Today I did 3 loads of laundry - I used my card to pay - 2 loads started right up - the change machine kept 20$ from a customer ( it just made a grinding noise) I ran to the store to get change - when I got back 2:machines had 3 minutes and the 3rd had its door open - I shut the door and hit start it wouldn't I checked my card - it had been charged 3:times - I called and your phone system isn't meant to actually the help any one and the sign on the counter showed almost 3 hours before someone would be back to help. - by the way I've tried 3 times since I've been home and I still can't talk to anyone So do I decline the payments and wait to be contacted? I always come here to do my laundry but never on Sundays today July 6 th I decided to do laundry I barely was done added the soap to the machine a worker name Bonnie. I used to visit the one on Lancaster and felt safe there. It used to be super clean and tidy. I went in this past Saturday, and the attendant did not greet me. She ignored everyone in there and just sat at her desk in the front folding laundry. The place was dirty, garbage all over the floors, washers were dirty with laundry soap spilled down the front of several of the washers. The place looked like it hadn't been cleaned at all that day. The staff used to go around and keep up on making sure things stayed clean and encouraged people to clean up after themselves. I like this place, they have quality washers and dryers. However, a lot of people who wait here DO NOT KEEP THEIR MASKS ON. And the attendants aren't always there so there isn't much enforcement. I'm not getting near anyone within 10ft of me indoors who is not wearing a mask right now. He explained our options and gave us instructions on how do use the self service machines. Holy smokes his place is the Rolls Royce of laundromats as far as I am concerned. The spot is super clean and actually has an on site staff member who ensures that it stays that way. The machines are top of the line and incredibly efficient as well as thorough in cleaning your clothing. Running out of change, no worries you can use your credit card in the machines and finish the job. They also offer a service where they will wash your laundry for you and have it folded and ready for you to pickup. I had one of those ruggable washable rugs to wash and tried this laundromat and - wow - this is really nice. Nice clean equipment and you can use your debit card, so no pocketful of quarters. The driers are also heat adjustablee - High, medium and low. Awesome! Already know what i'm going to wash next! This is a great place. We dropped off our washing and Jose said yes give me the day and it will all be done. Well it was - all neatly folded with my washing in one bag and my wife's in another and my shirts on hangers looking like they had been ironed. So good that I have kept them on hangers in our car while we travel around Oregon. See the photo of how we received our washing all packed up on the cart. They do take coins and credit cards but here's why they get the 1 less star, if you are using your credit card they put a $15.00 hold on it for 12-36 hours, 3 washing loads that's $45, if it falls off tomorrow no biggie but if it's 3 days that's pretty crappy. This is by far the best laundry in Salem, but only when the attendant Jose is on duty, he is friendly, efficient and always busy. He helps us with all the questions and is so respectful to everyone. I will not come when he is not here as I do not feel the safety I do with his presence, he keeps people out that should not be here. I was here last week and he was not and I left and went to another place with an attendant because of these reasons. This is the only laundry service I use in Salem and I drive 26 miles from Dayton because Jose keeps it clean and is here. I first came to this laundromat when the laundromat closest to my home was down for maintenance on my laundry day. As soon as I walked into Express Eco Laundromat, Location ID: 01, I noticed how much more advanced this place was compared to my old laundromat. This place even had an app option I could download and use to communicate with the washers and dryers. Fabulous! I noticed right away that when my clothes were done in the washer that they came out barely damp! Super efficient cleaning and the spin cycle on the washer got tons of the water out of my clothes before even putting them into the dryers! This evening I was having trouble with the app and 1 particular dryer out of the 3 I was using. I would select the dryer in the app, hit the start button on the dryer, and it would not add time! I saw the $0.25 come off my account but the dryer did not increase the 7 minutes I paid for! I called the Service number and had the privilege of texting with Sarah. She tried to send a start signal and for some reason we weren't able to get it to start. I asked for a call and spoke with Eyal. I told him I switched dryers to one of the other two that were working for me. He advised how to do this with far less headache! Before, I was using the app to find the dryer and hit start to go to that dryer and hit start there. Only adding 7 minutes at a time. I repeated this process over and over until I got to the desired drying time, about 35 minutes.. Meaning doing this 5 times for each dryer! Oh my! So Eyal explained it. 1. Begin with the dryer by pre-selecting the time, such as 7 minutes for $0.25, 14 minutes for $0.50, 21 minutes for $0.75, 28 minutes for $1.00, and 35 minutes for $1.25. After navigating and selecting the option I needed by pressing (-), I then.. 2. Use my app to select the same dryer and hit start. The dryer reflected what I needed, example I pre-selected on the dryer to be 28 minutes for $1.00, then lastly.. 3. Select 'START' on the dryer and it worked! The correct drying time was there and the correct amount deducted from my app! Sarah and Eyal were so very patient with my ignorance as I was missing the pre-selection step on the dryer completely! I went back and tested the dryer I had trouble with previously and followed the steps Eyal provided me. It communicated with my app and started without any issue. This is only my second time coming here and unfortunately I am here late when a tenant is not on premise. I cannot thank those two enough for walking me through the process and helping me. I recommend this laundromat and their superior service!!! Will be back in a couple weeks!! read more
