The line is usually out the door for the people who are dropping their cans off in the machines inside. People inside will cheat & cash out..Use another slip they have in their pocket & continue doing this till another customer notices or an employee stops them. My boyfriend got stuck behind a "lady" doing this & told the employee & he told her she had to leave.This was after standing behind her for 20 mins though. read more

Honestly it's a bottle redemption place not the Marriott Wear some gloves get in get out relatively easy I think that having more recycling machines open would be beneficial but hey it's a pandemic so it's not a big deal to wait. What you see is what you get with this place read more

If I could leave a 0 star review, I would. Every single time I go here, I have to wait AT LEAST 25 minutes in line before even getting to a machine. The carts, floors and machines are always FILTHY. The trash cans for glass, plastic and other items the machines won't take are always overflowing. Today, I tried this location instead of the one by my house because the lines at that one are always unbelievably long. The line was LITERALLY OUT THE DOOR. They need MANY more machines, or alternately bigger locations instead of these tiny ones. read more

Just get the green bags so you can drop them off. It's worth not having to wait in line with a bunch of drunkards on a sticky floor. The staff are always helpful. read more

I recycle everything back home for free (curbside pickup). Well i hear about bottledrop from a coworker i go in it a saturday it was packed.i walk to the back to get a look at these machines im told take all your recyclables glass,aluminum.plastic then when your done pays you cash.(nothing like this in ca.) This employee (daniel) comes wizzing by holding 2 huge green leather bags shirt soaked obviously in a hurry he asked if i needed the restroom i tell him no i needed info. He puts the bags down answers my questions. Adds info about there account,and there hours. he asks if i would like to open an account.the place was bulging with people now im a human resource manager in Monterey Ca, i know good service the guy made me feel like i was the only one there my advice is saturday and sundays are there busiest ive been in 3 times now weekdays are the best no line 350 bottle a day cap .multiple locations found out there is one closer to me.Still like this one its bigger. more open. if you need anything forget the line at the desk give it a minute and youll see him wizzing by weaving thru smiling ,helping.big guy ponytail ask him if he doesnt ask you first.this place is amazing.modern, fast,seems well maintained.im sold we need these in monterey ca, read more

Nice new facility. Very busy every time I have been in there though, so expect a wait. And the employees never seem in a hurry.
