If you want meticulously handcrafted leather goods devoid of logos or labels this is the place for you. Bottega Veneta makes beautiful accessories out of the most perfect animal leather. I fell in love with a cognac alligator billfold with large evenly spaced scales, expertly tanned with straight, even double-needle stitching; only the finest for a modest $1,100. As well as accessories, Bottega Veneta also makes exceptional luggage including an all-leather steamer trunk for your travels. Staff is very helpful. Rather than sizing you up like other stores in this mall, The women at this store are cheerful with all who enter the store; engaging in small-talk with guests and educating prospective buyers in what makes their goods so unique.

I was told it would be done in two weeks and I never got a call. I dropped by today out of curiosity and I saw they're closed for the entire month of December. That would've been nice to know when I dropped it off. I still don't have it back. I haven't gotten a call. I haven't gotten a text. At least they were nice enough to put a sign up on their door saying they're closed for the entire month. I'll update once I get it back.

Review for Bedos Leatherworks - Steve Doudaklian…read more The transformation of my vintage Florsheim Imperials is truly night and day. These shoes arrived at Bedos Leatherworks worn and tired, and what Steve returned to me looks like a masterpiece fresh out of a bespoke workshop. Steve didn't just resole them--he completely recrafted the shoes from the ground up with unmatched skill. The welt work, stitching, and finishing are flawless, far surpassing anything I've ever seen from factory production. Every detail was handled with precision, and the shoes now look better than when they were new. On top of that, Steve went above and beyond by creating custom shoe trees, beautifully stamped with the Imperial logo. It's that level of detail and pride in craftsmanship that makes his work so special. If you want to see your shoes not just restored but elevated, Bedos Leatherworks is the place. Steve's artistry proves that true craftsmanship can breathe new life into classics--and even surpass their original glory.

They were able to resole the original rubber heel with a Vibram heel cap, as well as fix a chip in the leather stack of the heel. They even fixed a small chip on the top of the sole. The heel cap was definitely not the original one - and thats fine - the new Vibram heelcaps are high quality and it looks pretty good. The pricing felt a little arbitrary (and possibly a bit expensive, but I have no point of comparison) but given the quality of the fix, I think it was a fine enough price for me. As a rough reference, the pricing for the fix was around ~10% of the price I paid for the boots. I think I'd probably come here again for other leather or shoe fixes, my first experience was pretty good all around.

After trying at other shops, Paul's was the first one who said they could fix my purse. Not only did he fix it, but, he repaired it in a way that did not require taking it apart and was extremely reasonable in price. I could not be happier! I truly appreciate that they found an extremely practical solution and then carried through. This will be my go to spot for any leather, purse or luggage repair from now on.

I dropped of my shoes two weeks bf Christmas. TWO WEEKS.Owner said ( as he gave me my repair…read moreticket) completed by Dec 27th! Cool! I called January 10 to say I would pick up by the 24th.... Then SNOWMAGEDON happened! Mind you... I took my repair to this particular shop from a personal friends' review.... So today ( Feb 2,2026) I drove down to pick up my shoes..... The owner looked at me with confusion as I handed him my repair ticket. I described my shoes to a T...5 inch stilettos with a wide crisscross strap. Still confused face. I literally watched this man walk over to a pile of shoes and rummage through pairs and pairs of shoes to eventually find mine on the bottom of the pile.... Dusty and half stripped . So I knew work had started on them bc I did not drop them off in the condition I took them back in. I inquired as to why they were not finished and he said " it's been busy, then snow". I also asked why he did not tell me he had not finished them when I called ( and I gave him the tix number on the 10th of January). He shrugged his shoulders. At this point.... ZERO APOLOGY! ZERO offer to complete the repair at a 25% discount.... I did not ask him for one. He said... and I quote..." you said take your time".... In my mind and most other customers minds.... Take your time means in a reasonable time..... HE gave me the date of completion for Dec 27.... Again.... Shoulder shrugs! How does someone run a business like this? Lack of respect for my shoes ( found on the floor) lack of honoring the delivery date with ZERO APOLOGIES. Then have the audacity to place blame on THE CUSTOMER for not having the repair FINISHED because I stated take your time! SOMEONE MAKE THIS MAKE SENSE TO ME!!!! I called my friend who highly recommended MASTER REPAIR SHOP in Rockville Maryland to me and let him know how my repair project was treated. He was beyond shocked. Many apologies from my friend but not ONE from the OWNER! Please avoid this shit hole ( physically a nasty mess... where my shoes were found on the floor) AT ALL COSTS!!! The owner is CLUELESS on how to provide great customer service. It was HEINOUS AND DEPLORABLE AT BEST! With the damage done to my shoes ( because he started my project) the price to fix them at another shop up the road was 50 dollars MORE... at $150.00! That's double the cost of the shoes when I bought them. When the owner said he would fix them in the next MONTH ( I have a late Winter wedding to attend and wanted to wear the shoes in question) I nearly lost my mind! I stared at him with such disappointment .... He then said... and I quote..." You didn't pay YET, so here" and held out my shoes to take. I took them and as I left I told him what I thought of his shitty customer service in Italian, Spanish and English! I'm sure he understood ONE of the three languages I speak! Master Repair Shop in Rockville, Md is a horrible place to have your shoes repaired. The customer service is beyond repair itself and I will NEVER EVER allow this shop to work on any of my shoes if I'm in need of repairs. It should NOT TAKE over 7 weeks to repair something this simple as my repair needs..... in his words! A complete disaster and I give Master Repair Shop in Rockville, Md a negative 10.... -10 !!!! Zero stars!!!! Had to put one star rating other wise it would not allow me to post! But still.... ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! A total shit hole! Kathryn L

This husband and wife team are a "dying" breed of artisans that hand craft leather goods for the horse trade (we're not horse owners) and other leather goods such as belts, wallets, and dog leashes. They also repair virtually anything made of leather: shoes, luggage, handbags, etc. They do all the work themselves right in their shop, not like the Korean Dry Cleaners that send the stuff out. We were so impressed with the quality of workmanship that we bought his and hers belts, and a dog leash. Wayne Groves fitted the belts to each of us and put on some finishing touches. The belts also were hand braided on the ends where the hardware was and the hand-loop, not riveted. Highly recommend if you have quality leather goods that need to be repaired, or if you are in the market for quality leather goods.

But that is not the reason to go there. He has been working in leather for over 40 years and is considered to be a Master Craftsman in his trade. Having many horses over the years I have needed his services often, and found the quality of his workmanship to be the best I have ever found. He can repair, restore or create anything made of leather, and the product will always be better than new. He was also very careful to undercharge for his services. We were very fortunate to have someone of his character and professionalism so close to home. I need to add a review of Murphy S, below, and note that he gives one star to 40% of his reviews. He only represents a small minority of the recent arrivals to our town and they tend to give us a bad name. He also refers to the renowned 5 star Chez Francois as his "neighborhood" restaurant. That snobbery alone tells you the caliber of the man.
